The Weeknd - Starboy
Agree with this.I feel like Starboy was essentially a "Deluxe Edition" album since it has 18 tracks on it. Maybe a 10-12 tracks Standard Edition, and the rest of the (filler) tracks marketed as the Deluxe Edition bonus track would be much better.

Any idea about Drake Fake Love? I'm worried this song would become One Dance 2.0 lmao. Edit: Currently Fake Love was already on 41 Spotify related playlists, and I except the number would keep rising in future time.

Congratulation for Starboy to finally hit the #1 on NZ after being stuck at #2 for two weeks. James Arthur Say You Won't Let Go staying at #3, although it was being the one of the bullet tracks for third consecutive weeks since its top 40 debut two weeks ago as evidence on the SYWLG performance in Spotify. (Currently at #3 and the daily play was not far behind to both Starboy and Closer by just under 6K difference.)

This is another site that provide the Spotify data, but more organized and user-friendly interface to view and I'm glad I found it recently. You can view the most of the details (Charts evolution, Current Positions, Peak Positions, and it even show which playlists the song currently/previously featured) from any specific track you want by using search tab or clicking the name of the song at the daily/weekly charts. www.spotontrack.com/track/shout-out-to-my-ex/3196136 For instance, this is how it looks like for the Little Mix Shout Out To Me Ex. * All the data are shown "Global" by default. If you wish to view the data in specific country/region, just click the "Global" tab and select the country/region you want to view.

Say You Won't Let Go steep rise to #3 :o, after it already hit #1 in UK, Ireland and Australia. Currently it's #3 on Spotify New Zealand and just around 6K and 10K difference between Closer and Starboy, which means it's around 4K difference between Closer and Starboy. So this Friday #1 could be anyone games between The Weeknd and The Chainsmokers.

2016 Australian Chart Thread
I agree that Starboy would likely to topped the chart soon than Say You Won't Let Go as Starboy performance was more well rounded on sales and streaming than Say You Won't Let Go (It definitely lead the sales and while streaming was rapidly increase over the weeks, but it still fairly behind from Starboy, and Closer streaming)

Is the streaming conversion rate too generous?
I'm not sure how exact the streaming conversion ratio, and how they run on the other countries, but I think the method for both Australia ARIA and New Zealand RMNZ charts to handle the streaming conversion ratio was quite worth to bring up here. Australia ARIA charts: New Zealand RMNZ charts: P/S: I don't know the exact streaming conversion ratio, but from what I saw on other site (which I can't remember which site I saw at this moment) it was fluctuate around 175:1. While this method didn't quite execute well (As evidence on Drake One Dance topped the Aus chart and NZ chart for 7 non-consecutive weeks and 13 consecutive weeks respectively AND The Chainsmokers Closer currently on to replicates the One Dance #1 run on both countries), but at least both are try manage the streaming conversion ratio to be relevant on the current standards by reviewing the ratio on a quarterly basis. The singles chart on the upcoming weeks would be pretty interesting especially on The Weeknd Starboy, James Arthur Say You Won't Let Go, and the new entry from Bruno Mars 24K Magic. As of now Starboy and Closer currently at #3 and #5 on iTunes NZ chart, while on Spotify NZ Closer (43 180) & Starboy (41 515) daily play being incredibly close to each other by just less than 2K difference and Closer was already losing the stream on the past couple of weeks. So I think on this Friday there would be a close battle among the contender Closer and Starboy to crown the top. James Arthur Say You Won't Let Go being topped the iTunes NZ chart for the past few days, and rapidly gain the stream basically everywhere (Sidebar: It's currently #1 in Spotify Ireland, and surprisingly it make top 70 appearance on Spotify US and Canada as well) and it's a no exception for New Zealand which currently placed at #8 (26 444) on Spotify NZ daily play chart. So yeah he's most likely guarantee to make the Top 10 this Friday. No doubt Bruno Mars would likely to have at least a top 20 debut this Friday, as 24K currently at #2 on iTunes, and rapidly climb on Spotify on #14 (22 417). New Music Sundays vs New Music Fridays
Friday vs Sunday: Friday for sure because I can fully enjoy listen the new songs/albums for the weekends as opposed to Sunday where the mood being spoiled due to dreading/anxious Monday to come. On Air/On Sale: Of course I take OA/OS since you can get the new release instantly and it's suck to see the new records being holding back for weeks while many other countries (including neighbours like Ireland) are able to access the new records earlier. Chart impact: Well I think that's not much difference except it screwed dance tracks and new artist debut releases. Some say it made chart slower, but I doubt it much. The main cause of slow chart was the streaming, and I blame Spotify on how they manage the playlists, and we already saw the impact on pre-July 2015 Sunday chart (Ed Sheeran Thinking Out Loud, and most of Meghan Trainor debut album singles like All About That Bass for instance). Chart show day: I prefer they release the full chart on Sunday because I truly annoyed that the Thursday combined sales has to be in the estimated figure rather than the exact figure. I mean release the full chart on Sunday means they can have time to figure out the exact Thursday combined sales. Aussie update their chart on every Saturday despite the figure was tracked on Friday-Thursday basis, and US Billboard chart refresh the chart on Tuesday (Mainly because their airplay figure was tracked on Monday-Sunday basis, but sales & streaming figure was on Friday-Thursday.) so it shouldn't be a big issue to delay the full chart release.

Sia The Greatest debut on #7. :D I'm not sure if The Greatest still hold the top 10 placement this Friday as the songs hanging around at the edge of top 10 on Spotify NZ for the last few days. I expect Starving and In The Name of Love get little performance boost this Friday as they get increment streaming figures for the last few days. spotifycharts.com/regional/nz/daily/latest
