Midnights • 10th Album
I wasn’t too keen on this album at first besides the singles tbh. I listed to it a few times but nothing really clicked with me. That was, until I saw her live. Now I think I would fully rank Midnights in my Top 4/5 and half the album are staples for me  Special shout to Bejewelled, Hits Different, and W/C/S

The Tortured Poets Department • 11th Album
I wonder if this album will count as officially after the “eras” era? Like how Ed Sheerans Autumn album came out during the mathematics tour but wasn’t a maths album? Her first ten albums are all fairly tied together now through the tour. I can imagine a box set of some kind with 1-10 literally called The Eras

Doctor Who • 2023-
I suppose that’s true, mystery around companions is nice. But if it turns out that Ruby is an orphaned timelord and the neighbour is an exiled timelord that’s in hiding to protect the child I will riot in Star Wars Season finale is the Master saying “Ruby, I am your father”

Doctor Who • 2023-
Id rate it as maybe an 8/10 in Christmas specials and 6/10 in companion introduction episodes. I really enjoyed this as a light, fun episode and the only criticism I mirror from others on here is the singing. The goblin song was funny and genuinely would’ve been my favourite part of this if not for the Doctor and Ruby then singing along. It just felt a bit strange that Ruby who was about to see a baby get eaten alive by Jabba The Hutt didn’t have an issue jumping into song and dance along with a stranger she had only just met. A man who she met at a club who then mysteriously appeared at her house the next day. 15 is fantastic so far, as is Ruby to be honest despite the above thing. But now they’ve met and assuming with a proper introduction at the beginning of episode 1 I’m all here for the new era. I’m also loving the fact that Ruby doesn’t seem to have a huge overarching “most important person in the universe” shtick like other companions have had. I’m rewatching older series right now and going Donna->Amy->Clara it’s just everyone one upping each other with who has the biggest impact on the rest of the world lol

Absolutely, please go for it! I can’t believe it’s been over FIVE YEARS since I did this. Wowee Two more albums released since then but all I really hope for is My Own Soul’s Warning to crack into the Top 10 where it deserves

BuzzJack presents...
Hits of Australia 1975-now would be awesome. The 70s is when Australian music culture really started up with AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Angels, Midnight Oil, etc. pumping out some massive rock songs. But as years went on the predominant genre turned to grunge/indie rock, then to pop/electronic, then back to more indie soft rock/pseudo folk, and in more recent years (for lack of a better word) hip hop. Australian rap isn’t exactly hip hop.. maybe the genre is just Australian rap? In any case you could literally plot out the transition of Australian music over 4 discs. Would be difficult to not have Kylie Minogue on every disc lol

Doctor Who • 2023-
Wow, I expected some discussion but you guys really went off in here huh As much as I enjoyed these specials I’m not in any rush to rewatch them. Better than Chibnalls efforts, sure, but RTD seems to have this way of shoehorning his forced progressiveness in for no reason. Each episode had at least 1-2 moments where I was bordering cringing. The “binary binary - non-binary” scene, Donna’s “just let it go”, “mavity”, “wait til the boss hears about this” (or something along those lines), pointing out the wheelchair access to the Tardis, “he was so hot”, sprinkling salt to become a superstition/law of the universe(?), a weapon used to destroy a satellite immediately only harms the Doctor enough to force a regeneration when it quite clearly shouldve blasted a hole through his torso… there’s maybe more but that’s off the top of my head. I don’t have a problem with the inclusivity and social awareness, but the way it’s been written into these episodes is like it’s never happened before when almost all of it has in DW. Over the years of modern who, at least, there has been acknowledgment of all these things but RTD has decided he should showcase everything all at once and as much as possible in 60 minutes. It just comes off as preachy and like it’s purposely trying to rub people the wrong way. People are getting “outraged” at “nEw DoCtOr WhO wOkE pRoPaGaNdA” which is absurd in itself because nothing in these episodes is new. It’s just been portrayed as if it is. Introducing Isaac Newton and renaming gravity was a choice. On the one hand it’s interesting to see a time travellers effect on the world around them, but shouldn’t Donna be exempt from the history changing because she’s spent so long in the Tardis? The salt at the edge of the universe thing is a similar idea, but how did Kate come to know about this superstition in current time? How many other non-entity demons have come from beyond the edge and spread their superstitions to Earth? My guess would be with the move to Disney+ they’ve wanted to encapsulate all the development of the last 18~ years within 3 episodes, but who knows… The very end scene was very cute and all but is 14 really gonna spend his days on Earth and only hang out with two of his companions? What exactly is gonna happen the next time an alien race tries to invade Earth and 15 shows up, only to also have 14 on the same planet? 14 won’t avoid a crisis because he is the Doctor. Does Earth have a permanent protector now, and 15 will spend all his time in space? But Ruby is presumably human, so, 15 is on Earth. With 14 also there. But not doing Doctor things. Just having a family meal with a select few of his friends. But anyway.. love Tennant and Tate as always. Loved seeing Wilf back as heartwrenching as it was. The basic story of Wild Blue Yonder was fantastic if you look past the absurdity of salt. NPH was a clear highlight for me overall though and I think he did a great job. I went off too, sorry lol. I love Doctor Who and always have I’m just sceptical about the future based on these specials. The foreshadowing of “big boss” and the Masters return yet again felt a little like it was spending too much time trying to hook future viewers in as opposed to just straight up celebrating 60 years, but eh. Here’s to hoping Eccleston, Capaldi and Whittaker come back one day. Maybe 75th?

TV Shows you're watching in 2026
I’m currently introducing my partner to Doctor Who! Finally! And in doing so I’ve realised that 1) I am not a 9th Doctor fan, sorry Chris but you just don’t do it for me like David. Some great episodes in S1 and I love Rose and Jack but meh. 2) The Girl In The Fireplace is a GREAT episode. I used to pass it up on rewatches sometimes because I didn’t like it as a kid but wow it’s a solid episode on all fronts. Definitely a Top 4 story from S2

Ed Sheeran - Eyes Closed
I’ve always enjoyed Ed’s music and went to see him in concert here a couple of weeks ago, turns out he’s a really great performer which I wasn’t expecting. Maisie Peters opening was a blessing too. I like this a lot although I agree with the others that it’s his least “lead single sounding” lead yet. I’m sure it’ll be a surefire #1 worldwide but longevity wise I’m not convinced. Over here it’ll be #1 for 8+ weeks but in the UK I expect Calvin/Ellie will put up a fight and overtake in a few weeks especially with you lot coming into summer. That said, his album is only out in May so that’s providing he doesn’t release any more singles beforehand lol

Starter Pokémon survivor
Oshawott, Chespin, Sobble An otter and a hedgehog deserved soooo much more than the abominations of third stages they received. Sobble I don't really like any of its stages but still its ruined for me by Inteleon And then Hisiuan Samurott was somehow even worse than the original...

Panic! at the Disco - Viva Las Vengeance
Kinda surprised theres not much chat about this album here :( I think as a whole it's my least favourite of his "solo" albums but still a solid album, his vocals especially really shine here Don't Let The Light Go Out is my favourite by far and could be up there with the best of Panic!'s (ask me again in a couple of months if I'm still so hyped by it ) Really enjoyed this performance yesterday too UaCJ3PNdlKE

Top Gun:Maverick
I enjoy the first movie but it honestly drags on a little too much at times. There's just a lot of empty space where not much happens and, considering that these are basic ass action movies, that's not really ideal. But I while still love it and it is a classic, Maverick outdoes it in every possible way  I've been to the cinema to watch it twice now and I honestly could go again and be just as enthralled as I was the very first time!
