  1. No way  Run Boy Run is amazing though, would have gone for that if I had known it was a winner!
  2. I have never even looked at BJSC until today and just chose the first answer I found so expecting big points :P
  3. Aww no, completely forgot to enter :(
  4. Happy to finally do well in something! :D Thanks for hosting!

Damn, I really thought barely anyone knew about the Rasmus! I'd have done so much better throughout this if I just guessed the most obvious answer every time... Ah well

Well, I suck at this, but a pointless answer for Shape of You at least
  7. What are Kodaline doing hanging around at 96? It's unusual for them to be top 100 outside of release week these days. Would be so pleased if this could become another minor hit for them even if it's not their best!
  8. Snow Patrol are supposed to be releasing their first single in 7 years today, though it's unclear what time... Be interesting to see how it does!
  9. Feel It Still up to 80%, can it get that iTunes #1 before something else comes along to ruin its chances? :o
  10. Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but 13 of the top 24 are currently 59p (and 6 of the top 7). Seems that's the only way to sell singles nowadays - perhaps they should make it the standard price? Also, Feel It Still could be up to 2 soon - if it could get to #1 on iTunes it would make my year! :o
  11. http://kworb.net/ww/ Zombie #1 worldwide though, I never realised they were so popular!

Surely some of these songs will gain more than 50% in sales this week and come off ACR?
  13. Where is What About Us? I would have thought it had sold significantly more than New Rules!
  14. From what I can find in the old threads: Death of You and Me: 17 iTunes, 15 official AKA What a Life: 20 iTunes, 20 official In the Heat of the Moment: 16 iTunes, 26 official So this is definitely his highest iTunes peak, but that's not saying much in this day and age.
  15. Sporcle quiz on this (made several years ago but just updated with new sales figures), if anybody is interested: https://www.sporcle.com/games/Yorkiebar357/...selling-singles Decided not to update it to include streams as I'm not sure you can even enter over 300 answers :P
  16. I can only agree with this decision if they continue to produce a separate million sellers list - or at the very least the ratio should be 150:1 for the purposes of this list. Seeing Shape of You above Bohemian Rhapsody is just insane, the total sales of tracks from the last 2 years are too inflated to reflect their true popularity. (I realise the list was never a perfect indicator of popularity due to sales being higher or lower in certain periods, but it was at least fair) On the other hand, it's a very interesting read :P
  17. Let's face it, Taylor could have released anything as the first single and it would have been a worldwide #1. She knew that so she's probably saving the big commercial song (something like Blank Space?) for the second single. Anyway, getting to #1 between 5am-9am is insane, most of her fanbase are probably still asleep.
  18. Looking forward to Taylor Swift's comeback as it's been a while, but please no more Bieber #1s... If he hadn't featured on about 600 tracks since his last album I'd just about be able to cope with a new single. Still, at least Dua Lipa will get a week at #1 which is a huge surprise!
  19. Going to have a go at explaining this in the hope that I understand it... The market fell by 0.3% this week, meaning it was 99.7% of the size it was last week, or 0.997 times. In order to have increased by 50% relative to the overall market, Despacito would have had to increase by (0.997 x 50%) = 49.85%. So more like an increase from 50 to 75k. This is basically 50%, so really we can just ignore the extra term. The whole thing is quite ridiculous though, I get that they're trying to freshen up the chart but it really means nothing now.
  20. If any Enrique song it should have been Bailando getting this huge success - it even had an (inferior) English version but never really took off here :( Still, if Despacito has started a trend of foreign-language hits actually becoming popular in the UK then I suppose that's a good thing.
  21. What a mess. Ever since streaming has been introduced the chart has been getting more and more difficult to follow, to the point where it's impossible to compare the success of singles from even a couple of years apart or work out any sort of sales total. Actually these changes should be good for speeding up the chart, but as people have said if a song increases sales one week due to being discounted or performed somewhere, it will get a massive arbitrary spike in its chart run for several weeks even if not more popular. Also I'm guessing featured artists won't be counted towards the three track maximum, so somebody like Bieber could still have about 6 entries in the top 40. Like others have said, don't see how it's difficult to just remove album tracks rather than putting some limit on how many singles one can have. And as always when they change the rules, it's frustrating for the tracks that were denied high peaks due to the Ed Sheeran invasion this year, where under the new rules they would have performed better. Sorry for ranting. All this is why I follow the sales chart rather than the official one. :P
  22. 45. Kodaline - Brother 1340. Kodaline - Brother (Stripped Back) It's going to just miss out on the iTunes top 40 isn't it? :(
  23. 85. Kodaline - Brother Was expecting to see the "stripped back" version appearing at least in the top 1500 since it was released at the same time, and I'd have thought many of the fans would buy both. Just me then? :P
  24. Usually only read these threads and rarely comment, but may emerge to stan for Kodaline this week :w00t: (Who am I kidding, it'll spend about 2 days in the top 100 then disappear forever... Hoping the album does well though)
