FKA twigs - Magdalene
So first I watched that Jimmy Fallon performance & then listened to this album; really impressed with both. The performance changed my impression of the song considerably, and the album was equally as arty and interesting. Will be revisiting.

Jessie Ware - Mirage (Don’t Stop)
Another great release. A bit of a step down from "Overtime" and "Adore You" but they were so excellent that it doesn't mean this isn't also great.

Jessie Ware - Mirage (Don’t Stop)
Oh yes been waiting for a new single! The post-recent-album singles "Overtime" and "Adore You" were amazing and both number 1s on my chart

Duncan Laurence - Love Don't Hate It
Took his time to release something in follow up! It is growing with each listen. I'm still listening to "Arcade" on spot plays as well - this is the latest in to the year I think I've ever done that with a Eurovision winner after they've won. Perhaps my new favourite winner hmmm.

Kanye West ‘Jesus is King’
Had a listen, enjoyed it, felt about the right length as well to me. I'm honestly much more likely to listen to a Kanye album if it's 30 mins or under. Enjoyed the albums he was involved in last year as well which were also around the same length.

Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2
I don't really think either chart really represents much anymore, but I'm still really happy Foals have managed this feat! They've been a revelation this year and really deserve some recognition for it. Also it scares me how many James Arthur loon fans there are :puke:
-
Coldplay - Everyday Life
Quite enjoyed on first and second listens; I think it’s Orphans that makes me start singing “here comes the bride” to the chorus. One of them did anyway

DJ Spoony - Garage Classical
#35 midweek 👀 Not that chart position stops this being a great little project :D don't miss out!
-
Mumford & Sons - Delta
It was, though I've ended up loving "Woman" and "Forever" as standalones

The 1975 - Notes on a Conditional Form
I have faith this'll be a lot better than "People", though worried that "People" was the moment they just got really arrogant and pretentious and that anything from now on just won't feel the same. We'll see! Certainly not as excited as I was a year ago for any new material from them.

Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2
Enjoyed this on first listen, though not as much as Part 1, however that grew and grew so I expect this will too. Foals are a revelation this year.

DJ Spoony - Garage Classical
The Dreem Teem legend DJ Spoony has teamed up with Katie Chatburn + The Ignition Orchestra and a host of great vocalists to bring us Garage Classical! And yes it includes THAT original Sugababes line-up, as well as Paloma Faith, Lily Allen, Zak Abel, Emeli Sandé, Gabrielle and others. Track listing: 1. "Moving Too Fast" ft Paloma Faith (originally by Artful Dodger & Romina Johnson) 2. "Flowers" ft Sugababes (originally by Sweet Female Attitude; Sunship Mix) 3. "Body Groove" ft Nay Nay & Ms Banks (originally by Architechs ft Nana) 4. "Sweet Like Chocolate" ft Lily Allen (originally by Shanks & Bigfoot) 5. "Gotta Get Thru This" ft Zak Abel (originally by Daniel Bedingfield; D'N'D Mix) 6. "Fill Me In" ft Raleigh Ritchie (originally by Craig David) 7. "Back Up, Back Up" 8. "Crazy Love" ft Emeli Sandé (originally by MJ Cole) 9. "Sunshine" ft Gabrielle (originally by Gabrielle; Wookie Remix) 10. "My Desire" ft Aśa (originally by Amira?) 11. "Sincere" ft Hamzaa (originally by MJ Cole) 12. "Gabrielle" ft Lifford 13. "21 Seconds" ft So Solid Crew (originally by So Solid Crew) It's really very good guys, seriously, check it out. Pure nostalgia and all covered very well. Also liking seeing Hamzaa on here after the fantastic "Breathing" from the start of the year, and Lifford too - he was originally on "Please Don't Turn Me On" with Artful Dodger.

Ella Henderson – Everything I Didn't Say
Added "Glorious" and "Young" to one of my playlists last week so have heard them a few times this week. "Glorious" sounds like her take on Julia Michaels "Issues" and "Young" sounds like a Bebe Rexha take on "Sunflower" by Post Malone & Swae Lee  "Glorious" is my preference of the two! Love her vocal, she just has some class that makes her stand out from others in pop.

Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2
Listen to "This Love" and "Harder To Breathe"! It's how Maroon 5 started out, just with the smoother, poppier vocal of Adam Levine.

Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2
For what could be the last time? A fair number of listens under its belt for me (Part 1) and it keeps getting better for me. Such a solid piece of work, the criticisms here surprise me somewhat. "The Runner" is what Maroon 5 should be doing these days. It’s like a Foals spin on "This Love" meets "Harder To Breathe". Loving it now. Everything I’ve heard from part 1 and 2 so far is so diverse, they’re really bringing it.

Flowers (Sweet Female Attitude Cover) - Single Discussion
Part of DJ Spoony's "Garage Classical" release with Katie Chatburn & The Ignition Orchestra. Down a similar line to Pete Tong's recent albums basically but with a garage theme. "Moving Too Fast" ft Paloma Faith & "Sweet Like Chocolate" ft Lily Allen have already been released from it!

Kim Petras
Great video - love the song too - deserves to be a hit but at the same time it's too good to be a hit in 2019.
-
CamelPhat feat. Jem Cooke - Rabbit Hole
Not sure what to make of the clip, but I did initially struggle to get particularly in to "Be Someone" - then suddenly it all clicked and it's ended up being one of my favourite songs of the year to date - alongside "Breathe". I don't really doubt it'll probably end up the same, again, here.
-
Roberto Surace - Joys
This doesn't even have a music video yet?! I'm rubbish at paying attention these days. A former number 1 in my chart this is, and the Purple Disco Machine remix is also ace. Love love love :D

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C Oct 11th 2019
Ah fair enough last post I read was about Charli XCX. Would’ve also added Naughty Boy to the list on the basis of Asian/recent descent!

Cigarettes After Sex - Cry
Just had a listen to both - not at all what I was expecting. Really quite blissful, will be adding them to my chillax playlist. Will have to check out some of their first material.

20 years, crikey. "This Year's Love" is still stunning!

Elbow - Giants of All Sizes
Saw them perform it on The Graham Norton Show the same day - enjoyed it.
