Shout Out Black Magic Wings Touch Holiday (I’m speaking it into existence)

No one was saying they were actually reuniting. Just worried they might release one or two previously unreleased songs (which was rumored) that could be treated like singles.

It’s strange how I feel like there’s a different energy around this release. I just have such a good feeling that everything is lining up for them right now and hopefully they can capitalize on it.

I don’t think the video is ready yet but I think it shouldn’t be too long before we get it.

Break Up Song did well at Radio 1 so I’d like to see that carry over to the next single but I’m not getting my hopes up.

I’ve never been one to care about if a song sounds “dated” or like it was written four years ago and released now. If I like the song, I like it and it seems to be getting positive reviews from those who have heard it so I’m excited.

I doubt it’s for The Search. It’s clear the album would’ve already been out or been about to come out without lockdown because they said we’d have it for the summer. I assume they’re going to into overdrive now to attempt to make up for lost time. They can film do album shoots and video shoots and finish the album and release it. They still can’t host live shows for a tv competition show.

Freedom is older. I don’t remember if it was pre or post Glory Days but it’s been up for a while.

At this point it wouldn’t matter. US radio isn’t just going to suddenly support a new Little Mix single unless it takes off on streaming or something in the states or features a major US artist that has a good history with radio. Even when they would tour the US, they would do a radio interview and that might be the only time that station plays their song. A couple US radio interviews would only be nice content for the fans and when they can call up Capital every other week to do the same thing, I can’t see them bothering with reaching out to America.

Hot Hits UK is a UK based playlist so it’s much easier for them to get on. TTH is a global (but skewed to the US) playlist so an act like Little Mix is not going to get on there as easily.

I think the collab and the email are two different things. Cause Leigh confirms a collab and then Perrie changes the subject with the email.

Is this because of Drake tracks or did it just straight up fall?

Did both Break Up Song and Boyfriend get their vertical videos removed this week? Could that explain the drop? It’ll be interesting to see how they do on Youtube with the video. Will it hold up like they are on itunes and apple music or will it free fall?

Ariana was never a legitimate possibility. She forgot about them the moment they stepped out of the arena on their last tour date.

I still love Bounce Back but that’s as someone not familiar with the original song. So for me, it was something totally new.

#32 on Spotify now. Rising slowly but still rising.

Fell one place again on Spotify, but with four new entries above it. Maybe a sign of things turning around with the help of Radio 1?

The fact that the girls have different strengths and different personalities doesn’t speak to their effort or work ethic. Also, given Jesy’s struggles and insecurities associated with being in the limelight, it’s not really surprising that she doesn’t always want to be on camera.

That’s not bad considering the lack of big playlist support outside the UK. I think it should be enough to keep them in the Top 50 today.

Great result for Little Mix!

For comparison, Skeptas tracks range from 157k to 698k total plays (I’m not sure if any of the tracks were already out before yesterday. Although Break Up Song has way more, I’d assume Skepta has a much higher percentage of UK streams. Duas album tracks all for more streams than Break Up Song but more of them probably come from other countries than LM as she had much better Spotify exposure and has a hit single in a lot of other markets. I’d say they stand a good chance of debuting in the Top 50.

The only thing that gives me hope is that there is a vertical video. Those are usually made for the playlist so it seems strange that they would put it out if there was no playlist support lined up.

That’s fair, but I feel like it’s hard to put them in a box when there’s four of them. Personally, I think Perrie would rather be releasing pure pop music. Jades favorite song they’ve ever released is Wasabi which is definitely more pop than r&b but can’t really be defined. I think they like all sorts of music and the album ends up leaning towards what they’re feeling at the moment.
