Some of you are acting as though it's a side project which will do her harm, releasing an album without doing any appearances in the meantime won't benefit her as I'm sure it'll be another number of months before it finally comes. The series consists of 5 shows, weekly I assume, she managed to write songs while on a large scale tour so why worry about the occasional performance and a very short tv series to get her name out there again in prepration of the new album. Here Come The Girls might not even happen or be a month long tour only, and by the time that happens she would have been working on the album for like 6 months I guess! Because I'm sure she's already working on an album, she's definately been in the studio a few times so what else for?

True and if its not that its X Factor puppets being churned out every year with a group of think tank of song writerschurning out soul less pop for the masses . Anastacia is about the only singer that sings real Soul because she
sings about Life she sings from her Guts . Mercury made a huge mistake trying to force her down the American R&B
route because its soul less if anything . She does not need to be marketed for the Americans alot are catching on to
her music via the Web anyway . And music about Life stands the test of time better than following whats in at the moment.
As I have said before they should have just provided her with good musicians and a good co producer and let her write .
They should have given her more time Two Weeks was crazy ! Plus it was obvious she was not well when she came
because of her heart problem and new medication they should have given her more time.
I just hope after her latest heart ache with the divorce that she is up to releasing Album and that she is ok.
She had 2 MONTHS, not weeks. Which is still very little.
But yes, she WAS pushed in the direction. You simply cannot, in most cases, go against your label if they think a sound is going to make you even bigger. Would she risk being dropped after taking a year and wanting to get back into music asap? No, think about it. She always said she could write an RnB song but never write an album, and she had planned to make sprock back in 2007 but then David Massey moved and so came the label change. She does have a voice yes and I'm sure that if she refused it all she wouldn't be working right now. You don't really know what goes on behind doors which is why I believe it's totally unfair to judge her when in fact all she did was promote the work that other people mostly wrote and influenced.
They didn't even let her release the singles she wanted, you could tell she didn't enjoy performing the crappy Ne-Yo songs live.
Peace out.

Anastacia has said in a new interview that on the next album she's going back to her famous "sprock" style, claiming that it was her record label's decision for the direction she went in on Heavy Rotation.
She's also probably doing a second leg of the 'Here Come The Girls' tour in Europe soon. icon_smile.gif

Due to the supposedly rescheduled Belfast concert on Wednesday, 23rd December being CANCELLED, last night's show at Belfast's Waterfront Hall marked the official end to the tour. A huge round of applause to Anastacia, Lulu, Chaka Khan and everyone involved in the production of the tour, everybody who attended loved it! Thanks for giving us a chance to see our idols in concert and have a great time, it's really appreciated. Hopefully we'll see you soon Anastacia!
What did you all think of the show? :naughty:
