Hey JSG, thanks again for your reply. I do think Training Season is very similar to Houdini, which I still love. Nothing Matters is very different to anything else around, it’s growing on me quite a bit now. As a big fan of Rag n Bone Man and Giants too, I expected better from this one. Maybe a grower for me, feels there’s something missing. I wasn’t sure about Texas Hold Em at first as I’m not generally a country and haven’t liked much of Beyonce’s recent output. This is another grower for me I think.

I'm a big fan of Ella Henderson, and love the sample Pastime / Gangsta's Paradise. Here is my top 40 of the year derived from a scoring system, based on weekly chart positions - 1 point for a week at #40, through to 40 points for a week at #1. Topping my 2023 chart is Tom Grennan's Here, having spent 3 weeks at #1 in March, and a total of 13 weeks on my chart. Tom is also at #20 with You Are Not Alone and #30 with How Does It Feel. All 3 are from his excellent 3rd album What Ifs & Maybes. In 2nd place is Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire, having spent 4 weeks at #1 in July. It is the first single to come from her brilliant 2nd album Guts, which I'm still listening to. Lewis Capadi's Broken By Desire... has to be my favourite album of the year. 2 songs from it are in my top 5 of 2023 - Pointless at #3 and Wish You The Best at #4. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds album Council Skies is their best so far in my opinion. Open The Door, See What You Find is the highlight for me and completes my top 5. Pink's Trustfall is at #6, title track from her latest album. Dance The Night is another great song from Dua Lipa at #7, despite being from the Barbie soundtrack, Houdini is also at #19! Dermot Kennedy had a great year for me, Don't Forget Me is #8 and Sunday is #24. #9 is Mountain, another great release from Sam Ryder. Last but not least, Ed Sheeran is at #10 with Eyes Closed, Ed has been and continues to be consistently good in my opinion.
