I mean I guess that’s possible but I wouldn’t call NTFT a “single off the album”. It’s their current single that was added to the album.

Why does this read like you know what it is and you think it’s a terrible choice?

Is that the one that’s just studio footage with only Jade? If they’re gonna wait that long to upload it (which I understand because they want to have it smash after Christmas), I don’t get why they couldn’t film an actual video. We’ve seen the impact the Sweet Melody video had on the song and a real video without Jesy would still be better in my opinion than a behind the scenes video.

I think they probably will say things at some point but I understand why, a week after they make a statement that specifically says they will not be saying anything else on the matter, they aren’t going to address it on Jonathan Ross. I think the statement they posted managed to get the word out well enough. I also think it’s probably not easy for the girls to talk about either and so if they don’t want to, I get it.

Didn’t that BBC orchestra song have huge leads on itunes a couple weeks ago? How much did that sell?

Do we even know if they’ve filmed a video? They don’t exactly have the best track record for doing that early.

How is it doing on Amazon streaming? I only ask because it’s Top 10 on all the platforms I can see on kworb (#1 iTunes, #2 AM, #7 Spotify, #8 Youtube, #9 Deezer).

I’m not sure they’ll all come through tomorrow, because even if the order is complete, they haven’t been dispatched. But I’m sure they wouldn’t have done it if they didn’t think most if not all of the copies would go out this week so I think she’s definitely done enough today to secure the #1.

That’s what I mean. I think everyone knew Kylie would have extra formats ready to go this week. Little Mix didn’t, they didn’t restock the cassettes and their vinyl has been sold out on HMV all week. They also could’ve had additional formats but they didn’t make them. They did more than they usually do to start out with, but they didn’t have anything extra ready. I understand they probably would’ve signed more albums if Jesy were available, but I wish they would’ve had more options ready to go. Regardless, they’re gonna end the week with great sales and they have a smash hit in Sweet Melody. I’m happy with that but it’s still disappointing that they just never choose the right release week.

Yeah, it’s clear Kylies team was more prepared for this battle. LMs team either don’t care about the #1 or thought they would run away with it.

Back at #1 on Apple Music. I know the way that chart is compiled is unclear but it’s still nice to see them up there battling with Ariana who is a big streaming artist.

Have you all never watched an awards show before? They always have the voiceover and different presenters and they go back to the host from time to time.

Unfortunately, unless LM surprise us with some tricks up their sleeve, I think we can call it for Kylie. They’ll be #2 with healthy sales though when a lot of people would’ve thought they were done after their last era so I can’t be too mad. Just a shame they always choose bad weeks to release and annoying well have to hear about it from the Kylie stans in the main threads lol.

I think those preorder numbers were before Kylie released the special Spotify vinyl so she probably was a little higher than that by release day.

Obviously we'll see how they're holding up throughout the week but their streaming is better now than it was for LM5 and they almost hit 10,000 then.

I’m not the police but if you edited the post you can’t get mad at someone for not quoting your full post when that was the full post at one point. You could’ve just explained that at the beginning when you were called out but instead you got defensive and then that made it seem like you were taken out of context, which you weren’t. Anyway, I think Kylies gonna take it. She was already putting out additional signed copies on Day 1 and will probably have more. I just don’t think RCA UK is prepared for this battle and the streaming alone won’t cut it.

Yes, Jesy decided not to appear on the finale of their TV show and the hosting gig at the EMAs just to sell a couple extra copies. You all got her! Nice detective work!
