Still i find it hard to believe they did 24 million of records outside the UK. They've sold around 16 million in the UK along(10 million albums and around 6 million singles), i highly doubt Philippines, Malaysia,Korea and the rest asian countries where Westlife were big all consider Third World countries with an underdeveloped music market, so its unlikely they've sold there that much.Where they popular anywhere else? Europe,Us, Canada? No,no and No.Australia? Only one album "Face To Face".So this 40 million figure is bull$h!t. So,16 million of records in the UK.And around 15 million outside the UK. Total sales-+30 million.

De Niro, you contradict yourself then. How could they sell 40 mil if since 2003 its about 2 million worldwide average per album? 2x7=14 million. Does it mean WL have sold the rest 25 million in 3 years?(2000-2003) Oh, God.. Their management as pathetic as they're. Why would inflate their sales so much?Does Simon have an inferiority complex or something?

Ok, Wl do have more number one singles, bu who cares? Its not an absolute record in the Uk and they're hardly better than Abba or Madonna or Rolling Stones, you know. Their number ones were nothing more than Simon Cowell's wit and their manipulations with release dates. Sadly, Westlife have always been about strategy. And people feel something FAKE about them. Maybe thats why they're so much hated??What do you think,Charis? As for sales, there's just no way on earth they've sold more records worldwide! That's Take Thats territory. 110 mil (combined), baby. You just can't compete with this ))) By the way, Take That were absolutely PHENOMENAL last night. Howard KILLED it with Never Forget. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

   at all those Pestlife fans. Jealous much? Phenomenal sales for Take That regardless whether they could beat Oasis or not.Who would have thought it 5 years ago? They became one of the biggest bands EVER.

I predict +600k for the opening week. It wont break Oasis record( 800k in 7 days) sadly. However it might be close.

That's too low for Robbie and TT album, don't you think? And,mind you,i don't only mean the hype surrounding them at the moment, i mean the album itself is absolutely brilliant to sell as much as Beautiful World( or even more)

Ain't gonna happen. Progress will do just as good as 2 previous albums if no better. The Circus- 2,1 million Beautiful World- 2,7 million I for one do believe Progress sales will be close to 3 million.

19 Uk number ones- 2 Garys, 6Robbies and 11 TTs.

What about Westlifes 45 million?

OMG, look at all those Oasis fans popping into this thread

    On its first day?
  13. locott posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
    Imagine if that's true.. OMFG
  14. Westlife also have had more number ones than George Michael and Elton and Madonna in the Uk. :lol:Chart positions are just numbers. Thanks to Simon Cowell, he really knows well when grannies are ready to spend their money on presents for their friends.
  15. People who follow chart statistics for years know that those figures exaggerated by their management to rise their profile.Of course this is no true. They haven't sold 40 mil let alone 45mil. Pathetic ,don't they?

This is exactly what i meant!!!!!!! If TT performed last week, they'd have their 12 number one in the bag...Oh,well.
  17. locott posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
TT outshined everyone else tonight. brilliant!

JLS's song is SO horrible. It doesn't deserve to be number one at all. It will be though.
  19. Should break The Circus first week sales then.
  20. First of all,The Flood felt then went up again as far as i am aware. Secondary, only time will tell whether it's going to have a "dire" chart run or not. Me personally think the song is fantastic enough to stick around for quite some time.

Well, sales will be high anyway..It's like Rule The World part 2 all over again. And yes, i think it's still unprecedented considering there was NO promo at all for the single. TT Itunes Takeover advert everyone's talking about was for the ALBUM not for the single. If only they were on X factor last week, it would DEFINITELY go straight to number one. Oh well, the album will be MASSIVE instead.
  22. locott posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
That's what i was going to say. Both Wstlife and Jls will benefit from TT being on the same show as ratings will be absolutely unprecedented because of Take That.
  23. Greatest Day, Patience, Shine have sold just about the same amount first week, they were just lucky to go to number one unlike The Flood,so nothing new here, but Beautiful World, The Circus were still massive sellers. I am confident Progress will be bigger. Take That will smash it with their album.
  24. locott posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Its still number 2 on mid weeks and I am more than sure the gap between TT and Rihanna are not that big as some of you can imagine. Itunes is not the only place where people can download their music from, you know.Besides, TT are probably selling well on physicals.
  25. locott posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Yes, technically NO promo. TT getting the press coverage and massive airplay is a normal thing for a new hot release. I blame Polydor really, they have totally f***ed it all up by bringing the release date forward. Yes, people might know TT are releasing new stuff, but they might also not know whether its 15, 22 or whatever. I am sure The Flood will outsell Jls and Westlife, because, at the end of the day, sales are more important than chart positions.
