JeffRayGun Weekly Charts (2017 Week 48)
So some of you might remember I used to have daily charts here. Well, this changed this year in August as I decided to switch from daily charts to weekly charts. Therefore, updating on time will be hopefully less of a pain. Now, on to the Top 20! This is the first time this has happened since August, when Taylor Swift replicated a similar feat with State of Grace and This Love locking the Top 2 spots respectively. -Taylor Swift holds at least one spot in the Top 10 for the 17th week in a row as Call it What You Want holds at #7 and State of Grace resurges into the Top 10 for its 13th week there. -Generic CAW's raocow music yields many hits in the Top 50, including a familiar face: Yellow Hurts makes its first entry in the Weekly Charts in 2017, but it has featured in the Daily Charts in December 2016. -Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' newest album yields two hits with Fort Knox at #6 and Holy Mountain at #41. -Stars by Alessia Cara re-enters at #3, marking its 5th week in the Top 50!

Thermo's hot hits • chart #352 • 26/05/17
Holy crap, 10 weeks #1's? My longest running song at #1 was 10 days, and even then that was non-consecutive... xD Craziness I tell ya! :P Symphony is a good song to see get this kind of treatment though, although it didn't do so hot on my own charts... :P I'm really happy to see Slide holding on strong! I think it's one of Calvin's best songs in his modern era :P Keep it up!

Jupiter 2017: Week #22
@Tombo: I don't see anything wrong with old songs charting :P Heck, my most recent debut on my charts is a song from like 1984 xD Your #1 song sounds nice! It feels like an Illenium song to me though, especially on the drop :P I feel like you might like his album Ashes if you like this song! The only songs I've heard on your list aside from that is The Cure, and (kinda) Despacito. And even then it's only a few times, so I don't have much of an opinion on them yet... :P Keep it up! :D

The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
REMINDER: I need an answer to the question of whether you all want more updates but with no chart/a simpler chart in the post itself, or fewer updates with a more complete chart. A simpler format would look like in this post, while the complete chart would look like the other posts do. May 30th 2017 Gurren Lagann returns to #1, Van Halen jumps into the charts G2AxpaH56WY Libera Me From Hell drills back to #1 after 4 days of Carly holding #1. This song is the first #1 for all three artists, but the 2nd overall hit for Taku Iwasaki who had a brief charting song with "Awake" in August 2015 off the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure soundtrack. This move forces Cut to the Feeling by Carly Rae Jepsen back to #2 after a record 4 days at #1. The song appears to be in danger of further falling, however, as Lorde's "A World Alone" continues to make headway 5-3, continuing its 2nd wind. Let Love In by The Goo Goo Dolls falls 2-4, as "What Am I Becoming?" by POP ETC makes its move into the Top 5 as it bumps 6-5. "Our Town" by James Taylor receives a huge boost back as it roars 19-6. "Blind" by Lifehouse holds #7, as "Young" by The Chainsmokers falls 4-8. Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Raekwon's "Gorgeous" rockets back into the Top 10 as it moves 20-9. Finally, Disclosure marks a new Top 10 hit as "Hourglass" makes a surprise jump 13-10. Predictions say the song won't have much longevity, sadly. Outside the Top 10, "Jump" by Van Halen debuts at #11, marking their first hit since "Runnin' With The Devil" back in October 2014. Also, Slow by Kylie Minogue drops 18-20, marking a struggle to make gains, and so does "Water Me" by FKA Twigs which seems stuck in the lower 6 ranks of the chart as it continues to hold #16 in its 6th day on the chart. --- 1) Taku Iwasaki ft. Tarantula & Yuri Kasahara - Libera Me From Hell 2) Carly Rae Jepsen - Cut to the Feeling 3) Lorde - A World Alone 4) The Goo Goo Dolls - Let Love In 5) POP ETC - What Am I Becoming? 6) James Taylor - Our Town 7) Lifehouse - Blind 8) The Chainsmokers - Young 9) Kanye West ft. Kid Cudi & Raekwon - Gorgeous 10) Disclosure ft. LION BABE - Hourglass 11) Van Halen - Jump 12) Anderson .Paak ft. ScHoolboy Q - Am I Wrong 13) Clean Bandit ft. Zara Larsson - Symphony 14) Kanye West ft. Bon Iver - Lost In The World 15) Ariana Grande - Touch It (Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Remix) 16) FKA Twigs - Water Me 17) Craig David & Sigala - Ain't Giving Up 18) The Basics - Tunaomba Saidia 19) The Basics - Hey Rain! 20) Kylie Minogue - Slow --- See you next time! -JeffRayGun

Joseph's Hit 40 | Week 284
I'm sad to see Sign of the Times and Malibu fall :( I haven't listened to I Have Questions, Swish Swish, Bad Liar and Crying in the Club even though I hear people talk about it a lot in my entourage :P As for 7 new entries to the top 10... My charts actually recently also had a record number of new entries, and that was on May 8th where NINE SONGS entered at #1 and #3 to 10 xD That was thanks to A Very Potter Musical and Sequel and its soundtrack. :P They didn't last too long though. Keep it up! :D

The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
@Jason: I mostly just love the Moana soundtrack. It's got a decent number of really beautiful and catchy songs! @PeteFromLeeds: It's normal you haven't commented there, given my sporadic updates :P I've grown to love the movie version more than Alessia's version actually! It's such a pretty song! To be fair I only stumbled upon Gryffin last month with Feel Good, thanks to his collaborating with Illenium with whom I was somewhat familiar at that point :P Echo was a really nice song! I was rooting for it to do well but it didn't quite last as much as I hoped it would. Should still make the month end top 25 hopefully! May 29th 2017 Carly Rae Jepsen extends her record #1 stay, Anderson .Paak enters Top 10 Qlsu7RhOnsQ Cut to the Feeling continues its reign at #1 for a 4th consecutive day, extending Carly's record for longest #1. Her previous #1's "Your Type" and "All That" were tied at 2 days #1 before this. This song also marks Carly's 11th song on the charts overall! The Goo Goo Dolls mark their second Top 2 hit as "Let Love In" continues its rise 3-2. Their previous hit was their classic song "Iris", which held 3 days at #1 in July-August 2015. "Libera Me From Hell" off the Gurren Lagann soundtrack rebounds 4-3. The Chainsmokers' "Young" also rises 5-4, while "A World Alone" moves back up 6-5. POP ETC's "What Am I Becoming?" moves up 8-6 off its debut yesterday. This is their follow up to their #4 peaking "Running In Circles", which was the 10th biggest song of June 2016. Lifehouse's "Blind" drops 2-7, while "Symphony" by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson falls 7-8. Anderson .Paak's "Am I Wrong" with ScHoolboy Q moves 12-9, marking both artists' first Top 10 hit and first song overall to chart. Rounding out the Top 10, Ariana Grande's "Touch It" remix from the Final Fantasy Brave Exvius soundtrack dips 9-10. Outside the Top 10, Disclosure's "Hourglass" with LION BABE makes a re-entry at #13, marking the song's highest peak to date. The song has had difficulty re-entering the charts despite support from the music rotation, so I unfortunately can't expect it will stick around for long. I am willing to be proven wrong though :P Before the chart, I have a question to the people who read these charts: Would you prefer more updates but without the detailed chart below (or a much simpler one), or fewer updates with the detailed chart? Please let me know your thoughts on the matter! I personally would rather have fewer details because it takes a long time to do the current chart, but if you like it then I'll keep it in :P Anyway, on to the chart! --- 01 (01) Carly Rae Jepsen - Cut to the Feeling (1 - 1 - 1 - 1) (4) 02 (03) The Goo Goo Dolls - Let Love In (11 - 3 - 2) (3) 03 (04) Taku Iwasaki ft. The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
May 16th 2017 Auli'i Cravalho shows How Far She'll Go at #1, Kanye makes huge gains cPAbx5kgCJo How Far I'll Go holds the #1 for a 3rd consecutive day. This is the 9th day that the #1 was held by a Moana-related song this year, with Alessia's version of How Far I'll Go hitting #1 much earlier this year, and Lin Manuel-Miranda and Opetaia Foa'i's "We Know The Way" in April taking 5 non-consecutive days at #1! Imperial Mammoth's "Little Earthquakes" rebounds 3-2. Kanye West moves 16-3 and 7-4 with Lost In The World featuring Bon Iver, and Gorgeous featuring Kid Cudi and Raekwon respectively. This marks the 4th time that Kanye has doubled down on the Top 5: The first time was with "All of the Lights" and "Black Skinhead" in September 2016, then with "Real Friends" and "Fade" in December 2016, then "Gold Digger" and "Diamonds of Sierra Leone Remix" in January 2017. Truly, 2017 is the year of Kanye! In Reverse by The War On Drugs reverses course as it falls off its new peak 2-5, while Ben Lemoing does similarly as Aurora quiets down 4-6. SHIROCK's Silver slightly rebounds 8-7, as does "Scared to be Lonely" by Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa 9-8. "Going Nowhere" by Cut Copy surges 18-9 into the Top 10, giving them their first Top 10 entry! Rounding out the Top 10 is "Whole Heart" by Gryffin and Bipolar Sunshine falling 6-10. Below the Top 10, Disclosure make their comeback with Hourglass featuring LION BABE at #15. This marks the duo's first hit in under 2 years, their last one being "Magnets" with Lorde in October 2015. Also, "That's All I Need" makes a bit of a return as it bounces back 17-16. Stay tuned for tomorrow's chart, where The Basics are set to make a splash thanks to their album "The Age of Entitlement" with 3 new entries!! --- 01 (01) Auli'i Cravalho - How Far I'll Go (1 - 1 - 1) (3) 02 (03) Imperial Mammoth - Little Earthquakes (1 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 2) (6) 03 (16) Kanye West ft. HarryEzra's Personal Chart 13/05/2017
I only listened to Hard Times once, but I really dig the song! Humble. didn't do so well on my charts, it stuck around for a while in April but didn't really peak high... Green Light was HUGE in March for me, it's currently in my Top 5 of 2017 so far! Sign of the Times had a decent run in April but it sadly didn't last very long :( I still predict it'll make the year end top 100, hopefully :P It's a great song! Keep it up! :)

Jason's Top 20 - 13/05/2017
I've heard Despacito a few times now, I think it's gonna be pretty big over here :P Hooray for Sign of the Times being #1 for 3 weeks! I've yet to hear Slow Hands though. Malibu and The Cure have been waiting to get onto my music rotation for a bit now, hopefully they'll have a chance to shine soon! Keep it up! :)

The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
@Jason: I have not heard that remix yet. And yes, the SeeB remix made that song much more enjoyable for me. :P @PeteFromLeeds: Unfortunately Galway Girl didn't do too hotly on my charts. Which is a bit of a shame, it was a decent song. Sorry for another hiatus... Making these charts is not easy :P May 15th 2017 How Far I'll Go holds #1, In Reverse hits new peak in its 18th day cPAbx5kgCJo How Far I'll Go by Auli'i Cravalho holds #1 for a 2nd day, while In Reverse by The War on Drugs holds a new record for longest time to reach its peak as it vaults 17-2 in its 18th day on the chart. The previous record holder was "Chanson Noire" by Harmonium, which hit #4, its peak, in the 17th day of its run. Former #1 "Little Earthquakes" by Imperial Mammoth dips 2-3, while Ben Lemoing reaches a new peak as Aurora screams 7-4. His previous peak was with Energy which hit #5 back in April 2017. Saint Motel's "Happy Accidents" moves 11-5 off its debut yesterday and marks the 2nd Top 5 hit for the band. "Whole Heart" by Gryffin and Bipolar Sunshine falls 3-6 off its peak, while Kanye West marks yet another Top 10 as "Gorgeous" with Kid Cudi and Raekwon jumps 13-7. SHIROCK's 5th consecutive #1 hit "Silver" dips 4-8. The song still marks a highlight for the band, since they are the only band to score 5 consecutive #1 hits with every single song they have charted to date (Everything Burns, Say It Out, Calm Inside The Storm, Still Young, and Silver). The runner up is Theft, who have hit #1 with all 4 of their songs (Fireworks Explode, Weight of the World, Your Cue, Come Down). Rounding out the Top 10, Scared to Be Lonely by Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa falls 5-9 after scoring 5 non consecutive days at #1, while KAMAU hits the Top 10 with Gaims as it moves 12-10. Below the Top 10, Saturnz Barz by Gorillaz featuring Popcaan rebounds 16-15, and Kanye West's Lost In The World with Bon Iver moves 18-16 off its debut. This marks Bon Iver's 2nd appearance on the chart, after 8 (circle) hit #1 in early February this year. Cut Copy makes their first debuit with "Going Nowhere" entering at #18. 01 (01) Auli'i Cravalho - How Far I'll Go (1 - 1) (2) 02 (17) The War on Drugs - In Reverse (16 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 6 - 11 - 10 - 12 - 13 - 4 - 14 - 5 - 6 - 9 - 12 - 17 - 2) (18) 03 (02) Imperial Mammoth - Little Earthquakes (1 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 3) (5) 04 (07) Ben Lemoing - Aurora (7 - 7 - 4) (3) 05 (11) Saint Motel - Happy Accidents (11 - 5) (2) 06 (03) Gryffin ft. The JeffCharts Top Songs Of 2016 Countdown!
@PeteFromLeeds: Yes, this song is really pretty :D Okay so I guess I'll just go right to revealing the entire rest of the Top 10, since I took too long to get to it :P 9) David Bowie - Subterraneans qh-jDMuzuIE 407 pts / Peak: 1 (8 days) / 33 days on chart / 22 days in Top 10 An amazing song. It was quite a surprise to find this (and Warszawa) in Low. They were very big tonal shifts for the album, but both were more than welcomed by me. This song in particular is haunting and really depressing. It was meant as a tribute to the people who were living in East Germany during the Cold War. Quite sad. :( 8) David Bowie - Blackstar kszLwBaC4Sw 434 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 34 days on chart / 26 days in Top 10 As far as the songs from David Bowie's last album are concerned, this is my favourite. Though the first half is pretty neat, it's the 2nd, much slower and much more reserved, that really grabbed me. (I'm a blackstar, I'm a blackstar...) 7) Glass Tiger - My Town Tu8JFZw3L6A 476 pts / Peak: 1 (6 days) / 31 days on chart / 26 days in Top 10 This is easily a front runner for my favourite song of the year. It pulls off nostalgia so amazingly that I can't help but get caught up in the moment every time it comes up... Such a beautiful song! 6) SHIROCK - Calm Inside The Storm RlB0iA6yw9g 489 pts / Peak: 1 (1 day) / 49 days on chart / 22 days in Top 10 This was one hell of a sleeper hit song, but one that I've grown to like. It's a cute song, but it stands among giants in this Top 10, and so it'll feel a bit out of place. :P 5) Christine and the Queens - Safe and Holy CO10Uhl5ddw 498 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 37 days on chart / 26 days in Top 10 Ironic that my favourite artist would have what is easily my least favourite song in this whole Top 10. It's not bad, but far from Christine's best. And like Calm Inside The Storm, it's in a sea of amazing songs, so it stands out quite badly. 4) Shura - 2Shy 8gtREooYQ9w 553 pts / Peak: 1 (5 days) / 48 days on chart / 26 days in Top 10 Another contender for the best song of the year. The instrumental on this song is TOP NOTCH. It rolls gently like the waves of the ocean, and it's quite calming too. The lyrics of being too shy to say you like someone definitely connected with me too. 3) The Hooters - And We Danced zB1Q-PfUvN0 580 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 51 days on chart / 28 days in Top 10 This is an AMAZING dance track. I fell in love the first time I heard it, and even now it still holds up as one of my favourites. Amazing song! 2) SHIROCK - Everything Burns (No good youtube vid was found for this song, so only Spotify Link :( ) 734 pts / Peak: 1 (7 days) / 68 days on chart / 31 days in Top 10 Another best song contender. This song is in my opinion the KING of angst songs. It starts up with a build-up until the halfway mark, where it then drops a heart-wrenching guitar solo which culminates into my favourite musical moment of the year. This is an amazing song, check it out! And also check out the album by the same title, it's easily one of my favourites I've heard! 1) Lifehouse - Everything fjDojEOiMcE 1305 pts / Peak: 1 (10 days) / 96 days on chart / 71 days in Top 10 And here it is, the juggernaut of the year. It broke just about every singe record one could think of. Longest #1 run, longest stay in the charts... probably the largest number of re-entries. It even recharted last month (April 2017) and broke the 100 day barrier in that time. This tune is simply perfect, it encapsulates the feeling of being in love perfectly, and the lyrics clicked with me perfectly. Every part of this song is amazing, from the quiet buildup, the thunderous bridge, to the fall-out in the final chorus. I love this song so much. It's a shame Lifehouse haven't ever really made a song quite like this ever since... :/ =========== AND WE'RE DONE! Thank you to everyone for your patience with this, and I will see you for the 2017 countdown in about a year! I'll probably stick only to the Top 100 this time :P See you around! -JeffRayGun

The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
March 16th 2017 "Ghost" by VHS Collections nabs the first newcomer #1 in a while! -iLHH9pBgBU VHS Collection are the first new leading act to nab a #1 this month! Also, Grimes, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran and The Knocks enter the Top 10 in a hectic week. Read below for a breakdown: "Ghost" by VHS Collection moves 2-1 to nab the first #1 from a leading new act in a while! The last new main act to get a #1 was Deep Blue Something with "Breakfast at Tiffany's", back in February 25th for 2 days. This means it has been 17 days since the last newcomer #1: Zaz's "La complainte de la butte" was a recurring #1, and had charted "Sous le ciel de Paris" in January; "Something Just Like This" was from the Chainsmokers, who have had a decent run of hits in 2016 and 2017; Lorde charted two non-#1s with "Royals" and "Team", and featured in the #3-peaking Magnets with Disclosure; Calvin Harris also appeared in "Acceptable In The 80's"; Lowercase Noise have had one hit each year: "A Highway Shall Be There" in 2014, "I Want To Live Again" in 2015 and "What Could There Be Out There To Hurt Me?" in 2016. This means that VHS Collection is the first new act to nab a #1 in a while! Grimes and Aristophanes' "Scream" vaults 20-2 off its debut yesterday. This is Grimes' 3rd hit on the JeffCharts, and the first since her two back-to-back #1s in 2014 with Oblivion and Genesis. This also marks Aristophanes' first appearance on the charts, and the very first Taiwanese language song on the charts! (Correct me if that's the wrong language, I'm not 100% sure myself). The SeeB remix of Shawn Mendes' "Stitches" roars into the charts at #3. The original song had a brief run in the lower parts of the charts back in late September 2016, but the SeeB remix has brought this song back into the charts in full force. In fact, since the compilation of this chart, the song has vaulted in "mindplay" and seems all but certain to take the #1 spot in today's chart. To the dismay of some people I know, Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl" jumps 14-4, marking Ed's 2nd Top 5 hit. Working and Paying and Living and Dying by Lowercase Noises dips 1-5 due to the strong showing of the new Top 4, after a strong 4 days at #1. "Chariots" by Paper Routes rebounds 12-6, while mkatwood's "You RePEARLsted In The Wrong Neighborhood, a Steven Universe-themed sh*tpost song, falls 5-7 off its debut yesterday. Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco's "Touch The Sky" falls 3-8 after hitting a new peak yesterday. The Big Sleep by Michael Whalen continues its fall as it drops 4-9. Carly Rae Jepsen and The Knocks' "Love Me Like That" rise 18-10 after struggling to rise out of the lower echelons of the charts for two days. This marks The Knocks' first appearance in the Top 10, but their 2nd hit: their previous one was "I Wish (My Taylor Swift)" with Matthew Koma, which peaked at #11. This also marks Carly Rae Jepsen's 7th Top 10 hit, and her first since December 2016 gave us the smash that was "All That". Below the Top 10, the only non-falling song is Light It Up by OneRepublic, which debuts at #17. Today's dropouts are "We Fly High" by Jim Jones, which saw its run cut short by the onslaught of new songs, and "You Are Dead" by Kent Carmical, Joe Sparks and Maura Sparks. This song seems to finally be dead, dead, dead. Its run should give it a decent showing in the Month-End rankings' Top 10 for the month, however! --- 01 (02) VHS Collection - Ghost (2 - 1) (2) 02 (20) Grimes ft. Aristophanes - Scream (20 - 2) (2) 03 (NEW) Shawn Mendes - Stitches (SeeB Remix) (3) (1) 04 (14) Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl (14 - 4) (2) 05 (01) Lowercase Noises - Working And Paying And Living And Dying (1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 5) (5) 06 (12) Paper Route - Chariots (18 - 13 - 8 - 4 - 4 - 12 - 6) (7) 07 (05) mkatwood - You RePEARLsted In The Wrong Neighborhood (5 - 7) (2) 08 (08) Kanye West ft. The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
@Jason: yeah, it's kinda sad that Lorde fell. Green Light isn't doing so hot right now, though I blame that on the charts suddenly picking up in activity with tons of new entries. I'll get more into that in the next update :P I actually liked the hip hop style of Slide myself. I actually want to see Calvin Harris do some hip hop production for other artists now :P "I don't know lots of songs" describes my thoughts about pretty much everyone's charts on this site really xD So not too surprising that others here would be lost in mine :P Thanks for your comment! I'll try to make an update once today's chart is compiled!

The JeffCharts Top Songs Of 2016 Countdown!
Alright, here we go! #10!! 10) deadmau5 ft. Chris James - The Veldt _esYONwdKuw 389 pts / Peak: 3 / 45 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 And here lies the most successful of the December 2015 crop! This song started off in January 2016 past its peak in December, falling off fairly quickly. But in May 2016, it recharted, and gave one of the best chart runs for a non #1 song! And frankly, this is a good one. It's not my favourite of the Top 10, but the song is so magical. I just can't help but feel optimistic about the beauty of the world, every time I hear it. And to think this is a song about a book where kids kill their dad with holograms of lions. :P --- @PeteFromLeeds: It is true that I loved My Town. But will that be enough? You'll just have to wait and see! :P

Jason's Top 20 - 11/03/2017
Slide and Something Just Like This falling makes me sad. :P I'm happy to see Green Light rising, hoping it gets #1! :o Stay was an alright song but it wasn't quite that impressive for me. Keep up the charting!

The JeffCharts Daily Top 20!
@PeteFromLeeds: Green Light is a wonderful song. It actually slew harder than I expected, but more on that in a bit :P Somewhere Just Like This is also nice, but unfortunately it didn't do as well as I expected it to... March 10th 2017 Slide slides to #1, cutting Green Light's streak short WFQqAZBOwfQ (Only a 1:30 preview, sorry!) Calvin Harris hits #1 for the 2nd time with "Slide" as Frank Ocean and Migos mark their first; Lorde is cut short of a record-tying run with "Green Light". Read further below. Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean and Migos' "Slide" slides into the top position on today's chart. This marks Calvin's first #1 hit, "Acceptable In The 80's" having been his first back in July 2016. The features, on the other hand, are newcomers to the #1. Frank Ocean had a minor hit with "Self Control" off his long-awaited new album "Blonde", but it peaked at #4 and didn't stick around much longer after. Migos, meanwhile, are newcomers to the JeffCharts overall. Lorde's "Green Light" recedes 1-2 after an astounding consecutive 7 day run at the top of the charts! How is this special? This is a feat that hasn't been replicated since July 2016, when David Bowie's "Subterraneans" held the top for 8 consecutive days. 8 days, also, is the current record for the longest consecutive #1 run atop the charts. This record is currently tied between "Ludwig Gorranson" with "If I Die Before You" (Jan 29th - Feb 5th 2015) and the aforementioned "Subterraneans" (June 30th - July 7th). Furthermore, Lorde also joins an elite of songs with her 7-day #1 run: only 10 songs have managed this feat in the 3+ years of the JeffCharts. Here is a list of these songs: Murray Gold - The Long Song (7)Ludwig Gorranson - If I Die Before You (8)Matchbox Twenty - Unwell (8)Globus - One Truth (7)Murray Gold - Song of Freedom (8)REO Speedwagon - Can't Fight This Feeling (7)SHIROCK - Everything Burns (7)Lifehouse - Everything (10)David Bowie - Subterraneans (8)Lorde - Green Light (7)EDIT: "Green Light" also holds the current record for longest #1 run of 2017 so far. The runner-up is Zaz's "La complainte de la butte", which nabbed 6 non-consecutive #1 days throughout February. Michael Whalen's "The Big Sleep" falls 2-3 off its peak. This is Michael Whalen's 4th hit, and 3rd Top 2 hit. His last venture was with "Swimming In A Lovely Sea Of You" (#1 peak) and "I Have Loved You For A Thousand Lifetimes" (#2 peak) back in December 2016. Saint Mesa's "Imagination" floats up 7-4, entering the Top 5 and marking the band's first entry in that range. "Forever In My Dreams" rebounds 10-5, bouncing back into the Top 5 after failing to pierce beyond its #4 peak. "We Fly High" by Jim Jones flies 18-6 off its debut, and predictions point that it might continue to rise higher in the coming days. Coldplay's "Adventure of a Lifetime" peters out early as it falls 6-7, continuing its fall from its #3 debut. Speaking of Coldplay, their collaboration with The Chainsmokers, "Something Just Like This", continues to free fall 4-8 after failing to regain the top spot from "Green Light" for 3 days (from March 4th to March 7th). Twenty One Pilots' "Migraine" drops 5-9, while "You Are Dead" rebounds 11-10 into the Top 10. Outside the Top 10, "The Ballad of Star Butterfly" rebounds 12-11, while The National debut "Sorrow" at #17 and Paper Route debut "Chariots" at #18. "All The Way Up" by Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana and InfaRed and "Chained to the Rhythm" by Katy Perry featuring Skip Marley are the casualties of today's chart, two songs that had a decent and a great run respectively. I expect "Chained to the Rhythm" to have a strong showing at the end of the year! ;P --- 01 (03) Calvin Harris ft. The JeffCharts Top Songs Of 2016 Countdown!
@PeteFromLeeds: Reapers is indeed a good song. I personally think The Globalist and Dead Inside are better, but Reapers is undeniable :P And glad you agree on the Sound of Silence cover! Change of plans, I'm going to do 25-11 now, and write down the Top 10 songs individually. I'll write down all the songs that made it, and leave you all to speculate. (Yes, I took a page from Pete's countdown, I'm such a meanie :P ) 25) 333 pts / Peak: 1 (1 day) / 29 days on chart / 16 days in Top 10 This is a nice gloomy song about feeling numb. The saxophone is a nice touch too :D 24) 337 pts / Peak: 3 / 31 days on chart / 19 days in Top 10 This being here is a bit of a surprise. This song slipped under the radar when it came around, but I guess it took its sweet time to leave and that's why it's here :P Still, this song is very good, what with the vocal drops and Zyra's vocals are really good. The production here is sublime, and they mold around the vocals quite wonderfully. While it doesn't stand out from the crowd as well as Roses did, it's still a great sleeper hit! 23) 343 pts / Peak: 1 (7 days) / 26 days on chart / 17 days in Top 10 I'm a sucker for 80's cheese. And in March 2016, I was feeling particularly lovestruck, so this song just made sense. And even listening to it now, it brings back this sweet feeling of longing, back when it didn't feel like it came with the looming shadow of rejection. :P The synthesizer here is simply wonderful, and I wish more songs had this glimmering beauty to them. The best I've found so far is Carly Rae's "All That", but it doesn't quite hit the points this does... I dunno. :P Great song! 22) 343 pts / Peak: 1 (1 day) / 26 days on chart / 20 days in Top 10 This song introduced me to Jon Bellion, and this one just kind of latched on and didn't let go for almost a whole month! The standouts are the uneven percussion and the strange sense of nostalgia that the lyrics invoke. Of course, once again, having not ever really "done anything", it's hard for this song to "take me back to ninth grade", and not just because our school system doesn't have a "ninth grade". :P Anecdotes aside, this is a good song. I'd say it's surprising to see it this high, but it deserves its spot a little bit. :) 21) Karen Aoki & Daisuke Hasewaga 348 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 23 days on chart / 20 days in Top 10 ANIME TIME! :I This song was the last huge smash of the year, nabbing for itself the top of the December 2016 list through sheer persistence and awesomeness. I have been watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure since 2015, and while a few OP's had made their way into the charts, none really ever made it to the top. And in fact, when the first few OP's of the newest season, "Diamond is Unbreakable", failed to chart, I was worried that Jojo would not really get much representation. But when I rewatched the show and got caught up, I encountered this theme and it was GLORIOUS. It's honestly probably my favourite of all the opening themes of the show, even with the memorable "Sono Chino Sadame" and the awesome "Stand Proud". It's got such a joyful vibe that it becomes infectious. Great tune, and do check out Jojo's Bizarre Adventure if you're into that sort of thing. But beware, it's "Bizarre" for a reason :P 20) Tracy Chapman - Fast Car 348 pts / Peak: 1 (1 day) / 34 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 "To Build a Home" might be the saddest song of the year, but this one might be the saddest story told in a song of the whole year. The tale of a girl who seeks a better life elsewhere with her lover, only to be left by him after they get settled in their new life, echoing how her mother had left her father way back when... it's such a sad tale! And while the Jonas Blue version is catchy, it doesn't really capture the tragedy of the original. This is a classic, and to believe that before July this song had been a flop, is simply heartbreaking. This is an amazing song, and I'm so glad that I gave it a second chance and gave it the room to truly shine. This is a beautiful track. Give it a listen, please. 19) 354 pts / Peak: 2 / 31 days on chart / 19 days in Top 10 This song rules. As far as upbeat dance songs go, this is probably one of the most memorable ones, by a long shot. That chorus is a powerhouse, and Janelle really delivers on it. Also, seriously, why is it that Nile Rodgers pretty much contributes the same riff to all the songs he features in? And why, oh WHY? is it that every song he's in kicks metric amounts of butt?? :P 18) 357 pts / Peak: 2 / 25 days on chart / 22 days in Top 10 No, I don't know why this is here. This song was an oddity in of itself. Hip hop this grimmy doesn't really make sense in my charts, especially not when most of the songs here have been pop, rock, indie, electronic, and so on... But in June 2016, this song held onto the Top 10 for a strong 22 days, or THREE WEEKS, and became the 2nd biggest song of the month, 2nd only because of another song that was simply a juggernaut this year (more on that in the Top 10). This song has a strangely addictive vibe, and Chris Brown's chorus is oddly catchy. I'd sing along if the lyrics weren't so dirty. xD Still, considering my charts have since become more open to hip hop, given DRAM, Kanye West and clipping's success on my charts in 2017 so far, I guess this song was strangely enough a groundbreaker? Weird that DJ Khaled was the one to do this. :P 17) 360 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 27 days on chart / 20 days in Top 10 I can't say I'm sure how this song got this high. Like many others, this was just a song that happened to rack up a lot of points without me noticing. But I can see why it did; this song is a fairly nice grandiose-sounding love ballad, and the lyrics are comforting. If only I had someone to sing them to me... xD 16) 361 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 34 days on chart / 17 days in Top 10 This song is just kind of depressing. (Sick of me saying that? Well more's coming so strap in :P ) But this one is a fairly numb kind of depression. The kind you feel when everything just feels pointless. Where nothing really motivates you anymore. That's what this song felt like, and it set the stage quite well for the cold and rainy November month that it headlined. While November mostly wound up being more upbeat than expected, this song still set the stage for a fairly dark and grim month, especially after the harshness that came at the end of the previous month. This song just kind of accompanied me throughout the month and then some. And it's actually a great song: the production is unsettling and gloomy, and The Weeknd's falsetto really sells the inner turmoil he's feeling. Great tune! From what I've seen so far, I think Kiss Land has promise to be a great album, and have even more hits than Beauty Behind The Madness or even Starboy could manage. xD 15) 365 pts / Peak: 1 (1 day) / 31 days on chart / 19 days in Top 10 This song was a powerhouse in August 2016. Had it not been for another juggernaut, it would've been the king. This little baby made it through the whole month, providing this wonderful retro indie sound that just makes you want to dance. This is a wonderful song! 14) 370 pts / Peak: 2 / 27 days on chart / 22 days in Top 10 This song is an amazing ball of indiepop greatness. It's so full of energy that you can't help but dance along! The one thing that makes this one awkward is, I first found this clip through a meme where this song played to footage of Trump dancing... And it seems the band got into hot water after they had the clip taken down and said they don't support him. Because people can't just enjoy a nice song without being idiots... *sigh* Still, this song is good, and I'm hoping to see more from the Brave Shores in the future on my charts :P 13) 371 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 33 days on chart / 17 days in Top 10 This was the theme song to many a late night subway ride home in the fall of 2016. It's got a fairly laidback feel, but it also has a bit of an unsettled vibe, mainly because of the lyrics where the narrator is stuck "in between" tonight and tomorrow. Stuck in something he isn't sure about. It's a song about not feeling sure about where things are going to go. And as a professional day dreamer and worrywart, this song makes sense for me. :P 12) 372 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 34 days on chart / 18 days in Top 10 This is another nice upbeat song about being in love. The piano riff is what sells this one to me, and made this song stick to my mind. Though as always, the catchy chorus helps :P Great tune! 11) 385 pts / Peak: 1 (5 days) / 33 days on chart / 19 days in Top 10 This song was my introduction to Madeon (or maybe Pop Culture was, but this was his first song to chart). And it was a pretty nice one. I remembered Dan Smith from his minor hits he had over the years with Bastille in my charts (Icarus, Pompeii, Of The Night being the ones). So seeing this song with him in it was a nice sight, especially since it had been a long time since I had seen new content from them. Speaking of that, I still haven't really given Bastille's new album a shot. Maybe I should :P --- AND THAT IS IT FOLKS! Next time, the Top 10! I'll try updating daily with one song until we hit the Number One Song of 2016!! As promised earlier, here's the list of the songs in the Top 10, ordered alphabetically: Christine and the Queens - Safe and Holy David Bowie - Blackstar David Bowie - Subterraneans deadmau5 ft. Chris James - The Veldt Glass Tiger - My Town The Hooters - And We Danced Lifehouse - Everything SHIROCK - Calm Inside The Storm SHIROCK - Everything Burns Shura - 2Shy Who will be #1? Pete's EOY Top 100 2016
The only song here I know and really like is Lush Life. I'm gonna hope for that to be #1. Can't really make any strong predictions just looking at the charts like this though. I'll have to seek out your chart history to do so :P

The JeffCharts Top Songs Of 2016 Countdown!
@PeteFromLeeds: Yes, This Girl is a nice song. I'm actually sad it didn't get a chance to do better than it did, given that it's a very nice song! Sorry for the VERY VERY late update... 50-26, GO! 50) 273 pts / Peak: 2 / 20 days on chart / 14 days in Top 10 Muse have been a consistent presence in my charts for the 3+ years I've been making charts. They, along with another act, have been the only ones to have at least one hit each year! And this is their highest bid this year, and it KICKS ASS. That guitar commands your attention, and Matthew Bellamy's vocals are on point. Great song! :D 49) 276 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 25 days on chart / 12 days in Top 10 This song is actually fairly iconic. The dark gloomy instrumentation of the song perfectly fits the dank atmosphere of the subway station I pass through every day to go to school. That's part of why this one stuck around as much as it did, though the lyrics about nostalgia are fairly relatable. 48) twenty one pilots - Stressed Out 280 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 18 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 This song just has something depressing about it... it's got that laidback atmosphere, but the lyrics are about crumbling under the "Weight of the World"... it's kinda sad. And given that April 2016 had more than its share of sad songs, this one fit right in. 47) 280 pts / Peak: 2 / 21 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 This song has an interesting history with me. This song was composed as part of the Soundtrack for The Mole, an old game show in the 2000's where people would have to take on challenges to raise money for a "money pot" while trying to find out a hidden saboteur whose goal was to hinder the others. It was a really interesting show which unfortunately did not do well. I watched old footage of the show on YouTube back in the day, and fell in love with it. I especially adored the soundtrack, and so I ended up downloading it to my MP3 player. Now, years later, I found out the soundtrack was actually on Spotify. And as such, I decided to add this song to my rotation, and it basically became March 2016's huge sleeper hit, nabbing #2 on the Month end tally! This is a song in two parts: the first has a creepy unsettling atmosphere, and the 2nd is an upbeat action theme that wouldn't be out of place in an action thriller. This is what I love most about this soundtrack: in spite of the fact it was made for a game show, the music goes all out to create a wonderful atmosphere, adding some serious depth to the events. Whether it's whimsical background music as the contestants go through Italy, or suspenseful music as each contestant's name is called out to see whether they'll be kicked off the show, this soundtrack does it all. It's amazing. Give it a listen, and try to find clips of The Mole online if the concept interests you. You won't be disappointed :) 46) 282 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 28 days on chart / 11 days in Top 10 This song is HANDS DOWN the best song The Chainsmokers have ever released (though Something Just Like This does give it a run for its money). The vocals are wonderful, the production is simply perfect... Taggard doesn't sing! XD But yeah, this is a wonderful song, and a strong contender for my favourite hit song of 2016. 45) 284 pts / Peak: 2 / 27 days on chart / 16 days in Top 10 Frankly, this song just kind of slipped under the radar for me. It came up smack dab between May and June 2016, so it didn't even hit the Top 10 for any month. In fact, in May and June's month end rankings, the song hit #20 and #19 respectively. Of course, adding the points up, it makes the Top 50. Well, to be fair, the song itself is really awesome. It's got a real driving drum, and Patrick Stump's voice really sells the bombast of the song. I guess the thing is, I just prefer "This Ain't A Scene..." It's a much more memorable song than this is :P 44) 285 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 28 days on chart / 11 days in Top 10 Over the course of the year, I've seen so many people say this cover wasn't very good. I disagree strongly. Yes, it's different. Yes, it goes way over the top. But in fact, that makes it just that much more awesome. A good cover should strive to find its own identity, and with the orchestral bombast of this song, it has essentially remade the song into something unique. And David Draiman's performance here is a career best in my opinion. His lower register is shiver-inducing, and I love how he keeps his voice controlled in the first verses until going all out at the end of the penultimate verse. This song redefines the original song's quiet discontent and turns it into a powerful cry against the wrongs of our world. And given the state of the world... I think we need more songs that do this. My only complaint is that the last verse kind of plateaus the crescendo the song had going up until that point, which I find a bit unsatisfying. But it's a small mark against an otherwise amazing song. Definitely a favourite of mine. 43) 285 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 28 days on chart / 12 days in Top 10 This song is cute and maddeningly catchy. Todd in the Shadows was right, after the first time I heard this song in his One Hit Wonderland episode about it, this song didn't leave my mind. That chorus, and that bridge are catchiness juggernauts. And you wouldn't think it though, given how small this song is. But they're sung in such a strange pattern that it just sticks! 42) 287 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 23 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 This song is the indie fluke hit of January 2016. In fact, it somehow beat out Roses in the Month-End rankings, while I was certain Roses had the #1 in the bag. And it wasn't even the #1 of January! That song's coming up, but let's focus on this one. This song is a standard catchy indie tune. Aside from a catchy chorus, this song actually doesn't really do much that other songs of its vein don't do... Don't get me wrong, I still like listening to it, and it's the best song on an otherwise very uninteresting album, but yeah... this didn't deserve to beat Roses. :P 41) 289 pts / Peak: 2 / 22 days on chart / 16 days in Top 10 Ironic that this song has done better than any Beatles song this year :P But yeah, this is an unexpectedly nice-sounding Rae Sremmurd song. And I think the main reason is the production, courtesy of Mike Will Made It. The lyrics and the vocals are alright, but that chorus and the production are what really make this song. 40) 291 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 26 days on chart / 13 days in Top 10 This song's main appeal is that it reminds me of the soundtrack of Meteos Wars, an old XBox Live game from over 8 years ago. Frankly, I don't know how this managed to ride out into the Top 40 only on nostalgia appeal, but it did. *shrug* 39) 294 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 25 days on chart / 13 days in Top 10 This song is easily one of my favourite EDM hits that graced my charts in 2016. It's got energy, both in the production and the vocals. Tritonal and Jaden Michaels are both forces to be reckoned with. They made a EDM song with an intensity that The Chainsmokers WISH they had. Between this and "Until You Were Gone", I definitely need to check out more from Tritonal! 38) 296 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 24 days on chart / 16 days in Top 10 This is probably my favourite twenty one pilots song. And thankfully, it was their highest charting hit! This song has this positive intensity that I definitely welcome! Tyler Joseph just believes with all his heart that this girl is the one he loves. It's quite a nice song, especially on an album with otherwise fairly gritty songs. 37) 298 pts / Peak: 3 / 28 days on chart / 14 days in Top 10 This is the song that nabbed the #1 for January 2016 instead of Roses. A song that DIDN'T EVEN HIT #1!! It was quite shocking to see, but looking at the stats now, it's not quite so surprising, especially since Roses didn't last quite as long in the top 10. And not to mention, this song is very good. For a song that came out in the synth-heavy 1983, this has a lot of uniqueness and colorful flavor. The only other song quite like this one is "Down Under" by Men at Work, which remains suspiciously missing from any of my charts in spite of being a song I like very fondly... This song was a classic from way back before my charts were even a thing. I remember liking this song as far back as like 2011-2012. It was also one of the first songs to be put in my "Playlist of Music" that I started in 2013. It finally made it onto my charts after ages of not having made an official JeffCharts appearance, and I have to say I'm happy it managed to do as well as it did. Proves there's hope for old faves! :D And now, onto the Ke$ha hour, with... 36) 300 pts / Peak: 1 (5 days) / 24 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 So Ke$ha was a big deal in the first half of the year or so. She made her first arrival in late February with "Last Goodbye", and after this managed to get an almost perfect record of 4/5 songs going #1 in that time. This was her longest #1 run at 5 days, and it is easily my FAVOURITE song of hers, hands down. The instrumentation is simply fairy-tale-like, and the vocals evoking a romance over many lives is simply awe-inspiring. This song proved to me above all that she had so much talent, and that she deserved so much better... :( 35) 303 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 25 days on chart / 17 days in Top 10 This is probably my 2nd favourite of the Ke$ha songs here. The lyrics are relatable in spite of never having experienced young love to begin with, and the production is pretty good. My only complaint is that Ke$ha's vocals are a bit too monotone in the chorus. But that aside, this is a pretty song. Give it a check if you haven't already! 34) 305 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 19 days on chart / 16 days in Top 10 This song was the one that started it all. While I had softened on Ke$ha after Die Young had a not-so-bad run in September 2015, this song really convinced me that there was more to her than loud party songs. This song has an interesting country flavor to it that gives it depth! And the chanting, especially after the 2nd chorus, seals this song as a classic. Maybe not one I'll remember the most, given that 2016 had many songs more memorable, even from Ke$ha herself, but this song is simply a joy to hear. It's so well composed! 33) 307 pts / Peak: 1 (2 days) / 29 days on chart / 19 days in Top 10 I'm surprised this song was the one that got the most points out of the 4, but I guess it makes sense: that chorus is an undeniable dance-inducing masterpiece. If I ever decided to actually dance, this is a song that could get me to do it. There are a lot of corny lines, but they don't take away from how danceable this is. --- And now before we move on, I want to say something. I ended up delving further into Ke$ha's discography after having watched Spectrum Pulse's video on Warrior, where he went into detail about how the producers had in a way sabotaged the sales of the album by not properly advertising it, because it wasn't really the kind of music they wanted from her. After having listened to a decent number of the songs on Warrior, 4 of which were big hits in my charts this year, I can say without the shadow of a doubt that this was a criminal mistake. The album has many songs that have a lot of depth to them, and would definitely be appreciated the portion of the general public that have actual taste beyond manufactured pop. That, on top of everything that happened to her in 2016, makes me feel very bad for her. I so dearly hope she is able to make a comeback after all that happened to her, and I hope that she'll be allowed to express herself artistically as she desires. She really does deserve to be known for more than the "drunk party girl" image that her biggest hits paint of her. She deserves better than this, people. So please give at the very least Warrior a listen, if you haven't. --- 32) 310 pts / Peak: 2 / 27 days on chart / 15 days in Top 10 Ah, Madeon. One of the many breakout artists this year! This song was an unexpected sleeper hit, but it managed to score the #2 spot on the May 2016 Month-End tally. Which is pretty good! The song itself is fairly repetitive lyrically, but they're strangely relatable, especially "If I could try a little harder / I would succeed (oh, oh) / I'd rather give up /And be happy". Hits home, I guess xD And the production is nice! It's got a bit of dramatic flair to it, which I guess was kind of what I wanted in May 2016 :P 31) 310 pts / Peak: 3 / 28 days on chart / 14 days in Top 10 /R/POPHEADS REPRESENT This song is wonderful. But it didn't do all that well in its two individual runs on the charts. Before it recharted in September 2016, this song was at a very dismal 163 points, which would barely give it entry in the Top 200... but its second wind gave it just enough points to almost make the Top 25. It didn't quite hit it, but that's fine. It's in the Top 40, which is good enough! 30) 318 pts / Peak: 1 (6 days) / 30 days on chart / 13 days in Top 10 The quickest way to my heart is with a soaring uplifting song. It worked wonders for Hardwell in 2014 with his smash "Dare You" with Matthew Koma, same for Keane's "Won't Be Broken", and Murray Gold's "Song of Freedom". This song isn't the only one of its kind here, but it's certainly one of my favourites. The lyrics deserve mention as well: they embrace the power of emotions, and how one should fight for the right to feel feelings. It also highlights how music is an important expression of those emotions, and that a world without music could certainly be a dark one. (In fact, the world not having any music is part of the premise of the album this song is on!) This song is a wonderful blast of "joy to be alive", and it's a perfect song to put on my phone when the sun is out. This is a GREAT track, and it brought Coldplay into the spotlight of the JeffCharts. This song rules, and I LOVE it. 29) 320 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 41 days on chart / 11 days in Top 10 This song has a dismal Top 10 run compared to the other songs around it, but it managed a whopping 41 day chart run, mainly thanks to many interspaced re-entries on the charts over the months after its initial run. And this song definitely deserves this, since it's quite a marvel. It feels unique: combining high-hats with an echoing and haunting production makes for a strangely appealing sound. The lyrics are a bit hard for me to decipher, but I think they're about accepting that pain and love are things that are intertwined, and that trying to hide the pain doesn't work out well? I'm not sure. But this song is still wonderful. And it marks Kiesza's highest peak to date, after not having done quite so well in 2015 with Hideaway and Giant in My Heart. Her performance here is really good, too! 28) 324 pts / Peak: 1 (3 days) / 27 days on chart / 16 days in Top 10 This song sounds kind of depressing. Which made it a perfect fit for inclusion in Bojack Horseman. Which, of course, is where I picked this song up. At first, it didn't seem like it would be even a big hit, but after its 3 day run at the top, followed by an insistence to stick around and then a re-entry in December that only helped rack up the scorepoint, it made it here... I guess I don't mind it, though this song kind of makes me feel numb... 27) 331 pts / Peak: 1 (5 days) / 30 days on chart / 14 days in Top 10 There are a lot of sad songs this year. 2016 was a fairly sad year musically for me. But I'll tell you right now, this is the cream of the crop for me. No song captures the raw pain of heartbreak as much as this song does. Patrick Watson's performance is golden here, as he portrays a man coping with the loss of his loved one. The second verse of the song is probably the most heartbreaking for me, as he mentions a large tree that he climbs, fighting the harsh winds as he holds on for dear life, then remembering how his loved one used to hold on to him just as strongly. The second chorus that comes in, with the added strings, makes an already poignant chorus pack even more of a gut-punch. This song is a masterpiece, and it's hands down my favourite song this year. Sorry to spoil the party here, but it is. :P And finally, 26) Patrick Carney - Bojack's Theme 332 pts / Peak: 1 (4 days) / 26 days on chart / 19 days in Top 10 Ever wanted a song that portrays what the life of a star is like? Well, the theme song to Bojack Horseman, my new favourite cartoon of all time, is a good approximation. There's hints of the glitz and glamour that everyone associates with it, in the saxophone that plays faintly in the song, but it's all surrounded by hollowness, represented in this song by the bubbly sound that I can't quite identify properly. :P Bojack is a very troubled person, who thinks being famous is the answer to all his problems. Spoiler: it isn't. And this song I feel appropriately encapsulates the vibe of the character: encapsulated by the fame he has earned long ago, and just kind of stuck there. It's actually a bit of a depressing song, in a way. But it's very good. Like the show. Which you should watch if you haven't. Seriously, it's on Netflix, just go watch it. You won't regret it, I swear. ---- And that's that. Next, 25-1! We'll be counting the winners of 2016! :o -JeffRayGun

Pete's Top 40 4/3/2017
Routine had a brief chart run back in January for me. It didn't do quite so well even though it's a pretty decent song. Alan Walker can't catch a break on my charts it seems... xD Nice to see Chained to the Rhythm rising! Seventeen was a nice song from Alessia Cara. It did not bad back in April last year but it's not quite my favourite of hers. That would have to go to Stars, which "slew" my charts back in January 2017. It's such a cute song  Keep it up!
