Adele's Personal Chart - W/E 3 Feb 2023
Thanks for the comments, I’m really liking Taylor’s album and Lavender Haze is one of the highlights for me. Loving Pink’s Trustfall, just as good as Never Gonna Not Dance Again for me. Love Red Flags too, I’ve liked all of Mimi’s singles so far and looking forward to hearing the album.

Thanks Sergej. Liking Can’t Stay Away on first listen this week, likely to be a grower for me I think. Lavender Haze is one of the highlights of Taylor’s album, along with Anti-Hero.

Adele's Personal Chart - W/E 6 Jan 2023
Thanks JSG, new year was great thanks and hope yours was too. I really like Hate It When You’re Drunk, I know it’s not had the best reaction but it’s just a good fun pop song for me. There’s a new film about Whitney I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Don’t Cry For Me is a previously unreleased track on the soundtrack. There’s been a few new Gabrielle Aplin songs, this is the one I’ve liked the best so far. I loved I Drink Wine when I first heard it last year on the 30 album, slightly less so now. New material would have been better for her,

Adele's Personal Chart - Year 2022
Here is my year end chart, determined by giving each song in the weekly charts 1 point for a #40 placement to 40 points for a #1 then totalling it up. Harry Styles therefore tops this year end chart with As It Was, one of just 3 songs to have spent 13+ weeks on my chart. Dermot Kennedy's Something To Someone is at #2 and Queen's Face It Alone is at #3. The latter track is still in the weekly chart, as is Ed Sheeran's Celestial at #4. Sophie Ellis Bextor's Hypnotised is the joint longest runner of the year and at #5 overall. The highest song not to have gone top 3 is Tom Chaplin's Gravitational at #36. Highest non-top 5 is Mimi Webb with Goodbye at #53, whilst only 2 non-top 10 hits are in the list - When You See It by Sterophonics #84 and Snap by Rosa Linn #91. Thanks for your comments. I actually really like Pointless, I know it’s not been received particularly well for some reason. Escapism has been quite the grower for me, wasn’t keen when I first heard it but loving it now. I believe this one of The Weeknd’s is from the Avatar soundtrack, maybe there’s another actual single coming soon. Perhaps it’s the big long title of Lana’s song putting people off, I’m liking it anyway. 😀

Adele's Personal Chart - W/E 25 Nov 2022
Thanks for your comments. Anti-Hero is still great, Face It Alone just had to be #1 this week though as I'm a huge fan of Queen / Freddie Mercury. Ghost Of You is probably my favourite of Mimi Webb's songs so far now, it has been on my chart for a good few weeks though. Same for Kiss Me, probably my favourite of Dermot's now too. I listened to his new album Sonder the other day and loving it too.

Thanks for your replies. Celestial has to be one of my favourites from Ed, it deserves more success though. Agreed about Taylor Swift, I like 1989, Red and Midnights (only heard it twice so far) for albums. Ellie's certainly not as good as she was on her first 3 albums, although I do like Let It Die as a dance pop song that it is.

Queen's "new" previously unreleased track Face It Alone debuts at #3, Freddie sounds as great as ever on this. George Ezra is all over the #4 position as he climbs 2, and Liam Gallagher's still too good to leave the top 5, down to #5. Mimi Webb and Olly Murs make upward movements after their respective high debuts last week. Tom Walker has the second highest new entry with The Best Is Yet to Come at #13, another good one from him.
