Amy Lee has revealed that Evanescence's comeback album is going to be different to their previous music. The 29-year-old band member explained that their new LP is not "angsty" or "ominous" or "heavy." She told Spin: "The record is fun - and that's a totally new thing for us. When I listen to our old music I see that's where I was in my life at that time. "This has been a long trip and parts have been hard. But it's about not taking everything so seriously this time." Lee explained that the group worked together to get the best out of their songs. She added: "We took the best songs we had, added more, and reworked them as a group. They're stronger than before… when it was more one-dimensional." However despite the lighter approach to their songs, Lee insisted that she still wants the band to remain passionate. She commented: "Life can be tough sometimes. But I think it just starts with admitting, 'OK, the world's not perfect, how do we live our lives within that and not be miserable?' "There was some real struggle trying to figure out what I want this band to be. I want Evanescence to feel passionate. It's about looking for the answers and not always knowing them."

Me too :/ One of my favourite episodes of all time is in Season 3 but overall there was too much going on at the same time/too many new characters to care about which one of them died/lived. I'm hoping that Season 4 changes that.

I'm guessing things have been pushed back a bit due to her dad being in Hospital but its nice to hear that its finally going under way :D

DS I'm guessing this is all part of getting her back in the spotlight as they prepare to get the new single out :D Good stuff!

DS I want that track to make the album so badly! Lauren Christy has previously worked with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Korn, Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, Ricky Martin, Ashley Parker Angel and McFly... Nice range.

It looks like it may be worth a watch! You can see the first 5 minutes on Digital Spy if that will help you? I think I may download this one as it seems like it could be a major let down... I mean from what I've seen it looks really good but from what I've heard...

Been meaning to make a thread on this, I really like 'Hear Me Now' I guess its not one of their best songs but its probably one of their most commercial.

The only other AI winner I can see having any kind of success even close to resembling that of Breakaway is Carrie Underwood. Why she was never given a proper release over here I will never know... Surely the success of Taylor Swift should be more than enough reason to give her a release..

^Haven't heard anything from the label as of yet but as far as I know, the video is being released this week. That's what I was told by the label after questions of the premier came up last week

'Heaven' is such a massive improvement from the demo. Wasn't that keen on it but the final version - I'm a fan of :D Also I loved the play on Cherry Cherry Boom Boom' name. I'm guessing Natalia co-produced it.

From the clips and the edited versions of the album, I'm expecting big things from this album. Listening now.

Majority of the album leaked ages ago.... The extended clips I was talking about was the full song with chunks edited out. So it practically has leaked lol. And it should be online later today around 11-ish due to it being added onto iTunes and Germany being an hour ahead. I think.

Wrong band :P Whilst Jo doesn't look the best, it is good to see her looking happy again after the whole race row crap. Hopefully the second album hasn't been shelved and she's still working on it! When I first saw Paul in the group photo I was like '...he doesn't look THAT bad.' and then it went to the close up and I suddenly went '...oh.' Also the comparison between SC8 and SC7 is really quite a weird one to make? SC8 aren't in their mid-30's and majority of them are still in the spotlight whereas SC7... Also is it just me... or does Hannah look ginger? But SC7 was such a huge part of my childhood lol, they were incredibly popular in my school... We even had somewhat of a tribute band... For some reason I was lead. And yes, we sang. I didn't think much of it then and I still don't but speaking to a few of my old classmates apparently we were good :lol:

Found some extended clips earlier, so excited for this album. Easily going to become one of my favourite albums of 2011.
