how much of a sales increase (is it over 900,000?)

Not really surprised at all, if you consider all the albums that have ever been released, of course they'll be alot that won't sell 1 copy in 2008

Easily The Loving Kind for me

Well as its the 8th highest selling album of 2008 - it would have had to have sold at least 563,000 copies to get there - which is what the #8 was last week!

Out of Control sticks at #5 this week while Sound of Girls Aloud goes rught up to #45 this week! (up from #61 - its 24th week in the top 75)

The Promise moves up 5 places to #14 in this weeks chart! The Loving Kind is down 8 places to #46 - 2nd week in the top 75

Well done Alex for her 2nd week at #1 and also being the highest selling single of this year! (Its the 1st time since Will Young's Evergreen that a winners single has been the highest selling of the year)

Is that the highest they've been in the end of year?

Still #5 is brilliant! Really hope OOC can make 10 weeks in the top 10!

Is 3.7 million good for a TOTP Christmas special. I know its in the top 15 watched on christmas day. I had hoped it would be enough for the BBC to decide to bring back the show permanantly

Well after next week the christmas songs will drop out of the charts which will help move TLK up anyway and hopefully it will grow momentum as well! And The Promise has done so well! only another 80,000 and it'll reach 400,000 which is GOLD

Like Top of the Pops (especially in the heyday) was a promotional tool, like GMTV is a promotional tool, like music channels are a promotional tool - do you know what - lets ban all music being played so the system is fair
