"Mandy" was the record of the year 2003 and there’s nothing you can say that will change that! #westlifebestlife

Jax Jones & Martin Solveig prsnt Europa - All Day And Night
Oh, this is great on first listen! Kind of makes me think of "Encore Une Fois" / "Insomnia" meets "One Kiss"??
-
Louise - Heavy Love
I actually really like this, and there I was laughing about the concept of a Louise comeback being any sort of deal

I'm Not Alone
Ooh intriguing - any idea who from? LOVED this at the time, absolutely rinsed it.
-
Gabrielle Aplin - Dear Happy
There was a 1st single from the third album??
-
Feeder - Tallulah
Cool, been enjoying a lot of the 00s bands output recently so this could follow. When was their last album? Haven’t heard from them in years!
-
Louise - Heavy Love
The comparisons to "Love Made Me Do It" and "Strip" are bizarre  Actually quite enjoyed this on first listen!
-
Meduza feat. Goodboys - Piece Of Your Heart
This was my thinking too!

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 22nd March 2019
I reckon it’s because it has mass appeal more than anything.
-
Mumford & Sons - Delta
Gave this another chance this morning. It’s really quite dull on the whole, as I originally thought on first listens. "Forever" of the unreleased tracks is very nice though.
-
Louise - Heavy Love
Perhaps they’re testing strategies and ideas in this now streaming-dominated era. There are still relative unknowns and what they learn from campaigns like this could help market other artists in the future, from areas that haven’t been selling/streaming much.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 22nd March 2019
Were you the one who first pointed that out here? The next time I heard it after I read the James Arthur comparison, I couldn't erase it, and then whenever I've had the song in my head I'd casually sing it in Cartman's voice.

Marshmello feat. CHVRCHES - Here With Me
Off the top of my head, I can't remember how this goes, but it came on earlier and I quite enjoyed it. Yes - basic - but I think it's just the CHVRCHES vocal I like. It's a bit like Bré said, basic, but the vocal makes it. Same as "Happier". I think I'd have preferred that if it was Bastille alone as I felt Marshmello took the potential away from it. Think the same with this re: CHVRCHES. Glad it's giving them some sort of recognition at least, cos they so deserve it.

Dynoro & Ina Wroldsen - Obsessed
Disappointed to read the comments above as I was hoping for something more. Not heard yet, but "In My Mind" and "Favela" were favourites of the late summer, early Autumn and they could've both collaborated with something great.

United Kingdom (You Decide) · Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Every time this shuffles on (the studio version), I actually enjoy it a fair bit y'know. I think it's watching him do the live performance, utterly cringe - the 'dance moves' and mannersisms. Perhaps it's a little better than "Storm"? I dunno. Still basic tbf.

As much as I find his voice like constipation, every time this song shuffles on, or the radio plays it, I'm absolutely captivated. It's just so lovely (and sad). I love it. It deserves to be number 1! Though I'd love to see "Giant" get a week.

I’ve had it in my head all day!
-
Alec Benjamin - Narrated for You
Heard "Let Me Down Slowly" a few times now, really quite liking it. The non Alessia version that is. Something about it reminds me of Mike Posner??

Jack Back thread
"Survivor" Obviously love the Destiny's Child original but it's a nice reboot for me. And also David Guetta sounds so much better than he has in ages. "Drive" is the only massively good thing he's been involved with for quite some time and I'm sure that was more Black Coffee.

Ava Max - So Am I
Exactly, tbh! Ava isn’t some messiah like some are making her out to be, she’s just another pop star... it’s incredibly recyclable as a genre in the mainstream. At least this is happy, fun and catchy with a good message. Just cos she’s had a huge - at random - single - does not make her the next pop princess. I think what it says more is that we really need to have someone come through like our Gagas, Katy Perry, Britney, Madonna etc.

Jonas Blue ft. Theresa Rex - What I Like About You
WhoOdyssey, you get so excited and are amazed by every single song I swear  I do not believe you in most cases anymore! bless ya! Is this really more basic than Rise? God those lyrics made me cringe particularly the savage line. Please can this be better? Not heard it yet... "Back & Forth" the best he’s been involved with in the last year but that had an MK stamp on it.

Mama (Clean Bandit feat. Ellie) | feature
Nah. Basic. Both have done a lot better
-
The Chainsmokers - World War Joy
:o "Hope" is the best thing they’ve done since the Coldplay collaboration for me
-
The Chainsmokers - World War Joy
Christ, I can’t keep up! I’m still on "Hope".
