  1. Chandelier was made for an arena environment too. It baffles belief that they didn't opt for it.
  2. Well I've caught up on tonight's show and whilst I loved Saara, those were not the song choices she needed at this stage, and it's Oh So Quiet certainly isn't. It's baffling that they'd even consider it considering the absolute rave reviews her recent performances have deservedly received. BH was every bit as disjointed as I feared. It just doesn't work shortened like that. That said, I can't wait to see her performances just to see what she can pull out of the bag.
  3. Well I'm missing the first half of the final tonight due to a staff party but expect a drunken, tearful post at 1AM whether she leaves or progresses to tomorrow night.

Devastated at the presumed lack of Becca/A.L.L.I.E. this season. I loved the actress.
  5. Sara's song is incredible even if I'm not sure it's necessarily a vote getter. She'll be fantastic especially if it's anything like that guy who sang it on America's Got Talent this year. I assume that's why the song has found itself in The X Factor song selections. I wonder if 5AM will do the tour version with the slow start before popping off 30 seconds in. At least Matt can't sound that much worse than old Jess herself. As long as he reigns it in a bit.
  6. A mental image of famed homosexual trailblazer Sam Smith and "prolapsed anus" was not one I needed this evening.
  7. I cackled. Why on earth they even considered Sam Smith when it would have led to some sort of hideous falsetto duet battle I'll never know. That said, it may have been so unlistenable it would have given Saara an extra push.
  8. Dreading BH especially in the limited song lengths of X Factor...
  9. Low key hoping for 'A Little Peace'. Give me that German, acoustic bop that I love. *Please don't.
  10. Yeah, Waterloo would be an absolutely disastrous choice for her and I hope someone, anyone, would step in before that becomes a reality. Euphoria, on the other hand, is the closest the ESC has come to a monster, breakout hit in many, many years and marries Saara's great Euro-cheese with some modern and marketable. I may not live past this weekend. I'm so damned excited for her.
  11. Low-key dreading who they'll saddle Saara with for a duet. Fearing Robbie.
  12. But Abi did serve us some great Alison Moyet. Poorly admittedly.
  13. That was ruthless. Emily showing more personality now than she ever did on stage.
  14. Emily doing Birdy and showing how not unique her whole schtick is.
  15. It's not really an 'X Factor' performance song. It doesn't really go anywhere except the last 0 seconds and if you don't sell them, it just falls flat.
  16. Surely, surely unless Saara is handed a couple of duds next week, she has this in the bag? Low-key hoping Gaga wears that fake head atop of her own again.
  17. Saara's reaction was a low-key version of my own.
  18. Simon really did a number on Matt last night but I thought it would rally his fans.
  19. Very 'teenage girl forced to do an uptempo and praised to high heavens for managing to walk' performance.
  20. Fun fact, have sang 'Steakhouse' a few too many times today.
  21. Yes totally. If she had performed the same song even three weeks ago, it would've been entirely different. That, on the other hand, felt like a genuine attempt at giving her a push for the final.
  22. I'm quite shocked she wasn't descending from a massive chandelier knowing Brian Friedman.
  23. It felt like her 'Listen'...
  24. Take my weave. Take it. It's yours, hen.
  25. Operation: Save Emily.
