I'm surprised by some of the reactions. There is so much going for it — it's hook after hook, and beyond that it's probably the boldest thing she has released in over a decade. It's not safe, and my issue with Kylie for years has been how safe she's played it — to great success, nonetheless — but there hasn't been much to get truly excited about.

Honestly... deserved. I really got into my head this month.

This one really hurts. One of my favourite artists of all time and queer icon, Róisín Murphy, had some misinformation uncovered on Facebook about puberty blockers and her anger about potentially being labelled a TERF. Absolutely no word from her until this morning when she pinned a transphobic account to her Instagram about how the trans lobby is 'transing away our gay youth' — truly disappointing. I don't understand how this happens to someone so heavily involved in the queer community, who has borrowed from and had support for literal decades. Unbelievable. Graham Linehan and other right-wing transphobes who had no interest in her and didn't know she existed until this weekend have now come to her defence.
