  1. Pretty sure last week Too Sweet was only part of the separate Unheard EP, but looks like an expanded version of the album has now been released featuring the four new tracks (and Too Sweet as track 1  ). Probably a good move as the song's popularity will help the album out a lot in places like the US which don't discount streams from the most popular tracks.
  2. Incredible for Hozier! Hope he can get a #1 with this, didn't see it coming at all!
  3. Sunday always seems to be a good day for Noah; for the record, that's the 13th Sunday in a row he's been Spotify #1 His streams are also up week-on-week, both today and in total from the past 7 days. Not going anywhere just yet
  4. Not as close as you'd think. Stick Season only overtook Lovin' On Me on 10th December, so it missed 16 days thanks to Christmas songs and would be on 91 now. Christmas songs weren't quite as dominant in 2019 so Dance Monkey still spent much of the first half of December at #1, and towards the middle of the month it was overtaken by Own It anyway. It only missed out on 7 days (1st, 7th, 8th, 21st, 22nd, 24th and 25th) and would be on 88. (feel free to correct me if my maths is off!)
  5. Yeah I would agree with this. It already has 12 consecutive weeks with sales over 50k, I think only Blinding Lights and Bad Habits have done so this decade. An early sign of good longevity although the real test is how well it continues to stream over the next several years...
  6. Seems like that's the year end #1 sewn up already unless we get another Bad Habits level hit. Stick Season is on track to do similar numbers to Flowers last year if it drops off at a similar rate. Chuffed for Noah, but it's sad how this is usually decided by the end of Q1 these days!
  7. The Spotify #1 is almost more interesting than the official #1 right now! Benson, Noah and Djo all swapping places every day within 20k streams of each other. Unfortunately looks like Benson is getting it this week when all platforms are taken into account. I imagine Noah will get a 10th week as "old rules" #1 though.
  8. Pleased for Djo getting a day at #1 even if it now appears to have next to no chance of getting there officially with Ariana taking off. I think Stick Season managed 72 days in the end. Might not get any more now, but still very impressive!
  9. Beyonce is dropping off a little but it's worth noting that 573k today is still a pretty huge figure, the only reason it seems relatively poor is that Stick Season is/was such a massive hit. This could just be the initial huge hype wearing off, she may still stabilise with good playlisting and get a few weeks at #1! (having said that, I personally enjoy a faster turnover at the top and would be happy with something else taking over, preferably Djo out of the current contenders)
  10. It's #31 in Ireland! I was checking out the top 50 yesterday and gave it a listen, quite enjoyed it.
  11. Yeah you're probably both right about Taylor, had forgotten she was releasing soon. We'll see though, if it performs worse than Midnights it could still fail to make YE #1. Know this argument has been brought up many times but I really think GH albums just shouldn't get streaming points. Streams of those songs are already contributing to the parent album every week. If we remove them the album chart would look much more fresh even if sales would be horrendous. You'd still get old albums like AM and Rumours sticking around forever, but those are genuinely popular albums. Is anybody actually streaming/buying The Highlights?
  12. Happy for Noah, what a great album. Unfortunately likely it will fade over the course of the year and the Weeknd will get it again. Still, maybe that will spur the OCC to rethink their rules on greatest hits albums and streaming
  13. Yeah you're probably right. I was actually quite surprised when looking at tickets recently that he hadn't added more dates at the last minute following his sudden success; all the dates were sold out even when I checked back in December, so there would definitely be demand for more. But he is moving onto Europe and then US without much delay, so perhaps there just wasn't time.
  14. With Noah's tour, it's worth noting that the dates were booked before he fully took off in the UK and so he's only playing to smaller stadiums of ~10k - still huge, but the biggest boosts we've seen were for artists like Harry and Taylor who were selling out multiple nights at Wembley, which holds nearly 100k people. Hopefully combined with the new version of the album releasing on Friday, it will still be enough of a boost for him to dodge ACR. It feels a little too soon for the track to go to ACR when Cruel Summer and Prada are on zero weeks of decline  Also loving the Michael Marcagi track right now, hope it can be big here! Already top 10 in Ireland.
  15. Thought this was a mistake since Frank Turner just released a song called Do One, but it turns out this does exist too... Lee Taub has 0 monthly listeners though
  16. Just pitching in to show love for Caution. It's so euphoric (and that Lindsey Buckingham guitar solo!)

I guess they just decided there's no point in compiling it anymore, since they have no way of separating the streams for Scotland vs rest of UK and the sales chart is virtually meaningless these days. I imagine the #1 on the Scottish chart was only doing about 100 sales per week. :(

Thanks for compiling this as usual, always an interesting read as a (mostly) lurker on here! My only comment: I believe Starboy was certified 4x platinum in February so its total should probably be something like 2.8m now?
  19. Well, I meant in comparison to last week. Streams were significantly up year-on-year for the first week of December and now they've fallen back a little. Last week there was snow, this week torrential rain. Seems like a reasonable theory to me!
  20. Wonder if this awful weather is what's dampening people's Christmas spirit? The rain has been nonstop here for the past week.

    Fast Car? B-)
  22. Last year in Xmas week FONY at #13 did 31,924 with Wham at #2 on 54k, I imagine it will get a fair amount of extra streams this year after the news regardless of a campaign, so may even need fewer than 20k downloads to take it? Would be great to see the song get #1 given the playlists are so US-centric, it's unlikely it will ever have another chance. (Also anything to stop Mariah or Wham getting it every year for the rest of time)
  23. I could see there being a lot of media coverage midweek if the Beatles are looking like getting #1 so that could help too! Really hope it doesn't miss out due to the Thursday release. Obviously might also drop off massively through the week and end up nowhere near but we'll see
  24. Genuinely can't understand how people can listen to Xmas songs from 1st Nov and not be absolutely sick of them by Christmas Day. At the very least pick some different ones to listen to instead of Mariah and Wham every year :(
  25. Did some calculations out of interest. Spotify totals after 3 days: 1. Is It Over Now (1,652,987) 2. Slut (1,441,744) 3. Now That We Don't Talk (1,403,962) 4. Style (1,381,772) 5. Say Don't Go (1,381,593) 6. Blank Space (1,184,945) 7. Out Of The Woods (1,161,200) 8. Welcome To New York (1,158,016) 9. Strangers (1,143,647) 10. Suburban Legends (1,123,528) So Kenya Grace still has a 260k deficit to make up in order to prevent an all-Taylor top 3 this week - that's 65k/day. Obviously can't know the totals from other platforms though. Shame to see Style dropping out, but hoping somehow Say Don't Go can get into the top 3
