Just put on Today’s Top Hits at #6. Hopefully this can help a bit in the UK and can push them back into the Global Top 50.

A song thats been out for 4 (almost 5) days thats at #4 at iTunes isn't free falling.

I thought it went by decrease in total sales. And since they’ve been slipping on streaming I thought maybe the iTunes discount might not be enough to save them but oh well. I still think the girls can rise, especially if they perform on the X Factor.

So next week will be Promises 10th week on the chart. Will it hit ACR? If so I’d think that really increased LM’s odds at #1

Kworb has Little Mix back at #1 again. I imagine those three songs could do a lot of switching around throughout the week.

I’m waiting to see if they keep climbing on Spotify/Apple Music cause if they can pass Promises by Monday I’d say they’re still in the race. Either way a top 5 debut is still great and an X Factor performance could definitely boost them to #1

I mean the song has been out for 24 hours now. I think red or dark red was to be expected about now. The real test is whether they can get some more green updates tomorrow and stabilize with a solid lead.

same here with the original opinion being "I like it...think it'll grow" and now fully on "brilliant" if the Nicki rap was better itd be "one of their best singles"

It’s definitely thanks to Nicki. Shout Out To My Ex got close burn i think a part of that was because of the world premiere and all the hype on the internet. I think that they would’ve gone top 20 on their own, maybe. But they probably wouldn’t have gotten there this early either.

The playlist video is up now and I love it. Also its on Hot Hits UK as well right in the middle of the playlist. Hopefully both the video and the song will be moved up later in the week but at least they're both there. Also they're 6 on the main NMF playlist which is higher than I expected.

Little Mix to smash please

On first listen I was underwhelmed but I think I had just listened to the demo too many times so it threw me off. Its definitely different than their other leads (not as in your face, anthemic, etc) but I love it. The Nicki feature was unnecessary but I bop regardless. Also, they're on the top of several New Music Friday playlists and they've got a vertical video coming tomorrow on Spotify so hopefully they'll get that immediate Hot Hits add as well. I really want all the cards to come together to give them the best chance at #1 as possible, and Spotify is crucial (especially since they haven't booked any first week performances)

So we know now that the music video isn’t coming of Friday but a lyric video is. I know that the US charts count any video with the official audio but does the UK? Obviously a lyric video wouldn’t help as much as a real one but every little bit counts

I think the difference between the two is that Mumford & Sons have gotten less successful with each era. Their first album is 5x platinum, their second is 3x platinum and their most recent is only platinum. On the other hand Little Mix keep doing better with each era. Obviously anything could happen and I think they’ll both have strong openings but if they play their cards right pushing the lead and promoting the album, I think Little Mix could take it. Michael Bublé could go really heavy handed with promotion and beat both of them though. I think we’ll have a better idea once all the albums are on preorder and we see who’s leading consistently

I get that some of you all have some kind of irrational grudge against Little Mix which is fine I guess but there’s no way anyone truly believes the lead single off of their highly anticipated new album is going to debut outside the Top 40 with less than 10k sales.

Part of the contest is that you have to be available to meet them on Oct 12th from 7AM - 9AM so I assume that would be when they’re in the studio

I went ahead and decided to be optimistic #1 debut - The current big songs really aren’t selling that much and I think the opportunity is just right for someone like Little Mix to come in and blow up on the first week. I’ve seen a lot of hype for this single to so hopefully that pays off with some heavy initial radio play and good Spotify playlisting immediately. 51k-60k - This about the range they’d need to beat Promises this week (and probably next) and a I think it’s doable, especially if they have some kind of performance that they’re not telling us about yet. #1 final peak - Regardless of its debut position after hearing the demo and knowing that they will perform it eventually and release the video I think it could definitely spend a few weeks at #1

They’ll be a Capital FM on Friday morning (there’s a contest to meet them that they’re advertising) so I guess they’ll prerecord a Breakfast Show interview on Radio 1? Or they could give the people what they want and stop by there in the afternoon for a Live Lounge. I wish they had a televised performance scheduled during debut week but most lineups have already been announced and they’re not on them.

I really wish this was coming on the 5th. Hearing all the snippets we’ve heard and seeing the single cover and everything has me really excited for this era and I’m ready for it to start.
