FISHER - Losing It
I’d love to see this become a hit, love it, but it may just perform similar to the Weiss track Feel My Needs unfortunately. Another one that deserved to be a big hit. I miss when dance made a proper impact.

John Legend - A Legendary Christmas
Has it done anything anywhere? I’ve been enjoying Bring Me Love!
-
Rudimental - Toast To Our Differences
Liking this new track. To be fair, if I ignored what I loved Rudimental for in the past, and if this was a new act this year with all the tunes they've put out from this campaign, I'd quite possibly be looking forward to the album.

Australia (Australia Decides) · Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Ironic way of putting it, LexC ;) Just offering an opinion on one of the topical acts. We can’t all like the same things.

Australia (Australia Decides) · Eurovision Song Contest 2019
If Courtney does win I'm not sure she'd make it to the contest tbf as that head might spontaneously combust at the announcement of winning the national final...

Avicii
Thanks for the info - not seen it myself either - must give it a watch.

Will Young - Lexicon
That clip does actually sound promising, and everyone is right, "Jealousy" was excellent.

Julie McDermott - Don’t Go (Gerd Janson Re-Work)
Like this, thought it sounded early 90s so not surprised to read that it’s a reworking!

Janelle Monáe ‘Dirty Computer’
Good! Definitely one of the best albums of the year. Was American ever confirmed as a single?

M.O & Chip - Wondering
Well that's awkward (and very sad) news just as I was getting into this. Really though, what's the use speculating what did and didn't happen. None of us were there. She will do her time for the unfortunate crime and get on with her life. 8 months isn't so long and M.O can recover from that. Hell, it feels like it was 8 months between "Bad Vibe" and "Wondering". And whether 8 months is long enough is something we'll never know but from what Jack's said above she's shown deep remorse for it.

Your favourite indie track of 2018?
James Bay - Pink Lemonade is my top chart performer from Indie/Rock/Alternative genre! A top, energetic indie pop number. qE-gdNIL8WI Nb: haven't included Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes in this given just how poppy that is!
-
Razorlight - Olympus Sleeping
This album has become a favourite of the year for me the past couple of weeks. Not one bad track, all have that retro 00s indie feeling, but in a refreshing way. And "Carry Yourself" is excellent, my new number 1 this week

Would be nice to have a traditional January dance hit with this one! Really liking it.

Spotify Chart Thread 2018 [VII - December]
I can't spot (albeit in a long list) any of this year's Christmas songs in the Spotify chart... I'd like to see John Gibbons ft Nina Nesbitt "A Spaceman Came Travelling", John Legend "Bring Me Love" and Aloe Blacc "Funky Ass Christmas" do something. Also disappointed not to see Sia's "Ho Ho Ho" in that list! A couple of others are though, as well as Gwen Stefani's Christmas single from last year, so that is something...

Sia - Everyday Is Christmas
"Ho Ho Ho" is my jam from the album! A favourite again this December

Chris Malinchak & Kiesza present Malinkiesza
Not heard 3 Hos yet but listened to the other Christmas one yesterday. I've really realised in 2018 just how screechy and irritating Kiesza's voice is... I had "Hideaway" and "Giant In My Heart" in my road trip playlist for Australia and every time they came on, her voice went right through me - used to love both tracks. Her output this year has been diabolically cringey as well. What's this all about? Was she always this dire in the first place?

Your top 5 favourite albums of 2018
AS IT STANDS... the 5 contenders are, in chronological order of release: Justin Timberlake - Man Of The Woods George Ezra - Staying At Tamara's Janelle Monáe - Dirty Computer Snow Patrol - Wildness Robyn - Honey Just missing out at the moment would be James Bay, Christine and the Queens, Isaac Gracie and Panic! At The Disco, while I've also enjoyed album releases this year from Blossoms, Razorlight, Vance Joy, Shawn Mendes, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Years & Years, Mariah Carey as well as Camila Cabello, Lily Allen, Ariana Grande, Troye Sivan, Imagine Dragons. Pnau's album "Changa" I'm also rating this year, though it was released before, I also listened a lot to Imagine Dragons "Evolve" as well as classics "Hybrid Theory", "Meteora" and "One More Light" by Linkin Park, "Enema Of The State", "Take Off Your Pants And Jacket", "blink-182" and "California" by blink-182, "My Favourite Faded Fantasy" by Damien Rice, "Cleopatra" by The Lumineers" and "Blue Neighbourhood" by Troye Sivan. The 1975 album is too new for me to decide yet. Definitely the biggest year for me album wise, I've really embraced them in a year that my life has transformed.

Clean Bandit - What Is Love?
1. We literally JUST had a number 1 album from The Prodigy 2. They have very much morphed into a pop act! Only "Tears" and a little lesser extent "Symphony" can really be considered dance this era.
-
Mark Ronson ft. Miley Cyrus - Nothing Breaks Like A Heart
Playing it now, paying much more attention than I had been on the previous 3 listens (all when getting ready for work) - this is great!
