The Chemical Brothers did the excellent soundtrack for Hanna film in 2011, but they still release studio albums (the last one was "Further" in 2010). Underworld also released the studio album "Barking" in 2010 and the soundtrack for Fankenstein play in 2011. On a side note, Underworld are set to take part in the opening ceremony of the London Olympic Games (they also will direct the music in the Olympic opening ceremony with Danny "Trainspotting" Boyle). I wonder why Daft Punk need so much time to make an album. The last album, "Human After All", was released in 2005 and it wasn't on par with the previous work.

What clip you meant? The very first one (46 seconds snippet) or the second one (Garbage returns)? If you ment the first one, indeed it's just an intro.

Vig said is more like their first two albums (debut & Version 2.0) than the last two (BG & BLM). The instrumental track from Garbage Returns! clip (posted above) sounds brilliant. It could be the instrumental of a new song, who knows...

Last year Garbage announced that they finished their 5th album, the new single will come in January or February 2012 and the album is currently scheduled for an independent release in late March or early April 2012. Soon Garbage will anounce all details (album title, cover and track listing). It's just a question of time when we'll hear new music from this great band.
