Oh I really quite like this on first listen!

We must be due a "Sex On Fire"/"Use Somebody" type hit soon. Tbf I felt indie was quietly on the rise last year with lots of fresh new takes on it plus a load of bands from the 00s wave releasing albums, including a comeback from Razorlight. Hopefully this means in 2019 we'll see a grow in indie influence on the charts. Good start for Catfish!!

Quite enjoyed Dermot Kennedy's album on first listen this week. My other half is loving "For Island Fires And Family" at the moment, while I really like "Power Over Me". Though sometimes I think he sounds more like an edgier Brian McFadden than say, a Damien Rice that I think he'd more like to be compared with... :lol:

Not as good as Mall, but at this point last year I hated that and I don’t hate this on first listen. It’s fairly decent. It should stand out. On 2nd listen I really quite like it tbh

"I Always Want To Die (Sometimes)" is really starting to hit me now :wub: They've already had 3 #2 hits and 1 #1 in my hot 100 from this album. Very consistent. Oddly I haven't given the album much time yet, only 2 or 3 listens.

This is too vague a question... do you mean tracks that we would have otherwise bought if streaming didn't exist? Even then it really depends on how much I like the track... could be 10-20 plays, could be well over 100.

Hadn't realised this had a thread! I'll definitely be paying more attention to this from now on. I do enjoy dance anthems when I get the chance to tune in.

I think many of us can be guilty of the odd post without substance. Maybe I’m just paying less attention at the moment.
