I think the song itself in it's genre isn't that bad, but it just doesn't seem Jordin and to be honest she looks in part uncomfortable in the video.

Although Firestarter and Solider came in at #9 and #17, Firestarter still went Platinum, has nearly 2 million hits on youtube (which for an Australian only act is really good) and won an Aria for best video. Solider has also gone Gold and hung around the top 50 for quite some time, which for a #17 peak is pretty good, as most of the time those sort of singles don't normally hang around for so long. I fully expected it be in and out in a couple of weeks. Samantha's profile has also risen due to the INXS tv film and there seems to be a lot of good will behind her. They really should release the album a couple of weeks after Up! It's so frustrating!!

Steps were probably seen as going to be a one hit wonder when 5,6,7,8 came out. But then they just went bigger with each new single and then of course Heartbeat/Tragedy happened!
