I've had to try and explain the same to my lot here tonight. We didn't finish last because of Brexit, it's because our song and performance wasn't good enough. I don't feel it was the worst, and the UK certainly suffers a penalty for "you're the UK, you have a strong music scene and then expect us to accept THAT", but it wasn't exactly great was it? It wasn't last on televotes. Germany was. They somehow managed jury scores, lol. Malta and Norway the most robbed tonight, but so happy for North Macedonia to have had all that excitement for once. A great vocal performance, I actually was feeling emotional for them. Netherlands is a deserved winner. Switzerland deserved better, I'm a bit surprised tbh by the scores, and Iceland I thought would score more in the televotes. Italy 2nd is absolutely absurd after that abysmal performance. I really don't get that. It was my 4th favourite leading into the final. Sweden's final score also shocked me, the song deserved more and I thought they'd won it with all the 200-ish point scores given out given Portugal got to 700+ in total in the end. Brexit calls on our score is bullshit, but it's quite possible the Sweden score was downed by a bit of European racism. He and the Mama's performed 100x better than the semis.

Switzerland went down very well here and it felt very "winner"

Soldi is great in studio form but really not feeling this on the Eurovision stage and he also looks like he’s had a cocktail of drugs

His vocal was very good tonight - I’ve surprised myself by rating it a 9/10 tonight!

The girls here gave it 10/10, could be very popular on the televote!

I get where you’re coming from but do feel as a performance it lacks what Portugal managed in 2017 with the staging and that’s what it needs.

I heard that the juries were told to 'ignore presentation' (staging) due to technical issues last night. Bad news for the likes of Australia and France! Though of course whether they followed that rule or not...

This is true!! They perhaps need to tweak that staging a bit before Saturday... Hoping for Switzerland and Malta to bag those 2nd half slots now!

Looking at Instagram likes it’s a similar order too with Cyprus comfortably ahead and Australia and Iceland next very close to each other!

IIRC Portugal and Austria won from slot 11 and Sweden from slot 10 this decade - or there about - expecting a similar draw for Duncan, if of course Netherlands have won this semi...

I think Greece is at 100/1 because it literally is that unlikely to win or come close. Being massively overegged here I think, a bit like Austria was being as a qualifier for SF2. Katerine seems nice though and don't get me wrong, the song is alright!

Omg I was shouting "STAND UP!!!" at the screen! That last minute though felt very stadium anthemic and may make up for it.

They needed a Jamala like tree moment for the yoiking - my only criticism!

Went from hating Norway initially to really liking it and enjoying it tonight. It’s very Aqua I think...

Great voice, great visuals, great performance, not my favourite of the songs but think it’ll do well and deserves to!
