He’s just smiling. If that’s what you took away from that picture, that must just be how you think he looks all the time lol But anyway I wish he was releasing Kind of Beautiful or the new song he sang in Japan instead of this clear attempt to chase a trend that ended last year but hopefully it’s good and it’s acutually successful and then the label will actually let him release the songs he wrote.

Obviously Gary’s was great (a little too great in a way that seems like he had practiced but that’s neither here nor there) but it’s a lot harder for four people to flow seemlessly between random songs at the same time in sync. They were doing it right on the spot, it would be nearly impossible for them to pull it off like Gary did without rehearsal before hand.

I barely made it past the opening lyric ("sweet baby, our sex has meaning") but I did and found the whole thing boring beyond belief. the music videos are doing too much with a man who can't pull it off and the whole thing is underwhelming

What does the YTD singles chart look like, now that we’ve got the first quarter out of the way.

They've actually been out of the Top 40 on sales for the past few weeks (in addition to a few weeks last year right before the re-release). It is weird that they randomly announced it this week instead of a couple weeks ago when it happened and I can't think of any reasons why.

I did some research and it turns out that out of Glory Days' 69 weeks in the top 40 of the official chart, only 6 of those weeks was it out of the top 40 on the sales only chart. That would put it at 63 weeks if you take out the streaming factor which means that regardless of streaming, Little Mix would've still at least tied the Spice Girls' record.

I don't see why people are so upset and truly hurt over this. The Spice Girls held the record and Little Mix broke it. It's that simple. No one is saying that Little Mix is bigger than the Spice Girls. Its simply stating a fact. You can sit on here and cry about how streaming is ruining all the records that your old times faves should hold forever but it doesn't change anything. The record has been broken and considering that Glory Days is still in the Top 20, it will be interesting to see where the record stands when they finally leave the Top 40. People keep bringing up sales when that is clearly not what this record is about and literally no one has implied that Little Mix have outsold the Spice Girls. Its simply a testament to Little Mix's longevity that a girl group (and X factor act at that) can be breaking these records on their fourth album. Just congratulate them and move on. I doubt the Spice Girls themselves care that much about their record being broken so I don't understand why so many people on here seem to.

I think that was mostly just a joke? Like he was pretending that it wasn’t a big deal bc he was just doing a casual twitter Q & A. I would assume that it will be a full For You performance but there might be a bit of a different song thrown in before that. If anything they might cut the little instrumental break during the bridge like they did on the Today Show

Hopefully the Brits can boost the song into the Top 5

How many times are they gonna update Hot Hits and still leave Liam/Rita right in the middle while all the new releases get moved above it

I’ve been looking and to me it seems like it has good chances of staying top 10. Maybe not at #7 and it depends on if they stay or drop on Spotify or keep rising like they did last week but I think the odds are good.

For You is combined #2 in sales now at .7849. It does seem to be rising on Spotify now so I could definitely see a new peak inside the top 10 in its future and the top 5 if they play their cards right and get some better playlist positions.

Clean Bandit ft Little Mix

It’s up to #3 on WW iTunes now. The release of the music video really helped and now that the movie is nearing closer it seems to have really picked up, especially in Europe. I’m really hoping for a UK iTunes discount tonight to help make up for the low streaming (although it is at least picking up a little bit, still situated down near the middle of Hot Hits UK).

I had previously assumed that it would be the song for the end credits, but I really don't know. I'm hoping for a discount on Friday in the UK and maybe some Spotify promotion to get it to the top (or just within the top 10) of Hot Hits UK. Its actually going really well on iTunes around the world (#4 today on kworb's ww iTunes chart) but it can't seem to take off on Spotify.

I was hoping for a Liam/Rita discount as well but I’m thinking maybe it’ll come next week to coincide with the soundtrack/film release

I thought for sure that when Hot Hits updated after being stagnant all week the newer songs would move up but no, they’re all still stuck at the bottom.

They deleted the single version at some time yesterday. The other two versions (one from the explicit soundtrack and the other from the clean version) were well outside the Top 200 then but now I’m seeing one version at 73 and the other at 99 on kworb.

For You getting little boosts every day while still being placed firmly at the bottom of Hot Hits UK. Hopefully it can keep climbing bit by bit until it’s moved higher on the playlist. Also hoping that the NMF songs don’t knock it out of the top 50 again.

If someone would spend just a bit of money to push the song up Hot Hits UK and Today's Top Hits it would take off. Instead its falling down those playlists while songs that have had their chance are still hogging up the top. They mentioned something about New York promo the other day on the Big Top 40, so maybe a proper push will start soon with promo and a bit of payola.
