  1. The chorus vocal style reminds me of FKA Twigs
  2. Sorry just catching up. Don't Stop Movin is joyous. I prefer it to Dreamer too. Blurred is a very good dance track too, its like the mid 90s in a bottle mixing Britpop and dance. The Day We Caught The Train is great too, a bit of an epic.
  3. Little Swing was in an advert - Vodafone iirc, didn't do much for it chart-wise sadly. Llama In My Living Room was Dobbo's favourite!

Yay that reminds me of the Let Me Love You Zedd remix.
  5. I'm old enough to remember when the Mad'house cover was released....I knew and liked the song before it though.
  6. Catch is one of my Kosheen faves, maybe the chorus is a bit repetitive but still very good. Will I is good with the big room synth sound but definitely not the sort of thing I would have liked at the time, I really didn't like trance/hard dance back then.
  7. The Sophie track was overplayed at the time on music channels I remember. Hermes House Band's version of Country Roads I remember from the kids discos at the time (I was 9 in 2001). I particularly remember the gradual speed up bit near the end. Also remember Sum 41 and In Too Deep from the time. I wasn't a fan of pop punk at the time really but I prefer it now.

Yeah the original is good, with the beat it kind of fits into the current Move afro-house trend.
  9. Yay the PPK track is great, atmospheric, futuristic and rather unique and Gotta Get Thru This is also very good Daniel Bedingfield's best track. The Alcazar track is good fun too, I think I prefer it to the original Spacer which is also good.
  10.
  11. Why has this of all things got a new version? :drama:
  12. Another Felix sample - do people forget Sweat? I don't mind though.

One Night Only - Say You Don't Want It TC - D
  14. SPOILER For me though from December 2001 to spring 2002 is the time where some great dance songs made the UK charts and I am looking forward to them being revealed starting with two great ones in the next batch.
  15. Dannii's best song there, great trance atmosphere. That top 2 in the next batch :o , wonder will they be top 2 for you though!
  16. Voted for the Lana soundalike! :)
  17. Yeah afro-house seems to be a big trend in dance music at the moment. This song is nice enough.
  18. I just wanna go back, back to 1999 for some future nostalgia.
  19. The 2 Unlimited style start of the intro then it goes into SAW-style retro soul revival.
  20. I should have voted! Places, On My Mind and some of the other dance songs wouldn't have flopped so much :(

Bit of a spoiler because Julian T is about to review every top 40 hit in 2002 but good playlist. I echo the liking for early 2002 trance hits. Drifting Away, Beautiful, Take Me Away (Into The Night), Don't Wanna Lose My Way, On The Run and Close Cover couldn't be included
  22. I prefer Avicii's remix of Nadia Ali's solo version of Rapture, but the original iio track is good. Bohemian Like You is good; and probably not actually about what is now part of Czechia! Appropriate that dandy* likes the Dandy Warhols! Fallin' is good too.
  23. The cool people say Hold The Line is the best Toto song and Hazard is the best Richard Marx song.
