but consider UP "only" sold 5.5 million copies in the US so even her record sales per albums have declined very drastic..

there is no artist right now, who has the ability to sell 20m.. just look at mariah, madonna, or even justin timberlake and nelly furtdo.. both have the best charting albums for the last 12 months and justin is nearing 7m and nelly 6m. And both had amazing chartruns around the world.
  4. she's madonna still top 20 in germany (#19 i think this week)

ehm the biggest selling albums recently were: Breakaway/ X&Y 10.5 million, Back to Bedlam 11.5 million, American Idiot 13 million.. USHER's Confessions 15 million.. i think that the years of 20m+ sellers are def over. Reaching 10m these days is a very mega achievement. most albums will sell between 3-5 million copies every album that sells more must be seen as a MEGA success comparable to album that reached 20m 10 years ago. This era should be called POST USHER/ POST 2005 era. Until 2005 album sales of over 10m were achieveable now they are almost impossible.

I guess Jive has shipped 7.000.000 copies of it now. So its def. the best selling albums by a male solo artist since its release in 2006.
  7. #4 in germany is a BIG failure for them.. their last albums always sold 500k-1m in germany.. this one won't reach 2x platinum i guess..(would be 400.000).
  8. its still very shocking to see avril selling sooooo great in japan such sales only always had mariah carey in in the 90's..
  9. Rudebox is only currently charting in 2 european markets Italy: #63 (#72) 26 weeks now 1 week #1, 4 weeks in Top 10 Germany: #74 (#59) 26 weeks now 3 weeks #1, 5 weeks Top 10

  11. this is so amazing. Hopefully ppl realise how great and talented he is and will buy his next album again (especially in UK, France and Australia, where rudebox did extremely worse for his standards).

  15. one part of me really wants rob to rejoin with them, but then i think that i didn't like robbie at take that when i was younger, i became a rob hardcore fan because of his solo projects and records.. i want rob to do more albums on his own and i want take that to do more albums cause i still love them too.
  16. amazing pictures, he looks so good

  18. no i mean US albums, daydream sold more (soundscan and music clubs) as music box but both shipped the same (its time for daydream to get its 11x plat cert..) + daydreams singles did MUCH better than music box' singles in the US so thats basically why daydream is included to that list and not music box. btw i think well music box sold 26.000.000 copies globally, but sales say nothing about quality music box def is one of mariahs weakest albums, daydream is MUCH better.. her best album def is butterfly followed by her debut, daydream, mimi and charmbracelet..
  19. THis weeks Charts Rudebox Ger: #44 SUI: #74 AUT: #68 SWE: #45 ITA: #56 FRA: out NED: (last week #43) no new charts yet [sales] ~5.890 copies, globally ~9.500

folklore is her best album to date lyrically the best songs on it are: powerless, explode, try, picture perfect (LOOOOOOOOOOVE IT), and childhood dreams.. BTW folklore was a MEGA sucess in germany selling over 500.000 copies.
  21. it WILL get a 2x platinum cert in the US but i think that this is not that good for an album like this.. Loose is the best R&B release by a female artist of 2006 and i wanted this album to become a mega seller.. it looks as if this album will stop selling at 6m globally.
  22. Did u all just realize that TEOM has sold the same or even more than the biggest albums by PINK, Alicia Keys or Avril Lavigne in the US? The last number i have is 5.751.000 for the album and its certified 6.000.000 (6x platinum). Did you just realize that there will be no other artist or album in the US who could overtake or reach this success cause of shrinking album sales and cd sales collapse in the US this year? The only current artist who seems to come close to MIMI is Carry Underwood, her latest album sold 5.1m in the US so far, still 700.000 to go. Did you realize that this album is the highest certified album since USHER's Confessions and will prob stay this for a couple of years now? POST USHER era, best selling albums in the US 1. The Emancipation of MImi 5,7 2. Breakaway 5,5 3. Speakerboxx/The love Below 5,5 4. American Idiot 5,3 5. The Massacre 5,2 6. Some Heart 5,1
