  10. R&B Songstress Beyonce Knowles has been selected by American Express to be their latest A-list celebrity rep, reports OK Magazine. Beyoncé joins a list, which includes Tiger Woods, Ellen DeGeneres, Robert De Niro, Kate Winslet, Venus Williams and others to pitch for the financial giant. The “irreplaceable” singer, who already has several endorsement deals under her belt, will front a multi-million dollar ad campaign for AMEX set to be launched later this year. “She’s a role model for so many young people,” says an insider. “She has tremendous cross-over appeal the same way Tiger does. She’s an inspiration for lots of people. She’s a great fit for American Express.” Beyoncé reportedly has already begun working — she's already shot some print advertisements and she'll be in Manhattan on Monday Aug. 6 to film her first commercial for AMEX. Beyoncé released her sophomore album, B'Day, worldwide September 4, 2006. The album spawned the UK number-one singles "Déjà Vu" and "Beautiful Liar", as well as the worldwide number-one hit "Irreplaceable." It also earned Knowles her seventh solo Grammy Award. She is currently in the middle of The Beyonce Experience, her North America concert tour which kicked off in New Orleans last month and ends in Vancouver on Sept. 7. http://www.singersroom.com/news/entertainment-story-987.asp Pics of her filming it this week: http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/341/52813366beyonceknowlesadq0.jpg http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/4817/61599133beyonceknowleszd8.jpg http://i1.uploadem.com/08072007/71084beyonc1.jpg http://i1.uploadem.com/08072007/1234beyonce02jq0.jpg http://i1.uploadem.com/08072007/1234beyonce06cu2.jpg http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/7932/amexcomwi1.png http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/3915/amexcommercialrk7.png ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She renewed her contract with L'oreal, here's the new advert: http://sharebee.com/85a06f66 credit to bounce http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v197/carmy3/thumbs20070810193333.jpg

  15. MTV VMA Nominees Announced: Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Lead The Pack Show will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on September 9. By James Montgomery Del.icio.us Digg Newsvine Send Print You Tell Us The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards are heading to Las Vegas on September 9, and now we know just who we'll be wagering on. Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé lead the pack of nominees for the 24th annual VMAs, each with a whopping seven nods, followed closely by Kanye West and Rihanna with five and newcomer Amy Winehouse with three. JT's "What Goes Around ... " and B's "Irreplaceable" will face off in the Video of the Year category, alongside West's "Stronger," Rihanna's "Umbrella," Winehouse's "Rehab" and — in perhaps the biggest shock of the entire nominations field — French electro duo Justice's "D.A.N.C.E." The awards will be coming to you live from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on September 9 at 9 p.m., with MTV News' preshow beginning at 8 p.m. Timberlake, West, Rihanna and Winehouse will also perform at the event, along with a full house of kings and queens that includes Tmbaland, Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, Lily Allen and the Foo Fighters performing with special guests live from the Palms Fantasy Suites. Timbaland will also be serving as the evening's musical maestro, with superstar DJ Mark Ronson on the decks — and Timbaland and Timberlake will be hosting their own fantasy suite party. Justin will be a pretty busy guy on VMA night, because in addition to being nominated for Video of the Year and performing, he also picked up noms in a trifecta of brand new categories: Male Artist of the Year, Most Earthshattering Collaboration (for his team-up with Timbaland on "Sexyback") and Quadruple Threat of the Year, an award given to boundary-busters who excel in multiple fields (such as music, fashion, philanthropy, business, acting and dance). His videos for "What Goes Around ..." and "Sexyback" were also nominated in three professional categories, the former scoring noms for Best Director and Best Editing, the latter for Best Choreography. Beyoncé also benefited from the addition of new categories, landing nominations for Female Artist of the Year, Earthshattering Collaboration (her hip-shaking turn with Shakira in the "Beautiful Liar" clip) and Quadruple Threat. Like Timberlake, she also dominated the professional categories, as her "Beautiful Liar" video is nominated for Best Director, Editing and Choreography. West has to be happy with his four noms, which include Male Artist of the Year and Quadruple Threat — although if he loses to Justice in the Video of the Year category, like he did at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards (see "Kanye Admits To Having Had A 'Sippy Sippy' (Or Two) Before EMA Rant"), he just might spontaneously combust. Rihanna also got four nods, including Female Artist of the Year, and her "Umbrella" is nominated in another brand-new category: Monster Single of the Year. Winehouse's three nominations make her the most prominent newcomer to the 2007 VMA party, but she's by no means the only fresh face looking to take home some hardware. The Gym Class Heroes are coming to Vegas with a pair of noms under their hoodies — for Best Group (yet another new category) and Best New Artist, where they'll go head-to-head with Winehouse, Carrie Underwood, Lily Allen and Kanye's favorite bunch of whistling Swedes, Peter Bjorn and John. The winner of Best New Artist will be determined by the fans, who can vote for their favorites by visiting www.VMA.MTV.com Other big-name nominees include Akon (for Male Artist and Earthshattering Collaboration), Fall Out Boy (Best Group and Monster Single of the Year), T.I., Robin Thicke and Fergie. BEYONCE TO DEBUT NEW SINGLE AT VMAs We can confirm now that Beyonce will debut her brand-new single at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards on September 9. The same source who gave us news on "Worldwide" has confirmed that Beyonce will take to the stage to perform the first single from new album "Worldwide". The song is an up-tempo club banger called "Dick and Balls". "'Dick and Balls' is very special to me", Beyonce says. "I've gotten a lot of criticism that my music isn't "deep" so for my next project I told myself that I would dig deeper. I was looking for that song to take me to the next level, I was looking for the song that would change my sound, and I couldn't find it, then one day 'Dick and Balls' just hit me in the face. It was there there the whole time, I just had to go deep inside myself and pull it out." "I wrote "Dick and Balls" all by myself in 30 seconds.", Beyonce says. "But I also had a little help from my sister Solange. And Kelly, Michelle, LeToya, Baby Daniel, Sean Garret, my cousin Angie, Bea Arthur, who played Dorothy on the Golden Girls, the cast of Good Times, my 3rd grade art teacher. Oh, and Ne-Yo helped a little also. Although Beyonce has been accused of making songs just for women she says that 'Dick and Balls' is a celebration of a man and his gifts to a woman. Beyonce says: "To me "Dick and Balls' is the celebration of love, life, and romance, and spirit, and freedom, racial equality, deep $h!t like that." "Dick and Balls" was produced by Swizz Beatz, and although he has crafted such Beyonce bangers as "Check On It" and "Get Me Bodied" he admits he was a little nervous to offer Beyonce "Dick and Balls" "I didn't know how she would react to it because it's so different than anything she's ever done before.", Swizz says. "It sounds so different. I didn't know how she would handle "Dick and Balls" so I called Jay-Z and told him to listen to it and get his opinion on it because he knows her the best. So we changed a few things around, and me and Jay spent a couple of days in the studio just messing around with "Dick and Balls" until we felt good about it. Then we called Beyonce and she played around with "Dick and Balls" until she felt comfortable." As with a lot of Beyonce's other songs, several remixes are planned. She called recently married, 100% heterosexual R&B megastar Usher to sing a duet version of the song, and he was more than happy to jump on "Dick and Balls" "I LOVE "Dick and Balls" Usher says. "It's the kind of song that just makes you feel good, and it's a beautifully written song, something that challenged me as a singer. People know me as a great entertainer but I was looking for something that I could sink my teeth into vocally, and I can really sink my teeth into "Dick and Balls." Don't forget to catch Beyonce performing "Dick and Balls" live at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. September 9 at 9PM EST. Beyonce is the leading female entertainer of generation. She was the first African-American woman to win ASCAP's songwriter of the year award, and she was the first artist in history ever to sing a song with "Freakum" in the title. She has won 10 Grammys, a Golden Globe nomination, and although this isn't relevant to anything, she couldn't probably beat your mom in a slap-boxing match. -Beyonceitis http://www.beyonceitis.com LMFAO being as this has come from beyoncetitis I think its safe to say this is a joke :D  http://209.85.12.234/11305/173/emo/rolling.gif
