Banning those languages sounds like a good idea for worldvision tbh (you are indeed correct about my wish for more spanish bops - sad to say that not many people sent that :() ... Hi all. Seeing as we are still missing entries from 6 people I will be extending the deadline by just 23 hours. Your new deadline is: 04.08.24 (23.59 UK Time) I am currently missing entries from: Beaverdonia and Cadelicia. and the pairs of Altyr Muunilinst & Sovarasma and Hinterlandia & Trifoski . I will be accepting late-entries too untill some time early Monday evening (more specifics after I get some sleep lol) - but I would obv prefer to get all the entries before Sunday is over. Voting thread will be up regardless of who has gotten/not gotten their entries in Monday evening. I can not extend the deadline anymore than what I have already done. Sorry.

Sorry for the lateness! Let me quickly try to answer this (I'm a little tired atm so let me know if there is something that does not make sense). Additionally, the deadline has been extended by one day. I completly mixed up the dates for an important event (wedding <3) and won't have the time to do any last minute prep/flag parade/putting up the voting thread on Saturday like I had planed. Therefore, the deadline for confirming your entries will be on Saturday (this means that any entries confirmed on this day won't be looked over until after the deadline has gone by - if you think your entry might be toing the line I would recommend finding a replacement just in case it get's vetoed!) Don't feel bad! I've been made aware that there are more competitions going on (I see that you are already competing in atleast Club Bizarre and BJSC) and I'm assuming that you had to pass on this because of lack of time. If you want to compete I would be happy to work together with you - I'm sure we can figure something out. Just be aware that I have a tendency to do badly in the contests I host :lol: (But seriously, if you do want to compete with me, please let me know asap - either here or by PM) Basically I'm going to find two entries and let everyone judge them as a pair. Meaning: they, unlike the other songs would not be split up in the voting. When voting they will both either get for example 5 points, not one song getting 5 points and the other 1 point - which could be the case for, for example Taahino and Pestolia who will be judged individually. I made this choice on my own so, yeah, totally understand if people don't want this to be a thing? If that is the case I don't mind random.org'ing myself into a pair - or letting Zanmatony join in on the fun if he has time. (SOS bré/mods) B-Side is a song that is promoted as an "extra/bonus song" to the single, no? Assuming the song in question has not gone on to chart in the top 20, and did not go on to be very well known in gerneral or go on to be a forum fave it should be fine, I think? Again, this is a spin-off so the rules are slightly more relaxed, and I will be judging the entries on a case-by-case scenerio.

Below the guidelines you will find the pairs – you will be working with your partner this coming week, so cleaning up your PM folder might be smart! 🏹Guidelines🏹 🏹) No UK Top 20s (songs that have charted lower may still be vetoed if they are deemed to be too well-known, though the veto will be much less strict than in a standard contest). 🏹) No Artists with an Artist Forum. 🏹) Songs that have been previously sent to the main-contest or other spin-offs will not be allowed in. Covers or alternative versions (in reference to folk songs or something similar) may be allowed in on a case-by-case basis. 🏹) You will in this spin-off be working in pairs. Since we are less then 30 participants, each pair will find two songs (one song representing each nation in the pair) that share one or more similarites. This can be the fact that both songs charted at #21 (or in the 20s), both are sung in urdu, they have lyrical or thematical similarites, both were released in 1985 or something else – be creative! Alright I feel like this spin-off might have faded into the background with everything going on :kink: I will be extending the deadline untill tomorrow, 25 of June 11.59 pm and then take it from there. This means that you have a little over 24 hours to confirm your interest in participating and therefore getting allocated a partner for the next stage. I will not be accepting sign-ups during the confirmation stage (unless you bring a friend x).

Good evening and welcome to San Marina, Lotunia! We are excited to host yet again – and this time we are hosting a completely new spin-off :o The theme for this spin-off is Collaboration. To keep it brief: all participants will be paired up using random.org and must work together in either a) finding an entry that represents them both as a pair, or b) collaborate on finding two songs that share one or more similarities with each other – and can therefore be identified as a pair. The outfall will be decided in this stage, we will be moving forward with option A if around 40 or more people sign up, if we get around 30 or less we will move forward with option B. Below you will find the general guidelines. Que la noche ya está aclarando YekKQ_zr7pA Lotunia is back, back, back again – and this time we are returning to my birth country Perú. Why? Well, I spent almost a month in Peru a little while ago, and one of the songs I heard there was "Tusuykusun" ("Let's Dance"). A song that i consider a childhood memory that still holds up even today. Damaris, originally from Huancayo in the Andes region mixes the two languages Quechua and Spanish in her song while showcasing traditional Peruvian music beautifully. Hope you enjoy ^_^

I would be down for combining these two ideas ^_^ I just need to know if people are actually interested in either a Collaboration spin-off or the combination of Collaboration and a AI Spin-off. Neither will really work in regards to voting if less than 16 want to participate. (Obviously not asking for 16+ people to comment their wish to participate :lol:, but if only two people respond it does not really give me confidence that this is going to work haha)

Maybe to avoid the deduction issue and get more entries in the contest the pairs could instead of collaborating on one entry, they could collaborate on two. As in finding two entries that share a 'similarity' (example: both are in serbian, both were released in 1995 or they have similarites lyrically) - one representing each nation. Therefore, everyone votes indivdually and in case of a deduction the entry representing the non-voter gets deducted while the partner suffers no consequences. The collab part would only last for the confirmation part of the contest which I think might be for the best since people have different schedules and might not be able to commit to commun listenthroughs with their partner. I do feel like if I were to go forward with two-entrants-one-entry I would still want for everyone to vote indivdually - just to avoid a scenario where the pair can not get to a consensus on the entries or one person in the pair not finding time to listen and therefore not being represented in the votes.

Would there be any interest for this idea? I have some time this month and early nexth month so I would be happy to host the contest if gooddelta does not mind (seeing as this was his idea in the first place!)
