  1. Bloody hell - 11CD's and 6DVD's :o Only some of the info is available so far - but it appears to be just a boxset with all the DVDs already available all put together  What the 11CDs are though is anyone's guess. Surely not just all 11 albums? Quite what the point of this is I don't know. A massive pissed opportunity here. They could have released all the amazing gigs that have not been before such as Slane in full, Cologne, Manchester, Abbey Road, Leeds, Rio, Argentina, Mexico etc etc etc - then they could have put all the studio albums only along with all the B-sides. Loads of people would have bought it. Now why would people buy what they already have? <_<

  3. I agree. I've nothing against the TT lads, but their music and especially live shows are the opposite of what I would pay to see, so I could not bring myself to spend so much on a ticket. Plus seeing Rob up there doing all the choreographed nonsense would really p*** me off - to such an extent I'd have to be pay the 100 quid to witness it  Mark Owen said it would be like the circus but bigger . It's a shame us solo only fans and the TT4 only fans can't just buy reduced tickets for just the parts we want and then leave. And welcome back Kathy. Were you away on holiday?
  4. So based on the album title I suspect the setlist will done in progression. Likely to be the following. TT 5 singing the 90's material - Pray, Could It Be Magic, Everything Changes, Back For Good, Never Forver, RMF etc Rob solo section - LMEY, Come Undone, No Regrets, Feel, Angels, Rock DJ etc plus possibly 'Shame'. TT 4 singing the hits from the past two albums - Patience, Shine, Rule The World, Greatest Day, Up All Night etc TT 5 again singing The Flood and other new material from the album. Obviously it is likely they will also sing the biggies from the 90's like BFG and NF at the end too for better effect. Interestingly on Irish radio - people are texting in complaining that the gig in Croker should be free considering Rob will be singing solo and seeing as he has a long-overdue promise of a free gig in that exact venue. You would think they would have picked the Aviva Stadium to avoid this sort of thing, although I doubt it will effect ticket sales in Dublin. I certainly won't be going though but look forward to seeing it on the telly. ^_^
  5. Take That Announces European Stadium Shows http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2010/10/26/1288089480675/Take-That-announce-UK-tou-006.jpg Billboard.Biz October 26, 2010 - Global | Touring | Rock and Pop Reformed U.K. pop group Take That has confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in the music biz -- the band will tour European stadia next summer. The announcement was made today (Oct. 26) at London's Savoy Hotel where all five original band members, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams held a press conference in front of invited media. The "Progress Live" tour commences May 30 next year at Sunderland's Stadium of Light before calling at the City of Manchester Stadium for a four-night run (June 3, 4, 5 and 7). Other U.K. dates include Cardiff Millennium Stadium (June 14), Dublin Croke Park (June 18), two nights at Glasgow Hampden Park (June 22 and 23), Birmingham Villa Park (June 27) and a closing four-night run at London's Wembley Stadium (July 1, 2, 3, 5). European dates include Milan's San Siro stadium (July 12), Copenhagen Parken (July 16), Amsterdam Arena (July 18), Hamburg Imtech Arena (July 22), Düsseldorf Espirit Arena (July 25) and Munich Olympiastadion (July 29). The promoters are Manchester-based SJM and KSE; Samsung is the headline sponsor for the tour, which marks the first time that Williams will have performed with the band since the mid-nineties. Tickets for the U.K. dates are priced between £55 ($87.40) and £90 ($143) and go on sale 9am GMT Friday Oct. 29 from a range of ticket vendors; tickets for European shows go on sale Nov. 5. Confirming the tour, which had been widely expected ever since Williams announced that he was re-joining the band in July this year, Barlow told the audience that the forthcoming live dates would not be a "stripped back acoustic tour," but will be "a big production stadium show." Williams also confirmed that he would perform a selection of his solo material at the live dates. "There's going to be a bit for everybody," said Williams. "I'm going to be doing a bit. The lads are going to be doing a bit and then we're all going to be doing a bit." "That's an important message for the fans that are coming," added Barlow. "In [these shows] they will get to see us all do our individual bits." Asked from the floor if one of the reasons why Williams had rejoined the band was that his solo career was beginning to stall, the singer issued a defiant response. Williams greatest hits collection "In and Out of Consciousness -- Greatest Hits 1990-2010" (Virgin/EMI) debuted atop the Billboard European chart last week. (Billboard.biz, Oct. 21). The album was Williams' ninth No. 1 in the U.K. albums chart. "[My] Greatest hits [was] No. 1 in 14 countries," the solo star stated. "[My] last album sold more than [Take That's 2008 studio set, released on Polydor] "The Circus" so, at the risk of sounding like a sour puss -- f*** off." Williams also spoke about the differences between being Take That now and in the mid-nineties when the Manchester-formed group had their first wave of chart-topping success. "The first time around, there was a lot of power struggles with everybody and this time around there just isn't," a relaxed, jocular Williams said. "We're all in it for the same reasons, the right reasons whatever they are and it's a good thing." Reflecting on the band's phenomenal success since they first reformed as a four-piece (minus Williams) in 2005, Donald added: "I truly believed at that time, I think most of did, that it would be a one-off -- a trip down memory lane. But here we are doing our fourth tour and [third] album. I didn't expect it; I don't think any of us did." Take That's new studio album "Progress" (Polydor) will be released Nov. 22 in the U.K. and is widely expeced to be one of the year's biggest sellers. According to a statement from the band's label, Take That and Robbie Williams have sold more than 80 million albums between
  6. I have no doubt many more dates will be added to the UK and likely another one (two at the most due to limits for the stadium) in Ireland (Croke Park). But with the UK - this is only 14 initial dates - I expect at least another half a dozen to be added for the UK. In Wembley for example - I have no doubt they will want to break Michael Jackson's record of a 7 night residency there. Europe is where it gets very interesting. I knew they would be playing stadiums in Germany - but I am very surprised with the news they are playing the San Siro and The Amsterdam Arena (actually a 50,000+ stadium, not an arena). They will need to emphasize Robbie much more here - and he will have to do a much longer solo section accross Europe. And plus Rob did say when in Paris a few weeks back that they will be playing Paris too - so more cities to be announced. It's a truly fascinating situation really - TT's last album reached #68 in the Netherlands and #48 in Italy and they are going to play the two biggest stadiums there is in both countries. Kathy was correct all along - it's all about money. Together in the UK they are most defiantly going to be selling more tickets together then either would have done apart due to the manner in which it is being marketed. And abroad TT are going to get a truly unique opportunity to play stadiums, which otherwise would not have been possible. It has been a brilliantly orchestrated plan by all involved. Very impressive. :D
  7. Anyone have a video, audio or the script of the media questions and answers after the video stopped on the official site? Rob is already making headlines because when asked if he would still be joining TT if he was still having solo #1's he said the following: “The greatest hits album was number one in 14 countries. My last album sold more than (Take That’s) The Circus. At the risk of sounding like a sourpuss, f**k off,”   That sounds like the old Rob to me - none of the media arse-licking crap and underplaying his own success as he has been doing for too long now. It will of course go against him big time but it had to be said to put the tabloid ignoramuses in their place. :smoke:
  8. All of those initial international dates are all in stadiums, including the 80,000+ San Siro. Very glad to have two things I knew all along confirmed to be the truth. The other of course being Robbie singing solo material too. I have to hand it to them. Superb businessmen it must be said. They are all going to rake it in :D Title changed - with info added to first post btw.
  9. Now THIS is what I've been waiting for in this whole fiasco - so glad to be proven correct all along :smoke: International dates announced so far: Tue 12 July Milan San Siro Sat 02 July Copenhagen Parken Mon 18 July Amsterdam Arena Fri 22 July Hamburg Imtech Arena Mon 25 July Dusseldorf Esprit Arena Fri 29 July Munich Olympia Stadion
  10. Thanks ICR :D Very short press conference. Very first question was if Rob is going to be singing solo material and he confirmed he will be doing so. Gary then said there will be fans there to see only Rob, other fans for the TT4 and others for all five and there will be something there for everyone. And of course in the TV advert there is a mix between TT and Rob solo songs to promote the shows. Very clever move it has to be said from a marketing point of view - it doesn alienate the separate fanbases - and means far more people will be going to the shows then if both were separate. They still won't be playing the reported 58 dates though as the media reported - it may be 58 when they include international markets, especially Germany but not a hope in hell for the UK and Ireland alone. Besides 58 dates would not mean 2M tickets but rather over 3.4M. Typical ignorance UK tabloids.

  13. Love this new band from New Jersey - The Gaslight Anthem. Very Springsteen-influenced. Their two albums are really good. They were on Jools on Friday night too. http://www.therobbiewilliamssite.com/thumbsup.gif CE6ynpJm_7k Ul0XCTeJx_o No-odBkzsEE d2Leo9HSaGQ Also this brilliant performance of 'No Surrender' with The Boss himself - not on youtube though so here is the dailymotion link. Well worth watching - I adore No Surrender

  16. As I said in the News thread: Sometimes Rob really does need a good kick up the arse. He was gutted about having to promote his first album after 3 years break? Big bloody deal. He says unfortunately for EMI he was disinterested in promoting it? It was more unfortunate for the fans who waited all those years for him to make the album only to find he was more interested in harping on endlessly about TT, their last album, their last tour (I think he did more promo for them than RKTVS tbh), Ayda, his dogs, UFO's etc etc - the list is endless amount things he discussed more than the record he was being paid (and a bloody fortune too) to promote. I usually love how he just says what he is thinking and has no filter but sometimes he would be better off keeping his gob shut. He spent all the RKTVS promo discussing TT, so now he is back with TT he should focus on that instead of slagging off an album that deserved a hell of a lot more respect and effort on his part after such a long break. <_< He is right about Bodies lyrics though - they don't make a whole lot of sense. Just like a number of singles though - Rock DJ being the most obvious  He does say he thinks Bodies is a great tune though and said in the Neil Fox interview a while back that although he resented having to make a commercial album he still loves RKTVS and is very proud of it. I just wish he would stop down-playing himself and his solo career. It is bad enough he has rejoined TT but if he continues this sort of crap he will totally alienate his solo fans, and when he gets bored with TT and goes back there will be far few remaining. His lack of respect for his fans is nothing new though. He never thinks before he speaks. Ever. And it proves how wrong he is about Bodies and MS - Bodies= European #1 smash hit, #2 Worldwide, his fastest seller in the UK since Rock DJ compared to Morning Sun - the biggest flop of his entire career. I do love Morning Sun but it was never single material - it doesnt even have a chorus - a nice edited version of Starstruck would have done far better. But the judgement of Rob and his management is a laughable one let's be honest.
  17. In fairness - I highly doubt Robbie is even aware of this scam. And I'm not being a naive fan by saying that, I just honestly doubt Rob takes the interest is things like this. I also highly doubt he is aware of the Jasna's prize. He is probably just told to sign this and sign that - it is his management or the those to run the website who are to blame This is an outrageous scam and according to Twitter there are only a handful left now - so either they are bull$h!ting or there are some very rich Robbie fans out there  I am glad the Mirror has made a big deal about this. It might catch Rob's attention - although even if he thinks it is ridiculous - I doubt he will be arsed to do anything about it. It's Rob afterall.
  18. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture1-131.png Thanks to TRWS It is also #1 in the French Compilation Charts :D And has climbed to #3 in Australia too :smoke: :D
  19. Thanks Stevyy :D Another global #1 album  :yahoo: As always with mediatraffic - sales are to be ignored on a general basis as the vast majority of them are guesses based on what they think would be average sales for a #1. The main thing is he is #1 - s IAOOC topped the charts in his two biggest markets - the UK and Germany - overall #1 in Europe and now the biggest selling album in the world this week. An AMAZING result or any album, but for a second GH is is remarkable.
  20. NO  Rob will have released 3 TT albums, 2 solo albums, taken a 5 year break and will have 3 kids by the time this finishes  Morning Sun 20 Bodies 33 Blasphemy 9- Last Days Of Disco 31+ Difficult For Weirdos 23 Superblind 13
  21. Interesting blog by Gary - always good to read about the songwriting process. Glad to see him say Rob not only wrote the lyrics to Heart and I but the melody as well - I knew that the moment I heard the track. The melody (unlike Shame) has that Robbie stamp on it, as do the lyrics of course. I really like the music too though, and although I like the Flood, I think 'Heart and I' is far superior. :D
  22. Looks as though Shame is set for a big drop this week - it is #17 in todays mids. It sold well though - but it was never the type of track that was going to hang around for ages was it?
