  1. Don't know whether I'm just being bias or not, this being my era and all but there seems to be a lot of good singles from 1989 that are now largely forgotten about. There will be more coming up later but one currently charting is the song by Ten City, which I bought at the time and still love it now.
  2. I had the same singles on 7", except I had Bomb The Bass instead of the Hollies.
  3. I was considering entering the Funky Green Dogs song myself but went with something else instead
  4. Wow! My best result so far, even though my first choice At Th River by Groove Armarda was vetoed. Thanks to everyone who voted.
  5. The Forthright Edit of Spinning The Wheel is worth checking out, I prefer it to the album version.
  6. The Newbeats singer Larry Henley later earned his bread & butter as a songwriter-co-writing Wind Beneath My Wings.

    I'm free
  8. Rapture by Blondie is good but the rap is nonsensical. Tin tin included Steve Kipner who later wrote some classics like Physical & Hard habit to break.
  9. I love Blinded By The Light but can never make sense of the lyrics. For example. "And go-kart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart To see if it was safe outside And little Early-Pearly came by in his curly-wurly And asked me if I needed a ride "
  10. And the no.1 is....

Knowing England, Slovakia will equalise and we'll go out on penalties!

Controversial I know but what about Take Me To The Clouds Above being included.
  13. Oasis performing two songs on the same show, I think it was The Jam who were the last ones to do so.
  14. Other than my own entry one of my fave britpop songs is listed! :D It may get my 12 points...looking forward to listening to the other entries.
  15. Yes, great band. I always liked BMR as a kid, then bought their compilation about ten years ago. One that hasn't been mentioned, which is a fave of mine is As Long As I Can See The Light.
