I’ve never liked this song. It seems way too on the nose, like they were trying to hard to get put on everyone’s International Women’s Day playlists lol. Also, as a woman, I know how hard it is and I don’t really care to sit and wallow in all the parts that suck. I much prefer a Salute type empowerment song.

I don’t think any of the girls are destined to have big solo music careers at this point. Maybe if they’d broken up 5 years in, one of them could’ve pushed through. I think Perrie has the most fans, so I think she’ll do the best if she bothers but they’ll all eventually settle into TV or radio personality gigs.

I think the fact that it’s David Guetta feat. Little Mix makes it clear it’s not the lead. But yeah, there’s not a single reference to the sky so I assume the lead is still coming and probably soonish.

Yeah, it really wouldn’t make sense to do that. And honestly her vocals in most of the choruses aren’t that prominent (unless you’re listening for them) and they don’t usually use that much backing track on verses so I don’t think the tour will cause that much of an issue. They mostly just need to take out her ad libs.

Do we even know when that video of Perrie is from? I assumed it was today but I don’t actually know.

Sweet Melody and No Time for Tears will both pretty much be gone by March. I don’t think overexposure is a worry right now. I think they need to ride off the hype of a number #1 single and a member leaving and push forward. If the song is ready, the music video is about to be filmed and the tour is getting pushed back a year, they might as well release it in March or early April and they’ll be able to promote it.

She said the single is coming “pretty soon” but she doesn’t know the actual release date. Maybe sometime in early March? If the video doesn’t have a lot of special effects or anything, it shouldn’t take too long to turn it around and have it ready by then.

I think the two televised performances of Think About Us were both great and really elevated the song. Worst would probably be Holiday. It just doesn't work that well.

Not A Pop Song is bad as an album track and terrible as a single choice.

I like the song but it’s not like the videos gonna get that many views anyway. I can promise you, we will not be discussing this take in a week, because we will all have moved on from the the video already. Also, a lot of Little Mix fans are teenage girls. And as a woman who was once I teenager, I’ve really grown to resent the idea that having teenage girls as your fanbase is a bad thing.

There was like maybe 2 teen girls out of all the people they showed in that video. You haven’t even seen it and you’ve decided what the whole video is. Don’t get me wrong, I could not care less about this video now that I know the girls aren’t in it, but I feel like you’re jumping to conclusions.

Unfollowing Perrie’s cousin is not a PR statement and it’s laughable to think it is. I can’t even make sense of your second point but it basically seems like your blaming Jesy for any struggles she has with people obsessing over her life because, again, she unfollowed some people on Instagram?

I don’t think there actually is a respectful way to pick apart every move someone makes online. If you love Jesy so much and have been a fan for so long, how do you not realize that she’s an incredibly private person who hates that kind of stuff. No, you all aren’t saying anything nasty, but that doesn’t mean it should continue.

I think they would’ve held onto #1 last week without the push anyway, but yes, it’s good it happened last week instead of being wasted this week. Although I guess the funds could’ve gone to NTFT instead

Yeah, anything referencing the departure of Jesy in any way would just kind of come off as a desperate attention grab to me. Let the music speak for itself and bless us with a fantastic pop bop and then if they want to throw in a sappy ballad on the album so be it.

I don’t think she wants them to tag her in anything or draw attention to her in relation to the group in social media. They mentioned it on the radio and that was great, but it’s not a coincidence that everyone who works with them isn’t tagging her. I’m sure she has asked them not too.

I think they’ll stay ahead of Justin and Ed for #2.

At some point, y’all have to accept that she left the group. So she has no obligation to post about the group or acknowledge what’s going on in the group. In time, she’ll probably do an interview or something to talk about what lead to the decision and at that point she’ll probably mention how she feels about the continued success of the group without her, including Sweet Melody reaching #1. But she doesn’t owe us an explanation or a post or anything.

I’m not ruling out a second week at #1. I think it’ll spend on how far Whoopty can pull away on Spotify or if they can keep the Amazon lead. I think it’ll be close.

Glad to see it climbing on Amazon and Apple. Hopefully that could be enough to help it climb into the Top 20 before the music video comes out.

I think Sweet Melody is a perfect guide map for what they should be doing in the future. It’s pop and it’s fun but it’s not riddled with cheesy/cringe lyrics and the video features them doing what they do best. The Little Mix from the DNA era would have never made that video and that’s what we need. They need to continue making music for their actual age group instead of the age group they originally appealed to because that age group doesn’t even like that sound anymore.

This climbed up to #5 on the Youtube chart which I believe is from Monday. Is it out of the question that they could get a second week? It seems like their lead on Amazon was doing it for them even before the buying spree and with all of the top songs being ahead on different platforms could they sneak in one more week?

If he didn’t gain on them today I don’t think he’ll do it. They’re too close on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube to make a difference when those get added later and clearly, they’re beating him on Amazon and iTunes as those are the must up to date numbers and they’re ahead.
