  1. If Taylor and Rihanna both had a greatest hits album they’d be #1 and #2 it’s wild.
  2. The fact that there’s looking to be 8 Taylor Swift albums in the top 40 is wild (Midnights, Tortured Poets, Folklore, Evermore, 1989, 1989 TV, Reputation, Lover). Guess it really is Taylor Mania
  3. I reckon scrape #1, top 2 confirmed pretty much. he’s pretty much caught up on the Fri-Sun deficit entirely now from Mon/Tues streams; probably only of about 100K on Lola (and ahead of GaGa) which I imagine he will do Weds; and then Thurs calculated stream will be of the run rate of last few days . Could be his first #1, if not #2. GaGa missing out on a #2 it seems
  4. I think it’s moreso Christmas ACR and her having the last non Christmas #1. It’s not majorly benefitted her other than December and all Christmas songs being on ACR.
  5. Without all the compilation albums that are just certs because of Spotify playlisting; the top 3 is looking to be Taylor, Sabrina and Billie. Interesting that Chappel would close out the top 5 also, with Charli looking to be sixth. A very strong year for women in music
  6. Beyoncé has no shot of staying; it’d be a travesty if that album wins album of the year; nobody seems to be repeat listening to it. Should be a criteria for the album to be in the top 25 sales to win; as otherwise an album 95% of the population haven’t heard meaning it had minimal cultural impact.
  7. Wild to think both Beyonce and Dua have put out albums early in the year to aid with streaming sales and they’re both looking likely to not even be in the top 40. Beyoncé really does get by on her name as not many people seem to actually listen or buy her music.
  8. Ah I see, guess it just seems more impressive in the current sales climate where a 1M selling album in the U.K. is typically the strongest selling album of the year; whereas albums that sold 1M in the 80s/90s in the U.K. could be as low as the 20th best selling album of the year
  9. Crazy to think Taylor will probably have 7 albums reach the 1M mark next year Currently: 1989 Red Definitely hitting next year: Midnights Reputation Lover Very likely to hit next year: The Tortured Poets Department Folklore 7 albums over the million mark; is that a record?
  10. He’s got signed CDs so reckon he will be top 3. Lewis Capaldi got to #1 when he was about #12 on streaming because of his signed CDs
  11. Exactly my point she is making dated music. She’s very lucky to rely on duets with huge stars who help the duet perform well; without them she wouldn’t have had any hits in about a decade. The majority of the market would be making universal music
  12. No, Gaga’s song is very dated; not suprised the mass market aren’t listening to it; it’s just 25+ year olds
  13. I wonder if For You his other solo career song that’s been doing well has risen also. Would be nice if one of these two got in the top 40 in the overall chart.
  14. I hope For You - Liam/Rita goes up high, that song was underrated
  15. For me personally it’s the worst remix of the album, and the only track considerably worse than the original song. It has no chorus, which was the best bit of the song. There are some tracks I prefer more than the original: Them being: Club classics Von Dutch Everything is romantic Apple Girl, so confusing B2B I think about it all the time 365 Guess
