Sheena Easton's theme to the 1981 James Bond film is here along with the only top 40 single by the German group Mr. President. Sandstorm was the first of six consecutive top 10 hits for Cast. Sugababes lose the last of their three songs.

Run DMC's 1986 cover featured Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from the group. A further cover by Sugababes vs. Girls Aloud took the song to number 1 in 2007. Also from that year, Heavyweight Champion Of The World was one of just two top 40 hits for Reverend and The Makers. Lily Allen has one song of her own still left in.

The other four songs are all from 1988 to 1992. We have the Beautiful South's follow-up to their number 2 hit 'Song For Whoever', the first of three top 10 hits by Deacon Blue, the last of seven consecutive top 10 singles by Jason Donovan and Erasure's eleventh top 10 hit.

I Don't Want A Lover from 1989 was Texas' debut single. They would have to wait another eight years for their next top 10 hit, 'Say What You Want'.

From 1987, April Skies is the highest peaking single for The Jesus And Mary Chain. Iran is represented here by Sharam with his interpolation of the Eddie Murphy song.

Yes, it should have 15 but it was too fiddly for me to adjust the scores of all the people who changed their votes after dropping Donna Summer so some song's scores might be out by one point. I've checked the scores of all the songs near the cutoff point to make sure they are correct after any adjustments to people's votes. One person just swapped I Feel Love for a new song so that one was added to the scoreboard.
