  1. Class! Are there viral videos? Only 7th on the betting odds at the moment.
  2. ^^ why's it gone viral due to coronavirus (if you'll pardon the pun)? Just had another listen and it is definitely a front runner for me tbf.
  3. Imagine how "Amar Pelos Dois" might've done with no crowd? Think they had a huge contribution to its success! (In the possible instance of a no crowd Eurovision, of course)
  4. It just has nothing about it does it? Has he lowered the key for the live performance too? There are no notes to put much effort in for. This is going to stand out zero amounts, will we even get a point from televotes? Will juries like this over the others? Think our saving grace is a poor field to pitch against but I still think we are in for a bottom 5 finish if not last.
  5. You been listening to the entries from 2016? :D
  6. This is like Aqua on acid
  7. Switch Mariana for Deep Zone and that'd be the same Bulgarian top 5 for me! Also couldn't stand "Samo Shampioni" and still don't really get "Water" either...
  8. Good point - I see these like albums - to be consumed in a certain order due to a specific reason. However Hot Hits (or our own compilation equivalents) are not. I did however used to create compilation CDs for Mum's car when I was younger and there was a science to working out the exact ordering to that as well as the CD wouldn't be on shuffle!
  9. Alfa Romeo: Raikkonen [Q, R] vs Giovinazzi Alpha Tauri: Gasly [Q] vs Kvyat [R] Ferrari: Vettel [Q, R] vs Leclerc Haas: Grosjean [Q] vs Magnussen [R] McLaren: Norris [Q] vs Sainz Jr [R] Mercedes: Hamilton [Q, R] vs Bottas Racing Point: Perez [Q, R] vs Stroll Red Bull: Albon vs Verstappen [Q, R] Renault: Ricciardo [Q, R] vs Ocon Williams: Latifi vs Russell [Q, R] Pole position: Hamilton Race winner: Hamilton Fastest Lap. Verstappen
  10. This is the first entry I've heard that's really pricked my ears, think this is a strong entry! Not sure if it's my favourite yet.
  11. I think I need to hear it in better quality before I make up my mind. Love Damien and his voice but found the whole thing to be hard to pick up when listening to that YouTube copy.
  12. So approx 80% of people shuffle compilation playlists such as Hot Hits - the ordering of the playlist therefore doesn't matter much, sure the top songs will get a bit more visibility but the increase in exposure is quite minimal based on those stats. @Bjork you might find that interesting :P
  13. Tangela posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
I definitely prefer Echo to Spirit, but I'm more shocked to read that Spirit has outsold 19 this century! Is it close?
  14. I'm enjoying the EP more and more on each listen, would agree with Bre on the standouts, but "Ecstasy" in particular is a good lead too. "Tondo" and "Etran" are really enjoyable. The EP flows really well.
  15. To be fair, Ireland haven't been up to much have they in this time period... Dustin the Turkey would probably be at least in my top 10 for them  Think I'd rank them with Ryan at first by quite a way, then Niamh by quite a way, then Jedward (Lipstick) which really is quite a cringe thing to admit... to be fair, Cann-Lin and Ryan Dolan weren't bad either so they'd be up there for me too.
  16. Based on your Birgit comment I'm looking forward to seeing where Pernilla places, though on typing this I just remembered that's actually in Swedish - though you still very rarely hear that! I think Finnish is one of the most beautiful languages when coupled with music - along with Icelandic, and Estonian sounds nice too (based on Randajad).
  17. A few questions I'm curious to know the consensus for! If you have any further input please add a post. - Do you (usually) play compilation playlists such as Hot Hits in order or on shuffle? - Do you (usually) create your own playlists? - Do you (usually) listen to ready-made compilation playlists? - What determines what you add to your own playlists? - Do you usually listen to artist albums, EPs and mixtapes? - Do you use apps such as Shazam to inform your listening selection? - Do you feel ready-made/curated playlists skew musical tastes and the charts?
  18. It sounds like Estonia 2001 had a reboot. Well that won?
  19. Guaglione by Perez 'Prez' Prado & His Orchestra in the 90s?
  20. Completely missed this! Good track!
  21. "Overtime" was released early October 2018 and "Adore You" mid February 2019 so pretty standard gap between singles really (about 4 months). "Mirage" wasn't out until early November 2019 - she could've gotten pregnant and had a baby between "Adore You" and that! :D It's an era now anyway where we can just tack it on at the end of the album if we want. I very rarely tend to listen to the deluxe version of an album but this could be an exception (it'd surely be on a deluxe edition). "Spotlight" itself is glorious, gets better on each listen, a return to the A* grade of "Overtime" and "Adore You" (I'd give "Mirage" a B).
  22. The Gaga song is growing with each listen. On first listen it sounded like something that'd be used in a montage scene. If I'm honest I was expecting her to come back with a barnstormer somewhere between "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" (Mark Ronson/Miley Cyrus) and "Physical" (Dua Lipa) and "Blinding Lights" (The Weeknd). Glad it's a grower anyway and hope she does well with it! The release of the week though is undoubtedly "Spotlight" by Jessie Ware. If that can make the top 100 that'd be great :D
  23. Pretty interesting take. Not sure how often I'd visit any of these singularly but as a group together it should be a good coherent piece of work.
  24. It's crazy to think that the last time we had a hot streak was 97-99. Barely anything since has been above par.
  25. I am beyond unpleasured by the exclusion of "Overtime", the best upbeat song of her career to date! Looking forward to this nevertheless.
