  1. Not even that. It's still not Platinum yet.
  2. Yup, that's precisely what happened!
  3. Could this be the first year since 2013 that neither of the two biggest albums are by Adele or Ed Sheeran? And first without them in the top 3 since 2010?
  4. The OCC have way lower estimates for Legend than you do Gezza

I'm amazed that Faded has taken this long to go 2x Platinum
  6. I always look forward to this list Gezza!
  7. I know this is only about albums, but I'm amazed how well George Ezra's done on the singles front. I was certain he'd struggle for a hit in the streaming era, particularly after "Don't Matter Now" bombed, but he's proven all doubters wrong with two of the ten biggest songs of the year!
  8. I guess that's it for sales of The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac, now that 50 Years is out
  9. Here's a statement I never thought I'd make: Paloma Faith has outsold the Arctic Monkeys.
  10. Shit, Drake and Post Malone are basically obsolete when it comes to CD/vinyl. Hip hop fans DO NOT CARE about physical albums.
  11. Even being number 1 won't guarantee you. In 2017, Lana Del Rey's Lust for Life literally just made the top 100 despite being a chart topper.
  12. George only managed one week at the top and yet is streets ahead of the (solo artists) competition
  13. Rod Stewart has outsold the Arctic Monkeys!
  14. If Fleetwood Mac hadn't brought out another greatest hits, then their "Very Best of" album would have overtaken Kylie.
  15. Yup. Only other songs not to make the top 5 are Chasing Cars and Don't Stop Believin', which both made number 6.
  16. It’s the song that refuses to disappear: after regularly featuring in the singles Top 100 for the last two years, The Killers’ Mr. Brightside reaches a landmark one million sales (1.01m), according to Official Charts Company data. While streaming is the primary reason for the song's regular appearance in the chart, Mr. Brightside has been downloaded on average 529 times a week in 2018, helping it achieve the milestone sales figure. Mr. Brightside spent just four weeks in the Top 100 when it was released in 2004, peaking at Number 10. It's since gone on to become a staple at many a party or club night, helping it notch up lots of streams and downloads every week. In a report by the trade body for the UK's record labels, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), Mr Brightside was revealed as the most streamed song of any track released before 2010. In 2017 the song logged 40 weeks in the Top 100, and so far this year it has made ten appearances. Not bad for a song released almost 15 years ago. Mr. Brightside joins just 176 other songs that have sold over one million in the UK (excluding streams). Check out the full rundown of the bestselling singles of all time here.
  17. It's amazing how albums can remain so popular a year after release
  18. 1.81m and 1.5m, respectively.
  19. As would Perfect.
  20. Jess's first album was already loaded with hits before it came out.
  21. Didn't realise TBH&C had already been out of the top 100 for a month. Dear oh dear.
  22. The Chainsmokers are one of the biggest artists on Spotify. No way will SJLT die down.
  23. Either Shotgun has just overtaken These Days or is just about to be overtaken by it.

2000 holds the record for the largest amount of different number ones in one year, with 42. There were 38 in 2014 and 36 in both 1999 and 2012. Now that we're fully in the streaming era, that record will never be broken. Or will it...?
