A little history before we begin... In 2005, Nielsen began tracking the sales of digital downloads across most (Western) European markets and launched the Euro Digital Tracks chart. This was a top 20 based directly on sales and different remixes and edits of the same song could chart. In 2008, Nielsen launched the Euro Digital Songs chart - a Top 50 where all versions of a song download were combined into the weekly sales total (barring remixes totally unlike the original e.g. Jennifer Lopez I'm Real). The Euro Digital Tracks chart eventually became nearly identical to the Euro Digital Songs when fewer artists released different versions to digital music retailers and the chart was discontinued in November 2014. Similarly Billboard/Nielsen discontinued the long-running European Hot 100 Singles charts in December 2010, which were based upon points assigned to each chart position in the included country's official singles chart and weighted by the IFPI-reported market size of each country. Thus the world was left with only one pan-European sales chart. Today the chart has been reduced to a Top 20 (which happened in August 2013) and the countries monitored include the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece. And now on to the charts!

I have a question as someone new to the forums: what is the difference between the to MTV Euro threads (Top 20 and Top 40)?

I love "Million Miles" so I'm okay with that, though KMO was very mixed for me. I'd also take something in the vein of "Get Outta My Way" - The global smash that never was :cry: :cry:
