  1. I didn't even know it was being released until I saw this and checked Itunes and it's #38!! I didn't think it would be top 200! Might get this :D
  2. I don't suppose Leona's EP will be made a physical cd release will it?

hmm, I'm surprised Jesse J isn't on there - what with The Voice about to come and all. And hopefully they'll show the Jools Holland showing of Someone Like You. It would sort of seem wrong not to have the biggest selling single/album/artist on TOTP - unless there's a new years one too Case in point - there's not many women performing this year is there?
  4. But even then, if you pay for an album at £9 in 2010 - you then pay 99p per new track in 2011 - you've spent what could range from £10 - £18. Or you wait and get the deluxe album and get all the 2010 and 2011 tracks for £9 - or you wait longer after the deluxe album has been released and been out for a while and pay £5. The other problem with this is the anticipation has then gone, you wonder if you really want the album at all, and then you lose a sale
  5. I know for me, I have really slowed down on the albums I buy this year. Infact I've only bought Steps Ultimate Collection, Same Difference - The Rest Is History and I have Darren Hayes - Secret Codes and Battleships on it's way. There are a ton of albums I want though - I still haven't bought Adele, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, Take That, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Nicola Roberts and there's a whole host of new albums coming up that I want. There's two main reasons why I haven't been buying albums - firstly the cost - I am refusing to buy albums for £8 or £9 and then in a few months time they get knocked down to half the price. I would rather wait till that happens, then buy an album full price and then think to myself, damn i could have saved myself a fiver. The other reason is I get sick of buying albums and then a year later they are re-released, sometimes with 8 new songs it - think Take That, Lady Gaga etc. I've got to a point now, that I'll probably buy an artists album once they've moved onto their next knowing full well it's not going to have a re-release.

That, and IF this did chart, it would ruin their consecutive top 5 streak
  7. Album #1 on ITUNES!!!

YES YES YES!!! And I GOT TO MEET THEM ALL TODAY!!! Went down to This Morning!! I am so happy I can not tell you! Had such a brilliant time and made new friends too! WAHHH!!! Got the album signed by Faye and Lee, hugged and had a pic taken with Claire, I didn't get to speak to H and Lisa - there were so many people and I'm only little!
  9. I get what you mean dannjohn3 but you've got to look at it from their point of view - 3 of them went from having a massively successful job, to none at all. Going from earning millions, to earning nothing and having to start back up again. It's easy to forget how huge they really were. Very few acts can manage the consistency in sales of records, and they were at the top of their game when it came to touring. I think it was the space of 3 years (from the theatre tour to the steps into christmas tour) that they managed 1 million concert tickets. And sometimes the more successful you are, the harder the fall is.
  10. I think what they mean is, Olly said he would strip IF he got to #1 - he did get to #1, so he fulfilled what he said he would do In someways thats worse, as I'm sure he would have got a few more extra copies sold from his fans to see this, which he may not have got otherwise
  11. Come on Darren Hayes - Black Out the Sun is #442
  12. For me the single order should have been: Alive Someday Soon 1000 Stars Supersensual This Can't Be Love but I do like Not For You and Love Like This as well - Could You Be Loved would have been a good single as well I didn't like All I Have at first, but it is slightly growing me, albeit slowly
  13. STEPS REUNION ON YOUTUBE: Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0LA4cDzScw Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7btmZV0gK0w Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olg7garwSYc Part 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1O4EIWUAyI AND: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/s103/the...n-x-factor.html
  14. I do hope there is an arena tour - and they do the 02 Arena
  15. Looks like Joe McElderry should sell more of Classic than Wide Awake, though its not really best-selling but you get what I mean
  16. There are just no words I can say anymore. This record really is holding the industry together

Wow! So a few shocks today!! I'm thinking Leona may end up being a low top 10 hit by next sunday, and depending whether it gets promotion, it could be a climber. The Saturdays I'm hoping will get to #1, it's still all very up in the air for them and for Pixie Lott too. In some ways I would love Maroon 5 to be #1, but then I've loved the last few weeks where the #1 has been a British artist Red or Black is on throughout the whole of this week isn't it? Does anyone know who else is performing throughout this week?
  18. I thought that too, but can't find a source for a figure. Amended those for Jedward's albums - i've put the total of Victory as of last weeks until we know the official figure. Haven't heard Belle Amie's single will go and have a listen
  19. Thanks for the updates - also Olly Murs debuts at #37 this week and Joe McElderry's album debuts at #25
  20. lol thanks, I've edited it out
  21. Ooh i didn't see the post above - I'll go through it all again lol Edit: Andy70's list added to the first page!
  22. We have an update on the top 11!! It would have been an update on the top 20, as 4Music has showed the top 20 Biggest Selling X Factor Hits from now, but I missed 12-20 The top 11 look like this: 01. Alexandra Burke - Halleujah - 1,220,000 02. Shayne Ward - That's My Goal - 1,100,000 03. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love - 1,020,000 04. Matt Cardle - When We Collide - 980,000 05. Leona Lewis - A Moment Like This - 880,000 06. X Factor Finalists 2008 - Hero - 820,000 07. Joe McElderry - The Climb - 800,000 08. Alexandra Burke - Bad Boys - 730,000 09. Leona Lewis - Run - 710,000 10. JLS - Beat Again - 540,000 11. Leon Jackson - When You Believe - 505,000 Interestingly this was the top 11 sales from the last update: 01. Alexandra Burke - Halleujah - 1,210,000 (as of 20/02/2011) 02. Shayne Ward - That's My Goal - 1,095,000 03. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love - 1,005,000 (as of 20/02/2011) 04. Leon Jackson - When You Believe - 500,000 Nice to see Joe McElderry now on 800K, Leona's Run over 700K and Matt is getting closer to that million. Bleeding Love is fast catching up on That's My Goal, but will take a long time to catch Halleujah as they are virtually selling the same. Other notable updates are further down the list, with JLS and Cher Lloyd providing new entries. Future updates are gonna come from Olly Murs - "Heart Skip A Beat", Leona Lewis - "Collide" and One Direction - "What Makes You Beautiful"

I'd say 20 - I'm 24 now and I remember clearly how huge "Believe" was And apparently when i was 5 and "The Shoop Shoop Song" would come on the radio, i used to dance to it lol

So Cher might not be #1 come sunday? Interesting
  25. There was a Buzz tour (it was called Steps Into Christmas though and wasn't released on VHS/DVD) - i don't think Paradise Lost was performed though they did perform It's the Way You Make Me Feel, Stomp, Here and Now, Hand On Your Heart, Learn to Love Again, If You Believe, - and I'm sure Better the Devil You Know and Summer of Love were performed too - don't know about You'll Be Sorry or Turn Around
