  1. Well that blows.

Don't tell me you expected an album for 2010 with Don't Stop Believing, Here Come The Girls & Concerts going on? Not only would she be pushed for time yet again but she wouldn't be able to promote it. :P Early 2011 is way better and a better chance for a fresh start in my opinion!

The Sunday Express has published a new interview in today's edition regarding Anastacia's upcoming appearances on Don't Stop Believing which starts next Sunday on channel Five. Click here to listen to the audio and you can read the interview below.

Scans and a new photoshoot can be found on www.anastaciadreams.com

    ----------------------------------------------------

ANASTACIA sold 20 million records, now she wants to help someone else do the same. She tells David Stephenson about becoming a judge on TV’s newest talent show...

Pop singer Anastacia, who is entering the competitive world of TV talent judging on Five with Don’t Stop Believing, will often repeat a favourite line from her agent.

When asked whether she would also like to be a judge on The X Factor, Anastacia replies, in her lovely American twang: “That’s a high-class problem!”

What she means is that if such an offer arrives from Simon Cowell it would have to compete with other options.

She is a busy singer with touring, singles and recently an ice dancing show in Germany. Life is that bizarre when you are a global singing talent who has sold more than 20 million albums.

Don’t Stop Believing, she tells me in London, is exactly the sort of talent show she was looking to do: “It’s probably the right show and the right title for somebody like me,” she says.

“I’ve always enjoyed watching Pop Idol and The X Factor and it felt like I’d love to be on one of those shows but then you think, ‘Oh my God, it’s too much pressure judging things; how do you know what to say?’

“Then I read the treatment of what this show was and I said: ‘What a nice, refreshing new idea.’

“The show hasn’t been done before so I don’t feel as much pressure not to say what’s been said before by judges.

It’s sort of, ‘How do you talk about something that’s never been done before?’ It’s exciting.”

The singer hasn’t seen any auditions for the show, which will feature groups and choirs.

“It’s going to be new for everyone. I wouldn’t have wanted to see them. I like being just as surprised as the audience is. It really does mean you give a proper opinion on a live show. There is no delay or anything.”

Was she waiting for the right show to come along?

“My normal thing is: ‘I’d love to do that but it’s not going to happen to me.’ I’m a little bit optimistic and pessimistic just in case it doesn’t happen. I’m a little bit English like that! Also, I’ve never really had the time before. I’m always everywhere.”

Chicago-born Anastacia, 41, owes much of her success to her second place in an MTV talent show from which she

    secured a record deal.

Her debut album reached the top 10 in eight countries and is best known for the hit I’m Outta Love.

More recently, her successful battle with breast cancer saw her create The Anastacia Fund.

She admits that the timing of this show is “perfect” for her music career.

“I have a single coming out in Russia, along with a tour I’m doing with a Belgian singer. We expect to sell out about 10 shows. I do have a lot of fans in Europe and they follow me everywhere especially for the chance of seeing me in an arena. The Here Come The Girls tour will be back soon, too, as well as private shows.

“The good thing about Don’t Stop Believing is that it’s live, Sunday and Monday, and for the rest of the week, I can fly off around Europe to do music stuff and then come back. You don’t have to be there for other than the live shows. That’s the appeal for many people.”

We talk about her health. She has also suffered Crohn’s Disease, an inflammatory disease of the intestine, since the age of 12.

“I tick every box I’m afraid. Every article talks about my tits, my ass. How can I be shy with these things?

“I can be as hung-up as the next person but I’m definitely not scared of anything that’s coming my way.

“It can throw me for a loop, it can sideswipe me, it can be debilitating for a bit but it’s not something I think about.”

At this point, she breaks into song: “Guess the ailment! Guess the ailment! I got to have some kind of sense of

humour for the fact that something might happen to me.”

She’s comfortable with being a spokeswoman on these issues.

“I don’t mind if it’s in a positive light, if that’s how I’m remembered. I don’t want to be remembered for sorrow that I made happen but for making a difference and helping people.

“That’s why I write the songs I do. I’m trying to help myself as well as others.”

    Storyline

Dima is a famous singer who is tired of fame and doesn't have anyone waiting for him at home, he's alone. He's not only tired of fame but also of himself.

On his way home Dima gets ran over by a blonde girl who helps him home. As soon as the girl (who is a papparazzi) puts him in bed, she takes some dream photos that all papparazzi would have loved to take. But the girl realizes she's in love with him and deletes the photos.

Anastacia is the narrator of the story. You can also see the making of another scene in the video below, which isn't to my taste at all...

According to Katusha Anastacia is also a guardian angel who saves him from death and helps to find his love, how sweet.

Summary: Anastacia will be doing a short tour with Belgian artist Natalia Druyts and are expecting to sell out 8-10 shows at the Antwerp Sportpaleis. Natalia meets Anastacia tickets cost between 22.50 and 45 euro and can be bought from http://www.teleticketservice.com 070/345.345."

    Brief:

Belgian singer Natalia knits a continuation of her "Natalia meets'-concert series at the Sportpaleis. On January 14 & 15, 2011, she and the American singer Anastacia will perform on stage in Antwerp. Earlier the 29-year-old Natalia performed in the Sports Palace with the Pointer Sisters, En Vogue and Shaggy.

Natalia said at the press presentation on Tuesday that Anastacia is a personal idol. The 41-year old singer from Chicago was just discovered in a talent show like her. In 2000 she broke the world with the single "I'm Outta Love". The past ten years they sold in Europe alone more than 14 million albums.

"We promise there is already a rousing, stimulating and memorable event out of it with two very separate penalty madammen together and each will bring hits," said Jan Van Esbroeck of the Sportpaleis. "It is a very dynamic and very danceable show."

It is not the first time Natalia shared the stage at the Sportpaleis with other artists. The concert "Natalia Meets The Pointer Sisters" in 2006 consisted of ten sold out shows. In 2008 "Natalia Meets En Vogue feat. Shaggy" followed. Even those six performances were sold out.

Update: The single will be called "Burning Star" and is rumoured to be expecting a September release.

Here are photos from the shoot Anastacia did last month:
