  1. Week ending 1st Sept 1984 top 3 cleared 100k, George Michael, Stevie Wonder & Black Lace.
  2. Excellent chart, will make a great (and long) playlist!

    I say, I don't like 10cc I love them! :D
  4. Spinning the wheel is a good song, which almost made my rates. The Fortnight remix is better than the album version.
  5. What's Up is a classic. It won't be the last classic hit Linda Perry writes.
  6. Break it down again -Tears For Fears. Good song it passed me by in 93 but discovered it some years ago after getting their Best Of album.
  7. George Michaels version of Killer on the Five Live EP is excellent. Like Freddy Mercury did at Live Aid in 1985, George's rendition of Somebody To Love at the tribute concert stole the show.
  8. Don't Walk Away must have been deleted as looking at its chart run its out of the chart just three weeks after peaking 36-20-11-9-8-{7}-13-51 Which is a shame as it probably would have sold alot more
  9. I can't help but wonder if it had been some novelty song whether they'd have done the same thing.
  10. Holding Back The Years always reminds me of the episode of Only Fools & Horses when it is heard playing at Rodney's wedding reception. Classic song, Classic sitcom.

I'd add Hits collection by The Small Faces, one of my favourite bands of the 60s. Other than their hits other good songs by them include Autumn Stone, Rolling Over and their version of Every Little Bit Hurts is the best version I've heard.
  12. Madness - Michael Caine is another not listed :P Voted for Weezer
  13. The OCC count the same songs twice because they count them as products due to the different label and/or catalogue number. It's all very business like for the OCC!
  14. I'm surprised some of the songs I voted for are still in and surprised by the ones that have gone out! Glad I kept McCartney from nil points.

Cream Disraeli Gears Otis Redding Otis Blue Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet Led Zeppelin Led Zeppellin II
  16. What about Doctor in the Tardis by Timelords ? I know this is early KLF but it does include the use of a Gary Glitter song.
  17. I'd nominate Japanese boy by Aneka to be added
  18. Common people - Pulp
  19. I think House Of Love is East 17's best song, much prefer it to Stay Another Day. The story of 1993 is on next week and we haven't even reached the end of 1992 yet :o
  20. The OCC are losing their rights from April and Iam taking over!
  21. To be fair Lonnie Donegan was one of the leading pioneers of rock n roll, it's not an exaggeration to say if it weren't for him The Beatles would never have happened. I know Dustman is a comedy song but imo I wouldn't add any of his other no.1s.
  22. The only one on that list id take off is Chirpy Chirpy Cheap Cheap it's a bit of a guilty pleasure for me! Other than that the rest are not good. Even though I've never heard some of the very early ones but stuff before 1955 was generally not very good anyway.
  23. Don't you want me is a banger, so long since I heard it forgot just how good it sounded. Just another day is good too. I like Barcelona aswell and I'm not usually a fan of opera but Freddie is fantastic as always.

Nice song but I prefer the b-side Situation, which became a hit in 1990.
