the Uk should really be glad to see one of their artists to become the biggest foreign solo performer of the deacde in nearly EVERY european country. RW really is the UK only current World Mega Star... I think if rob waits 2-3 years to release the next studioalbum that his career will def recover-.- although i don't want to wait so long to hear something new, he should really do it. His next album - the swing album- will prob also fail to match previous sales.

okay i checked ifpi.de germany: there only 4 TT albums have been certified: Everything Changes: 1x platinum 500.000 Nobody Else: 1x gold 250.000 Greatest Hits: 1x platinum 500.000 Beautiful World: 1x platinum 200.000 (!) 1.450.000 albums sold from 1993-2007, their debut album sold 100.000 at most so 1.550m for germany singles: Babe: 1x gold 250.000 Back For Good: 1x gold 250.000 Patience: 1x gold 100.000 (!) 600.000 singles sold in germany.. other singles that charted but are not certified: 900.000 =1.500.000 singles were sold between 1992-2007, =3.050.000 records were sold from 1992-2007 in germany

are there any ifpi.org european certs for their albums available? From what i've seen i only could get to 9-10m albums sold.. but i guess they haven't sold 15m singles??

i can't remember that any of their (Westlife) albums sold in excess of like 250.000 copies in germany.. so 8m in worldwide sales are very unlikely

No one would have bet that they would get that successful again.. They sold 1.4m copies after the 1st single with their new album, 2 no. #1 singles and a total outsold UK and Europe Tour. They must do another album in 2008. They are just as successful in UK as they have been at their peak in UK and have still quite good success outside the UK. (an est. 350.000 albums of beautiful world have been sold outside the UK so far).

Take That have sold an estimative 15m albums (2m with their last one) worldwide and about 5m singles, make 20m records sold for Take That. I don't know if Westlife have sold more albums worldwide or singles. btw TT are named the Beatles of the 90's and the most successful british band after the beatles (in the 90's). But they are obvisouly overtaken by the spice girls by now, who have sold nearly 45m albums worldwide.
