X Factor's Farcical Sales Claims
I wasn't including Gary (thought it was 18 with Rob + TT but you are correct it is 17) but you are right - Gary should also be included bringing it to 19. If Gary's worldwide solo album and single sales, plus of course Mark's then altogether the members of TT have sold over 115M records worldwide. The 14.5M tickets is before the 1.5Mish tickets were sold for The Progress tour so it is now over 16M tickets sold. And yeah Zeus - you could use this method for loads of bands who had big solo stars - the most impressive being The Beatles- the reason why I was doing it was because that is what their management are doing - they are adding Robbie's solo stats to TT's to make it all sound as impressive as possible. Shame the XF didn't do the same. -_-

Waffling Out Of Consciousness
Yup -_- Our Govt are a bunch of f***ing morons who are hanging onto power by a thread and won't do the honorable thing and call a bloody election so we can tell them to f*** off!!   Once we have a new Govt full of people not directly responsible for wrecking the country then we could move forward with a credible plan and there would be confidence in the markets. But no - the Goverment care more about their massive salaries and plush Mercs than about the country. :puke2:

iTunes Chart: November 2010 (II)
If the album wasn't out this week with likely half a million people expected to buy it first week then I would agree - The Flood would be #1 this week but sales will trail off due to people buying the album. It will probably get higher sales than last week though but remain at #2.

New Michael Jackson single to debut Monday
Was this song written solely by Akon? It sounds like many of his other songs. Quite why this was chosen to launch MJ's first studio alum in nearly a decade is beyond me. Most of the outtakes I've heard from older albums are miles better than this rather cheesy unremarkable tune -which granted is catchy but just rather forgettable.

Take That Progress sales
 Circus sold 133K first day and sold 430K by the end of the week - so how do you figure by it selling 150K first day it will end up selling 130K less than Circus  The 150K is for HMV alone and also includes Ireland. As I said if this turns out to be true then 120K or so of that would be in the UK alone which means it will easily sell 200K first day. It all depends on whether these industry predictions turn out to be true.

Robbie's iTunes mix
He has great and at times odd taste. So glad he included Achtung Baby in his top album picks :D I am.....I said is such a brilliant tune by Neil Diamond  Shocked there is no Wichita Lineman or Mr Bojangles though :o His two fave songs. Suppose he must be sick of them

Robbie's iTunes mix
As part of the marketing for 'Prgress' Itunes have been taken over by TT for the past number of days - it's the first thing that comes up when you log on to the Itunes store so there is no way anyone out there that uses it would not be aware the album is out  Rob has done his picks of faves albums, singles, TV shows and films :D http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture16-5.png http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture10-22.png http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture12-7.png http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture14-7.png http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture9-28.png http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/rwsetlet.jpg Thanks to Itunes and TRWS

Rob's tour with TT: Progress Live - Tour Dates
Not any longer than it should be when the price and the fact Rob is apparently getting 40 minutes is taken into account. 2hrs or less is not long enough when you consider that the four lads will get 40 minutes off when Rob is on and visa versa. -_-

Take That Progress sales
Don't expect it to sound anything remotely like TT's last two albums  I expect a lot of the housewife types who only buy one or two albums a year at Asda will be shocked at the sound of the album and actually quite horrified at how experimental some of the tracks are compared to their normal material. And those who dislike Rob will also be less than pleased at how much he features on the album in terms of vocals and overall style, lyrics and melody. I am loving the album though. It is getting terrific reviews everywhere - from music mags to broadsheets to tabloids which is very rare. SOS, Kidz and Undeground Machine being my faves. Some great electro pop and brilliantly produced by Stuart Price. :D

Rob's tour with TT: Progress Live - Tour Dates
Angels and Never Forever would not fit anywhere apart from at the end but Back For Good was performed at the start on the Circus Live wasn't it? I think Everything Changes will be at the first part because there are only two songs Rob sung lead on - that and Could It Be Magic (which Rob hates but I expect them to open with it) so unless Rob sings lead on a few songs he didn't first time around such as Relight My Fire (which he was originally meant to do but was showed up hungover so Gary did it) I can't see him only singing lead on one single song for the first half which is why I think EC will stay at the start. You could be right about Back For Good though as it would suit the encore section :D

I read somewhere that 1.2M had been shipped in the UK - that would surely be enough  I notice it is one of the headlines on Sky News about the album being released. The hype is unreal!

Rob's tour with TT: Progress Live - Tour Dates
What is everyones 'setlist' prediction now we have heard the new album? Bear in mind Gary said in the Irish Times on Saturday that is will start with all five doing the 90's material, then Rob solo - then TT4 and then TT5 :D TT5 1. Could It Be Magic 2. Pray 3. Back For Good 4. Relight My Fire 5. Medley of various older hits 6. Everything Changes Robbie Solo 7. Let Me Entertain You 8. Come Undone 9. No Regrets 10. Shame 11. Feel 12. Rock DJ TT4 13. Greatest Day 14. Up All Night 15. Shine 16. Patience 17. Said It All or Hold Up The Light 18. Rule The World TT5 19. The Flood 20. SOS 21. Kidz 22. Eight Letters or Flowerbed 23. Happy Now 24. Underground Machine or Wait 25. Angels (all five singing it) 26. Never Forget

Progress Album
I don't have the physical copy but I am positive that it would say 'Written and composed by Take That' for every song on there - regardless of how much input certain members had. It's the same with many bands - even U2 do it this way despite Bono and The Edge writing most songs alone. Very odd that it says that on your downloaded copy. I ADORE 'Underground Machine'

Take That Progress sales
Another problem with this is there is no way it will sell 250K on Itunes - Itunes sales are nowhere near that high for albums. I'd estimate for the total week: HMV: 250K Other Retailers: 150K Amazon: 150K Itunes: 40,000 Total: 590,000 That is IF the 150K (well 120K for UK alone really) turns out to be true.
-
Take That Progress sales
Too high IMO. Firstly the 150K figure is for first day - not the full week - it also includes Irish HMV stores. There are only 6 HMV stores in Ireland so I'd say at least 120,000 of those sales are for the UK. If this turns out to be the case then there is no question first day sales will be well over 200,000.

Album sales Progress - Fastest seling album of the century!
The sales are going to be truly massive! :o It has now come to light that the 150,000 first day sales is for HMV in the UK and Ireland alone :o The majority of those sales - let's say 120K would be for the UK HMV stores - with other retailers and online stores such as Amazon then 200K first day is highly likely. It will easily pass half a million for week sales is this turns out to be correct. http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?section...1043307&c=1

Take That Progress sales
Music Week have an article confirming the 150,000 is for HMV's stores alone in the UK and Ireland. :o http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?section...1043307&c=1

Take That Progress sales
I can't see it beating Oasis's record. Oasis sold nearly 700,000 copies in 3 days only(was released on a thursday) - a total of 820,000 for 7 days - although it's 3 day tally is technically the only one that counts. If TT sell 150K in HMV alone in the UK and Ireland - then it means it will sell over 200K first day in the UK alone (which would shock Charis who thinks it will onyl sell this in the entire week :P ) with other retail sales + online sales. Amazon said pre-order sales exceed those of The Circus or any Robbie album (despite IC selling 375K first week and 130K first day). The sales are going in be ridiculously high either way.
-
Take That Progress sales
Interesting - 150K first day is the industry prediction and it sounds about right. 400-500K for the first week is obvious - so I am sticking with my 450K prediction. :D The Circus sold 133K first day so 150K+ would see them beat the total weeks sales that got of 430K.

Album sales Progress - Fastest seling album of the century!
150,000 is being estimated for 1st day alone :o Overall sales this week estimated between 400-500K - I am sticking with 450K prediction :smoke: http://www.allmediascotland.com/media_rele...s...reports-hmv

Take That and Robbie X-Factor tonight
 Well Rob sold in the region of between 75-80M albums + singles - so that brings the total to over 110M records sold. Gary's debut album sold 2M worldwide - the second flopped and I am not sure the sales. If you include both album and the singles I suppose he has sold over 3M records as a solo artist. Mark Owen I am unsure about - couldn't be arsed searcing for his sales - he was never that big though - 1M for all his albums and singles is probably fair. If you include all the solo and together as a group - then they have sold over 115M and will pass 120M with Progress and it's singles. Brian McFadden did okay with his Guy Chambers penned debut album - 'Real To Me' was a decent tune but a forgotton #1. He is big in Australia though so he has probably shifted a couple of million as a solo artist. Possibly enough to bring Westlife to that 45M being claimed. :smoke:
