Ladytron - The Best of 00-10
Because Tiesto is very popular. No one will listen to a very good remix but done by an obscure remixer. By the way, I like the original "Ace of Hz" much more than any remix. Whoever said that clearly doesn't know (almost) anything about electronic music. They are "aggressively marketed as some kind of well-kept secret" because they are some kind of well-kept secret. Their previous record labels did a bad job promoting their music (how on Earth is possible that a super-catchy song like Destroy Everything You Touch to miss Top 40? Just 2 singles from Witching Hour, one of the best albums of the decade?). Ladytron are on the edge between mainstream and underground. They don't have radio hits but they're quite popular on the internet (e.g. see their last.fm page).

I listened only the singles: Get Some & I Follow Rivers. Excellent songs I must say (and top class production). I hope the album is as good as these 2 songs.

Ladytron - The Best of 00-10
The Best of 00-10 will be released on March 29th in the US through Nettwerk Records (March 28th in UK). The collection reflects on a decade highlighted by 604 (2001), Light & Magic (2002), Witching Hour (2005) and Velocifero (2008) plus two new tracks: "Ace of Hz" and "Little Black Angel." A two-disc deluxe version, featuring an additional 16 tracks & 80-page photo booklet, will also be available on March 29th. This compilation will be followed by their fifth studio album which will be released this summer. Expect "a more cinematic warmer sound to it" and "a lot of organs, auto harps, bells." Ladytron are an electronic music group formed in 1999 in Liverpool, UK, and consisting of Helen Marnie (vocals, synths), Mira Aroyo (vocals, synths), Reuben Wu (synths), and Daniel Hunt (synths, guitar). The Joy Formidable - The Big Roar // 24 Jan 2011
http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/3131/thejoyformidable.jpg Rhydian Dafydd, Ritzy Bryan, Matt Thomas The Joy Formidable is an indie rock trio from North Wales, UK formed in 2007. The band members are Ritzy Bryan (vocals, guitar), Rhydian Dafydd (bass, backing vocals), and Matt Thomas (drums). Their powerful sound reminds me of My Bloody Valentine, The Breeders, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (early years) and Arcade Fire (their rockier songs). It's an intense sound. They released a mini-album A Balloon Called Moaning in 2009 and their debut full-length album The Big Roar on 24 January 2011. The Big Roar received mostly positive reviews. If you want real rock, this album is highly recommended. The songs "Whirring", "Austere" and "The Greatest Light Is the Greatest Shade" are mind-blowing masterpieces and also their most accessible songs. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/2969/bigroar.jpg Tracklist: 1. Metric fans?
I'm also a fan of this band. My favorite Metric albums are Old World Underdround, Where Are You Now? & Fantasies. In fact, I like almost all their songs, even that Twilight theme "Eclipse (All Yours)". The side project Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton is also great. Metric are also a brilliant live band. Check for example this live version of "Gold Guns Girls" (Jimmy Kimmel Live 2010): PHP44cBi9Yw That's a fkg great guitar solo!
