  1. Step One could have had another 3 singles from it - Back To You, Love You More and My Heart Will Love Again are all single worthy. Steptacular could have had Never Say Never Again released and Buzz could have had Paradise Lost and Buzzz. So I guess it's needless to say that Tears on the Dancefloor could still have milage with Glitter and Gold, No More Tears and September Sun. And it wasn't like Steps were like S Club and released barely any singles off an album. They always had roughly 6 singles released off each album already.
  2. I hate to say it but I'd say Dancing With A Broken Heart too. It could be because of it still being very new and arguably the less known song on the entire tour setlist. Happy didn't get the strongest of reactions either, but No More Tears seemed to really work and I was surprised how well Neon Blue went down and Scared of the Dark's reaction was like if it was from 2001. Story of a Heart got an ok reaction I think.
  3. Sean who came 3rd on X Factor back on the 4th series of X Factor back in 2007 with his sister Sarah in Same Difference is now solo! He's already released 2 solo singles and has announced he will be releasing his 3rd single "Fire" on 2nd November: https://www.instagram.com/p/BabBx-eD1Tc/ His first single Turn Me On 18wHQWatNTI His second single Magic eAWNr26PSYs And looks like he's been working out
  4. It's so strange to see all these incredible women in this list but no sign of Madonna.
  5. Same as me  Though once the album is released I'm sure my top 10 will be the album!
  6. Come on STEPS!!!
  7. See I don't think Heartbeat resonates with the public because Tragedy overtook it. I think Heartbeat is one of those that when it's played on the music channels at Christmas people think "oh yeah that one" I do think in terms of videos people think of Love's Got A Hold On My Heart too because of the yellow outfits but possibly not the song itself, if that makes sense.
  8. In public consciousness it probably goes: 5,6,7,8/Tragedy One For Sorrow Deeper Shade of Blue It's the Way You Make Me Feel Stomp
  9. Knightr634 posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Take That are obvious ones to think of when they came back with Patience in 2006 which made #1 10 years after How Deep Is Your Love made #1 in 1996.
  10. Oooh, hopefully 5,6,7,8 will officially be Gold imminently. Would be wonderful if they were award the Gold and 2XPlatinum awards together in time for the new album release for lovely pictures of the band to be taken with their awards.
  11. How did I forget them!! Facepalm! And I loved Maria when it came out in 1999 lol! And Queen I missed as well! I'm bad! Still if they get it, they would be joining quite an epic list!
  12. Not only that, I'm pretty sure the only bands to have #1 singles in 3 consecutive decades are Take That (though the 3rd decade doesn't have all members) and The Bee Gees. If anyone knows of any other band let me know!
  13. S Club 7 were I guess seen as the bigger band, I guess mainly as they had fewer singles but the singles they did release there was a period when it went #1 #1 #1 #2 whereas Steps had many more singles, but two hit #1 and there was a gap of nearly 2 years between those. I think S Club may have been bigger internationally too, but not sure. Album wise, I don't think any of S Club albums came close to the numbers Steps made, in 1999 Steps sold more albums (Step One and Steptacular) then any other British band and they were a tour-de-force when it came to touring. So although at first glance S Club 7 seemed the bigger band, the reality is they weren't really. Anyway, I'm over the moon Steps are #1 on ITunes. If my dreams came true, and they were #1 officially, I'm pretty sure they would be the first boy/girl ever to have #1 singles in 3 consecutive decades.
  14. For some reason the way he's released two songs at the same time (like the old days of double A-sides) I can't help but think of Victoria Beckham's Let Your Head Go/This Groove. Just obviously more successfully.
  15. Albums: Steps - Stomp All Night Long The Remix Anthology
  16. It sounds amazing! This is her Celine moment!
  17. I still wish it was the Alphaville Forever Young, I'm sure it would have lasted longer (and may have brought the original back in the charts)
  18. What a really strange coincidence (I didn't watch it). I've just been listening to some of his stuff on youtube and decided to buy the album. But glad Heroes is back, hope it continues to rise!
  19. Ooh that's really strange, I bought his album just a few hours ago on ITunes. Is there a reason why Heroes has risen?
  20. It would be quite funny One Direction getting Christmas #1. With the irony being, they're an X Factor act and in hindsight should have won against Matt Cardle - who had his Christmas #1 with his winners single. But somehow, if they get it, they would be deserving of it. They are the biggest band in the world and have gone on to achieve what the X factor has promised - a worldwide star. And it would be very poetic for an X Factor act to end it all for X Factor, and be it with their last single I'd still prefer Kylie to come out of nowhere and snatch it though (or Mariah/Pogues/ Shaky Stevens)
  21. Christ Louisa down to #4 - imagine if she's not even top 40 next week!
  22. Everytime I see the title "Forever Young" I want it to be the Alphaville song and alas get solely disappointed knowing it's not.
  23. Do you mean in relation to the current charts or the whole of it? cos I'm pretty sure Billie Piper was #1 when she was 15 with Because We Want To and Girlfriend (and 18 with Day and Night) X Factor winners singles look like they've gone the way of charity singles where no one is really caring or buying them anymore (the song itself really has to connect), Little Mix have managed to survive Cannonball and Word Up so hopefully Louisea will get over this.
  24. I think the X Factor was a good way to end the Hello campaign really, it's been such a massive song and hadn't up until this point had a big spectacle type performance which the X Factor gave it. And the next day look what happens: https://twitter.com/billboardbiz/status/676476523889729537 When We Were Young is confirmed as the 2nd single - marking the beginning of the next phase of the campaign.
  25. Was ITunes around then?
