Yungblud - Weird!
Maybe we should ask Bjork? :D

Oldest acts to reach No1 in the Official UK Chart
I wonder if when you take novelty/charity songs out of the equation, would the top 10 then be much more mixed? (If you consider Cher and Madonna as examples)

Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure?
I like the new track - while not a standout (well, it is a grat rather than a single), it still packs in the quality. I get a French disco vibe from it.

Live Lounge Allstars - Times Like These
This was my reaction as well, enjoying it then that rap... Also not sure I was keen on how the voices blended together. In terms of big ensemble hits, "Perfect Day" was iconic for literally showcasing each vocal on its own, and there were some in particular who you knew who they were without having to see the video! :D

Spotify Chart Thread [April 2020]
I think it'll go to number 1 if it does.

Gerry Cinnamon - The Bonny
Given it a couple of listens, not feeling it's anything special yet.
-
Anne-Marie - Birthday
This always was, and still is, utter garbage.

"Honey" has so much depth, it took a number of listens but then it clicked and have been in love ever since. Great song only topped (slightly) by "With Every Heartbeat" and "Dancing On My Own" for me.

The xx - TBA
Reading their Insta post: "Looking forward to 2020! We’ve all been working on new music, can’t wait to share it with you! Hope you have the best new year! xx The xx" - I think it means they've all been working on side projects.

Please give her recent album "Honey" a listen! The track "Honey" in particular  I think "Human Being", and "Baby Forgive Me" coupled with "Send To Robin Immediately" are my other highlights on it.

Gerry Cinnamon - The Bonny
Oh he's released it this week after all! For some reason I thought this was out on the 24th and hadn't sought it out to listen.
-
Billy Raffoul - A Few More Hours at YYZ
He was featured on Avicii's 2018 EP - the track "You Be Love": M0X3jVSVzao Wasn't my favourite on the EP but was still good :)

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 17th April 2020
That's the point, either you pay for the song and it counts as 1 whole sale, or you stream up to the total of 1 whole sale. Unless I've misunderstood/things have changed. Nobody should be contributing more than 1 sale, though as always there are ways around it.

Once you've purchased the song, listening to that song does not count as a stream.

"Honey" and "Dancing On My Own" are only very marginally behind "With Every Heartbeat" for me as well, probably 3 of my all-time favourite songs.

Jamie xx - Idontknow
Robyn played this to close off her CLUB DOMO set last night and it really sounded great, really clicked on that listen. Coincidentally my vinyl for "In Colour" delivered the same day this dropped :D
-
Duke Dumont - Duality
This is a really good album. "Love Song" in particular is such a highlight, one of the best dance tracks in recent years I think.
-
Fiona Apple "Fetch The Bolt Cutters"
I made the mistake of giving this a first listen in the background whilst working, and I didn't enjoy it much at all, though appreciated its quality. Given it a 2nd listen today whilst paying proper attention and I got a lot more out of it. It's a good, very interesting piece of work with some very strong lyrics. I think "Heavy Balloon" might be a particular highlight for me, alongside "Under The Table"?
-
The Strokes - The New Abnormal
It's worth it for some of the songs you haven't heard tbf, "Selfless" for example, and "Not The Same Anymore". It all gets better with each listen.
-
Regard & RAYE - Secrets
Regard joins the pass the vocalist parcel circle then, maybe next it'll be featuring Becky Hill, then perhaps Ella Henderson?
-
Rina Sawayama - SAWAYAMA
Everything I heard leading up to the album was just not for me whatsoever, but I did listen to the album today after noticing some good reviews, and as a collection it does actually work. I'd listen again. It kind of sounds like it could be the soundtrack to an edgier Lindsay Lohan movie
-
Bon Iver - Season 5
WHAT! "Hey, Ma" was a 5-week number 1 hit in my chart last year (and is STILL in my playlist), and the album was fantastic. I know I'll be listening to this new one a fair amount in the coming weeks!

Robyn | The Singles Rate
I must remember to do this. Love Robyn.
-
The Strokes - The New Abnormal
Grows with each listen, really good album. Really not getting the poor/average reviews at all. Seems the few of us that have given it a go are in agreement as well!

Spotify Chart Thread [April 2020]
Thanks - interesting (and a shame) that "At The Door" is missing. The album gets better with each listen, fingers crossed for a number 1 for them.
