I’m off on a weekend away in South Wales - and it’s remarkable to see the difference in mentality here. In Swansea, I’ve seen THREE people wearing masks full stop and everybody seems to have forgotten about social distancing... (beautiful part of the world, though)

Yeah, on the whole the U.K. are controlling the virus most successfully than most of Europe at this point (consistently lower daily figures than France, Spain, Germany etc. according to Worldometers), so I think that largely all four countries are being sensible enough.

“Head & Heart” is really benefitting from being released at a time when people can actually go for Friday nights out - I imagine it might climb to #1 after tonight. Exciting stuff, it’s his best by far and MNEK deserves all the success he can get. :D

Just realised we’ve already had more number ones this year than we did in the whole of 2019 :o. It has been a very enjoyable year to follow the charts so far.

I spent nearly the whole day/night in pubs yesterday in a town full of drinkers/the kind of people you'd expect to be getting up to this kind of thing, and honestly, I can say with quite a lot of confidence that the vast majority have been observant of the rules and acting safely. Quite sure that any spike in cases we do see will only be small.

Very much excited at the prospect of his first “pop” album, him describing his influences for this record as Janet Jackson and Ariana Grande has got me cautiously optimistic.

Yes, glad someone else has picked up on the curious case of Spain. In all honesty, I don’t trust any country’s COVID figures - whether it’s the UK, Germany, Russia or whoever. Best to take it all with a pinch of salt as 90% of national leaders are tossers who’ll happily fiddle figures to paint themselves in a good light :,)
