Do you remember the first song you streamed?
First song I ever bought was I'm Not Alone by Calvin Harris, and that's because I grew up in the piracy era. Me and my brothers and sisters used to use Kazaa and Limewire to get our hands on illegal MP3s all the time. Kept using those until the end of the 2000s. First streamed song I'm not sure, as my family used Spotify all the time before it was cool. I think "Here We Go" by Stakka Bo was the first one I clicked on on my own.

Miley Cyrus's Official Top 10 biggest songs
By Justin Myers From Hannah Montana to tongue-waggling wild child and beyond, Miley Cyrus has been something of a chameleon during her pop career. Now she's back with a new look and a new sound and a new single, Malibu, but what about the hits that came before it? We count down Miley's top selling and most streamed hits and look at her career highlights. See You Again Miley's first hit, and something of a landmark track, a sit marked her transition from cheery Disney princess Hannah Montana into herself. It peaked at Number 11 in 2008 – a position Miley would see quite a bit of over the next few years. See You Again has sold 155,000 copies. ADVERTISING The Climb The Top 10 evaded Miley yet again with this sweeping ballad, stalling at Number 11 in spring 2009. But there was bigger success ahead for this song — just for someone else. X Factor winner Joe McElderry covered the track and took it to Number 1 (eventually) at New Year and even gave Miley a boost in the process, returning her version to the Top 40. Although she didn't manage to clamber to Joe's heights, The Climb has a sales tally of 362,000 and has 6.3 million listens under its utility belt. MORE: The curse of Number 11– big songs that missed the Top 10 Party in the USA The curse of Number 11 struck yet again for Miley – what was this girl gonna have to do to get in that Top 10? It's practically internet law that when talking about this song, you must mention Jessie J was one of the writers, so there you go. Party in the USA sold 306,000 copies and has a streaming tally of 15.8 million. QUIZ: Secret superstar songwriters – the popstars who wrote hits for others Can't Be Tamed As with most stars who start out with a cutesy, tween image, Miley was trying to shed her Hannah Montana skin once and for all, and her first serious attempt was on Can't Be Tamed. The track is basically a three-minute long statement of intent – Miley will be breaking free and doing her own thing anytime soon and was unstoppable. In case you missed the song's subtleties, Miley was in a cage for the video. Needless to say, the track's parent album would be her last with that record label. Can't Be Tamed couldn't charm its way past Number 13, sadly, but it has sold 119,000 copies. And now comes the big change we knew was coming… We Can't Stop So what does Miley have to do to get into the Top 10, we asked. Well, the answer seems to be wreck a mansion, bath in milk, lick everything in site, step on a skull made of french fries, hint that someone is doing drugs in the next room, twerk, rock a onesie and create general havoc. Oh, and produce a genuinely brilliant pop song that would perfectly capture the (rich) millennial moment. We Can't Stop, lead single from Miley's amazingly titled album Bangerz, divided fans and critics alike but it was pretty unapologetic, especially when it went straight in at Number 1 in August 2013 to give Miley her first Top 10 and chart-topper to boot. It's perhaps no surprise that We Can't Stop finishes as her best seller, shifting 514,000 copies, and on streams it's 15.8 million. Wrecking Ball How do you follow a heavily stylised, hedonistic call to arms like We Can't Stop? Well, you sit on a wrecking ball naked, that's how. The Miley media machine was in full swing with the release of this emotional, yet ballsy ballad that both showed Miley's sensitive side and added more fuel to the fire of controversy – especially when Miley licked a sledgehammer. Look, she's just naturally curious, OK? Wrecking Ball also went straight in at the top, beating Eminem in the process. The track smashed its way to 507,000 sales and has 20.2 million listens to its name, making it Miley's most streamed track. Feelin' Myself Miley's most recent Top 10 was an all-star collaboration with will.i.am, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana and DJ Mustard, reaching Number 2 in February 2014 – yes, Miley has really been away from the Official Singles Chart for over three years. The track has sold 347,000 copies and gained 18.6 million plays to be her second most streamed track. Official Top 20 Biggest Selling Singles By Female Artists
Leona was 21st when they did a top 40 in 2014. A few shimmies around in the top 20 since then but the biggest change is Mariah jumping up 6 places from 24 to 18, sending out I Feel Love by Donna Summer. Not sure how well Leona does on trickle sales.

Official Top 20 Biggest Selling Singles By Female Artists
Interntional Women's Day was only 7 weeks ago, but they fancied posting it again! Official Top 20 Biggest Selling Singles Of All Time By Female Artists By Rob Copsey If there’s one thing the Official Singles Chart would be pretty dull without, it’s female singers, so let's count down the UK’s Official Top 20 biggest selling singles of all time by female artists. Leading the way is a woman whose pop career spans over 50 years: Cher. Her Number 1 hit Believe, which spent seven weeks at the summit in 1998, has sold 1.82 million copies in the UK (excluding streams). It's somewhat fitting Cher should top this list; her latest reinvention as a prolific social media/anti-Trump activist has introduced her to a new generation and she does have one of the longest careers in the music business – her first hit was over 50 years ago. Behind Cher is another celebrated voice – the late, great Whitney Houston. Whitney, who passed away in February 2012, spent a whopping ten weeks at Number 1 with I Will Always Love You, taken from the soundtrack of hit movie The Bodyguard. The track, which was written and originally recorded by country star Dolly Parton, has sold 1.638 million copies in the UK alone. Catching up to Whitney fast, it's a more recent entry from Adele, who places third with Someone Like You. The track, which has sold 1.637 million, took over the world in February 2011 and logged a total of five weeks at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart. Coming in fourth is another one of the world's most recognisable voices - Celine Dion with her global smash My Heart Will Go On. Released in 1998 as the theme to Titanic, the song spent two non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 in the UK and has sold 1.58 million to date. Celine makes a second entry on the list, at Number 9 with her 1994 single Think Twice (1.37m). Oh baby, baby, you knew Britney had to be in here somewhere, right? And here she is completing the Top 5. Her debut single …Baby One More Time spent just two weeks at Number 1 in 1999, but it sure shifted plenty of copies while it was there. Its sales tally stands at 1.56 million – it sold over 460,000 copies in its first week on sale. Elsewhere in the Top 20, the Spice Girls feature twice with their 1996 chart-toppers Wannabe (1.38m) and 2 Become 1 (1.14m), as does Rihanna with We Found Love (1.41m) and Only Girl (In The World) (1.16m). The oldest song on the list is Jennifer Rush's 1985 hit The Power Of Love (1.45m), while the most recent goes to Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe, released in 2012 (1.35m). Pink's Official Top 20 biggest songs
I asked the OCC about their blunder with Lady Marmalade's sales. Last week when they announced Xtina's top 20, it said "On her rundown, it clocks in as her fourth biggest song overall, combining sales of 676,000 and 9.3 million."

Pink's Official Top 20 biggest songs
Pink's Official Top 20 biggest songs We count down Pink all-time biggest selling and most streamed hits. By Justin Myers It's more than 17 years since Pink scored her first UK hit with punchy debut There You Go. She's changed her sound ad her look numerous times, but she's been fairly consistent when it's come to success. She's had 28 UK Top 40s, including 18 Top 10s and three Number 1s, but when it comes to shifting your actual copies, what's her top song? Before we go hard with the Top 20, here are some highlights: Lady Marmalade Her first chart-topper, Pink joined forces with Mya, Christina Aguilera and Lil Kim for the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. This cover has been a hit a couple of times before, and in a way this was Pink's farewell to the slick R&B sound of her debut album Can't Take Me Home – she was soon to reinvent herself on next single Get The Party Started with a more bolshy, rocky sound. Pink's version of Lady Marmalade has sold 582,000 copies and racked up 9.3 million streams since we began counting in 2014, to finish as her third biggest song overall. Just Like A Pill Pink's first chart-topper all by herself, Just Like A Pill was the perfect tune for anyone who'd ever felt like telling someone to sod off. It knocked Atomic Kitten off Number 1 in September 2002 to spend a week at the top. It's sold 377,000 copies and achieved 5.5 million plays in the last couple of years – but, perhaps surprisingly, it doesn't make Pink's ultimate Top 5! So What So What, Number 1 in 2008, is Pink's best selling chart-topper. Over 617,000 of you have bought what turned out to be Pink's most recent Number 1 – but we're sure another is on its way. Those sales and 7.1 million streams help So What to be Pink's all-time runner-up biggest song. Raise Your Glass Raise Your Glass, which led Pink's 2010 greatest hits collection, is her biggest selling non-Top 10. It's sold 438,000 copies despite reaching only Number 13 – thanks in part, no doubt, to the song featuring on the second series of Glee in 2011. 7.7 million streams lift it to be her fourth biggest tune. Just Give Me A Reason It's perhaps fitting that the top song on Pink's countdown never actually made it to the top of the Official Singles Chart – although it had a good go. Just Give Me A Reason, which featured fun lead singer Nate Ruess, spent 11 weeks inside the Top 10, two of which at Number 2. It was held off, however, in the first week by a surprise return to the charts by TV presenters Ant & Dec. After performing their 1994 classic Let's Get Ready To Rhumble on their Saturday Night Takeaway show, the track shot to Number 1, finishing just 5,000 copies ahead of poor Pink and Nate. It didn't make it to Number 1, but it has shifted over 847,000 copies and racked up almost 18 million listens to make it Pink's biggest song. Just Like Fire Thanks to being her only Top 40 hit so far to be released since streaming began to contribute to the chart, Pink's most streamed tune is not one of her classics, but Just Like Fire, from Alice In Wonderland. The song reached 19 in June 2016, with 20.3 million plays and 157,000 sales. Christina Aguilera's Official Top 20 biggest songs
Christina Aguilera's Official Top 20 biggest songs By Justin Myers She's the fighter who loved to get dirrty and owed her early success to a magical genie – kind of. She's been away a while, but the signs are good for a Christina Aguilera comeback in 2017. She's confirmed a new album is coming. While we wait, we look at the songs that got her here – an impressive lineup of 23 Top 40 hits, of which 17 went Top 10 and four made it all the way to Number 1. Before we reveal the full Top 20, some highlights: Genie in a Bottle Every pop superstar's career has to start somewhere and Christina's kickoff was better than most. A genuine phenomenon when released in 1999, demand was so high that the US import charted the week before its official UK release. Shifting 172,000 copies in that first seven days on sale, Genie in a Bottle spent two weeks at Number 1. It lands as her second biggest song with 712,300 copies sold, and 5.9 million streams. Lady Marmalade Some of Christina's most enduring hits have been her team-ups with other huge artists – she is not afraid of a collaboration! 2001's Lady Marmalade was a real turning point for Christina – while she'd been spotted out and about sporting a more outré look, this was the first time we'd seen Christina fully expressing herself and letting out her wild side. With Lil Kim, Pink and Mya on board, this was a guaranteed hit – another Number 1. On her rundown, it clocks in as her fourth biggest song overall, combining sales of 676,000 and 9.3 million. Dirrty So if Lady Marmalade was the starter, here was the main. Christina was pulling no punches – indeed, the video was set at a very rough boxing match – on this fantastically gritty Number 1 from 2002. The lead from her huge-selling sophomore album Stripped, Dirrty spent two weeks rubbing itself up against the Number 1 spot, and has scored 393,000 sales and 6.7 million streams to land in Christina's all-time Top 5. Beautiful Christina's last Number 1 (so far), this classic "look hun, you're actually a really great person so who cares what people think" ballad knocked Tatu's All The Things She Said off the top in 2003. It's sold 377,400 copies and racked up 6.6 million plays since we started counting in 2014. Moves Like Jagger Now, a big one. Christina hadn't been in the Top 10 for a while when this insanely catchy track from a revitalised Maroon 5 came along in 2011. Christina's scene-stealing cameo helped Moves Like Jagger to million-selling status – but it couldn't lift it to Number 1. Yep, Moves Like Jagger spent an agonising SEVEN weeks at 2, beaten to the top by six different songs, including Example, Rihanna FT Calvin Harris, Pixie Lott and One Direction. In fact, Moves Like Jagger is the second bestselling single in the history of the Official Singles Chart not to get to Number 1, beaten (again) by Wham’s Last Christmas. It was the second biggest selling single of 2011, behind Adele's Someone Like You, and is Christina's biggest song in the UK – 1.53 million sales and 16.8 million streams. However… while it is her top seller, it isn't her most streamed track. Say Something Another memorable feature from Christina, this song became a hit after our leading lady spotted it on So You Think You Can Dance – we can just imagine Christina settling down to watch this at home, shouting out NO whenever someone attempted the moves from Dirrty – and was anxious to collaborate with A Great Big World on a new version. The Christina-enhanced song reached Number 4 in 2014 and sold 432,000 copies. It's Christina's most streamed track in the UK, notching up 31 million plays, helping it to finish third in her all-time Top 20. It's also her most recent Top 40 hit – but we reckon that will change pretty soon… The Official Top 20 biggest Christina Aguilera songs: SONG BY PEAK YEAR 1 MOVES LIKE JAGGER MAROON 5 FEAT CHRISTINA AGUILERA 2 2011 2 GENIE IN A BOTTLE CHRISTINA AGUILERA 1 1999 3 LADY MARMALADE CHRISTINA AGUILERA/LIL' KIM/MYA/PINK 1 2001 4 SAY SOMETHING A GREAT BIG WORLD/CHRISTINA AGUILERA 4 2014 5 DIRRTY CHRISTINA AGUILERA FEAT REDMAN 1 2002 6 BEAUTIFUL CHRISTINA AGUILERA 1 2003 7 FEEL THIS MOMENT PITBULL FEAT CHRISTINA AGUILERA 5 2013 8 CANDYMAN CHRISTINA AGUILERA 17 2007 9 AIN'T NO OTHER MAN CHRISTINA AGUILERA 2 2006 10 HURT CHRISTINA AGUILERA 11 2006 11 FIGHTER CHRISTINA AGUILERA 3 2003 12 WHAT A GIRL WANTS CHRISTINA AGUILERA 3 2000 13 TELL ME P DIDDY FEAT CHRISTINA AGUILERA 8 2006 14 NOBODY WANTS TO BE LONELY RICKY MARTIN WITH C AGUILERA 4 2001 15 CAR WASH CHRISTINA AGUILERA FEAT MISSY ELLIOTT 4 2004 16 TILT YA HEAD BACK NELLY & CHRISTINA AGUILERA 5 2004 17 COME ON OVER BABY (ALL I WANT IS YOU) CHRISTINA AGUILERA 8 2000 18 CAN'T HOLD US DOWN CHRISTINA AGUILERA FEAT LIL' KIM 6 2003 19 THE VOICE WITHIN CHRISTINA AGUILERA 9 2003 20 KEEPS GETTIN' BETTER CHRISTINA AGUILERA 14 2008 ©2017 Official Charts Company. The Official Top 100 biggest Hip-Hop Songs of all time
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Drake is a pop singer, not a rapper.

The Official Top 100 biggest Hip-Hop Songs of all time
The Official Top 100 biggest Hip-Hop Songs of all time Packed with classics by Jay Z, Eminem, 50 Cent and Kanye West, but who finishes top of the pile? By Rob Copsey April on BBC Radio 1Xtra marks MC Month; and to celebrate, the station has exclusively revealed the UK's Official Top 100 Hip-Hop Songs of all time. The Top 100 is, of course, based on Official Charts Company data, combining sales (physical and download) and streaming equivalent sales. At Number 1 is none other than Drake's mammoth single One Dance, which spent a whopping 15 weeks at Number 1 in 2016. With combined chart sales of 2.1 million, the track bests second place I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy ft Faith Evans by some 400,000 equivalent units. The highest placing Number 2 hit is in third - Eminem and Rihanna's huge track Love The Way You Lie. This chart really is all about when tornadoes meet volcanoes with big tracks such as the Fugees' Killing Me Softly sitting back-to-back with Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise. Elsewhere names such as Run DMC, Jay Z, Nelly, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kanye West and Outkast feature on the amazing list. Luckily for everyone out there, you will be able to hear the UK's Official Top 100 Hip-Hop Songs in full once again very soon on BBC iPlayer.

5 random chart facts of the week to make you go "oooooh"
(Sorry if this was already posted) 5 random chart facts of the week to make you go "oooooh" By Justin Myers Why should geeks and nerds get all the fun? Now anyone can know loads of Very Important Things with our quick roundup of fun facts from the Official Chart this week. Harry Styles is Number 1 this week with Sign of the Times – thanks to Ed Sheeran's mammoth stint at the top, Harry's only the second new Number 1 of 2017. At 5:41, Sign of the Times is one of the longest Number 1s in a while. The last time a chart-topper went over five minutes – in its single version – was Martin Garrix's Animals, which spent a week at Number 1 in November 2013. Staying with the theme of, erm, length, it's 20 years this week since Blur's Song 2, which is one of the shortest songs to chart at a mere 2:02, went in at – you've guessed it – Number 2! The track has sold 370,300 copies and notched up 16.7 million plays since we started counting in 2014. It's still pretty popular – it hasn't dropped below 100 downloads a week since June 2006. ADVERTISING It's Easter weekend! Yay! Sadly Easter isn't as well represented in the charts as Christmas is – that's Christmas all over, eh, what a show off. Only one song called Easter has made the Top 40, reaching 34 in 1990 for Marillion. Only one song with "egg" in the title has charted, thanks to Flowered Up's double A-side Egg Rush/It's On hitting 38 in 1991. But when it comes to chocolate, we're really cooking. There have been eight Top 40s with a chocolate flavour, from the likes of Kylie, The 1975, and Bros. TWO chocolatey songs have gone Number 1: South Park Chef's "hilarious" Chocolate Salty Balls in 1998 and Shanks & Bigfoot's Sweet Like Chocolate in 1999. Our Twitter mate @cabellosglory wanted to know what Little Mix's best selling non-single was and we were only too happy to do a little digging! The honour goes to Oops, featuring Charlie Puth, which was never an official single but, thanks to a performance on The X Factor, managed to reach Number 41 all by itself. It's sold 35,500 copies and notched up 14.7 million plays. Highest new entry on this week's Official Albums Chart is the Chainsmokers' Memories: Do Not Open. Only two other albums with the word "memories" in the title have made the Top 10. The first was Scottish band Travis, who took 12 Memories to Number 3 in 2003, while the big one was One Direction's Midnight Memories, the band's fourth album, which hit the top in 2013. Midnight Memories has sold 881,300 copies and it's still finding new fans – over the last year it's been selling an average of 115 copies a week.
