  1. Yeah the first GH has sold near 2.5M in the UK alone and over 8M globally. A massive album. The thing is it is not just the singles since the last one that feature but a further 12 Top 10/ Singles including the Xmas #1 Something Stupid, not to mention several other tracks that were not singles in the UK. So it is much more than just singles since the last one added on, plus of course the #2 Shame (although the album advert claims it was a #1 hit which is odd) and the great new tune 'Heart & I' which is getting some airplay on Radio 2. I know I've said it endlessly now but it is insane that Rob has not done a one-off TV special to celebrate the release of it and his careers anniversary. Had there been one on ITV either last night or tonight after the XF I would be positive of it getting #1 but over 100K especially if other tracks were showcased other than the usual suspects. However considering there is nothing like that and the older tracks he has sung on TV for prom(Feel and Rock DJ) are from the first one - it isnt exactly going to entice people to go out and buy it if they already have the album those tracks are from. The strategy is half arsed as per usual and not thought out properly but he hardly cares at this point - it is all about TT for him now. The thing it has going for it are the different editions and the fact there isnt too much obvious competition apart from this weeks #1 album which ha ssold 85K, however that will surely half by next week. I would love just for once for it to have a clear lead by the first set of midweeks and not have to worry about it selling enough. It tends to get very annoying, especially after RKTVS. <_<
  2. Rob sang Rock DJ on SCD this evening and I missed it :o Forgot he was on   No doubt it will be on youtube shortly but I wanted to have it to add to my DVD - and SCD is never repeated. ^_^
  3. It was very lucky to reach #2 IMO. Unlike Bodies last year where it's 90K sales would have been enough to reach #1 most previous weeks, Shame was up and down Itunes like a yo yo and was #1 at one point and as low at #4 at another during the week. Even though I don't like it I am delighted Rob has achieved his 21st Top 5 Hit single and 28th Top 10. Fantastic. If IAOOC is not #1 next week I will explode though :D
  4. I don't think it is amazing like lots are fans are making out on both forums but it is much better than I expected it to be and I think while it may somewhat overproduced in parts, it does have that big epic feel that Shame sorely lacked. But I do agree. I also prefer 'Heart & I' too. The HQ version is fantastic. It is annoying me though - it reminds me of something else, possibly various songs but I can't think of what they are. <_<
  5. Dogs and Birds is a really good tune - as is Email. But Heart and I is getting better with each listen. The Itunes HQ version is fantastic. It should be released as a single outside the UK/Ireland at least.
  6. Good interview. Gary hardly got a word in though although in fairness most of the questions were directed at Rob. Possibly the best version of Shame so far. It helped sales too as it extended it's lead a lot to #4 and #5 and is catching up with #2 again. I reckon it will be #2 on the official charts tomorrow. sKTJZO9CDEU Interview AnDx4SZZ0Bo
  7. Well - I've included the bonus Itunes tracks and also the B-side to Shame - The Queen. I voted for 'Heart and I' - love it more with each listen. I HQ Itunes version is fantastic up loud. It reminds me of several of his past songs and I love the lyrics. Dogs and Bird is really good too - really good melody here. The lyric 'The dog said to the bird do you sing the same song everyday' is cool. ^_^ Email would be third, then Long Walk Home, then The Queen and then Shame.
  8. Surprised it didn't go top 5. Bodies got to #3 with much less radio support heret. I knew from the very beginning Shame was not the type of track that was going to connect with non- fans - it would be hard to relate to the lyrics as they are very much about Rob and Gary's relationship and the song itself is too dreary to have a big impact. It appeal is certainly limited and I fully expect it to drop quickly down the charts and think the radio won't be playing it much now 'The Flood' is on radio.
  9. So do I. I am sick of hearing the same answers to the same questions at this stage. I would like more info on 'Heart and I' (am clinging on to hope Rob sings it tonight but am expecting to be disappointed) and the writing process. Also some info about 'The Flood' as well. And I hope Paul asks Rob some questions about his GH - and not just about the bromance and his wedding.
  10. Cover of the DVD of the music vids :D http://images.play.com/covers/16101730x.jpg Also vid of all the different versions from EMI Germany. :D cKFRPMUV-0w
  11. Rob and Gary will be chatting and singing 'Shame' on Paul O'Grady tonight at 9PM on ITV. Is this their first proper TV Chat show interview? Should be a laugh anyway with Paul. :D
  12. It has slipped to #6 now which is just shocking, especially after being heard by millions of people on Radio 1 and 2 live. Had this been released the day after the HFH performance I think it would have reached #1 but at this stage, 6 weeks of huge airplay people are tired of it by the week of release and it has dropped dramatically during the week. It is still #2 on the official mid weeks - no sales though but if Paul O'Grady performance doesnt have a big impact it will be very lucky to remain at #2.
  13. HQ version without that bloody idiot Moyles speaking. 65KebzE5zOU
  14. It seems from looking around the forums that the majority of people on BOTH Rob and TT's OS really like 'The Flood'. I am surprised at the amount of people on both who are surprised Rob is on lead vocals though. Surely it would have been beyond odd for him not to be on the first single back with the lads? We're they really expecting him on backing vocals? Anyway I've heard it a few times and it is going to be a big hit. I even think it will be a hit internationally as well if they promote it. What I like about it is that there are parts that sound like Robbie solo, parts that sound like TT4 and then parts that sound like neither. The chorus is epic - I love how fast paced it is, and the verses are quite theatrical. It's a big, bold, slightly edgy anthem brilliantly produced by Stuart Price. I would go as far as to say this has potential to become my fave TT single ever after more listens and see it live - Never Forget, Rule The World and BFG are still ahead but this could overtake soon. It is very instant. I did think JLS would beat the single to #1 but if they perform this on the XF the weekend before it will easily win surely? The single is vastly superior then I thought it would be and on the back of it, considering both sets of fans seem to really like it, I think the album will be the fastest selling in the UK since Be Here Now by Oasis and the biggest seller of the year outselling Susan Boyle.
  15. Sounds good on first listen - not bland at all like Shame - reminds me of some other song which I can't think of right now. Great to hear Rob on lead vocals. Surprised there is not more Mark though - it is sort of just another Rob vocal with Gary doing the bridge and chorus. I like the slight electro sound as I always do - but it is more orchestral than electro - in a similar type of way to the music to Bodies in the chorus. I'll need to listen a few more times to form a proper opinion but although it isnt amazing it is a massive improvement on Shame and actually sounds like a hit single on first listen. pYQvDLJyamc
  16. Shame is really slipping now. It is way behind both #1 and #2 and is in danger of being overtaken by BOTH #4 and #5 despite being heard by millions of people on Live Lounge and Drivetime on Radio 1 and 2 today.
  17. The only track on the GH worse than Shame is Something Stupid IMO - they are sort of equal in terms of blandness in terms of the tune itself and naffness in terms of the lyrics. Yep I even prefer Rudebox to Shame by quite a margin too. Shame is too ordinary to be a single - it should have been left as an album track on the new TT album for the fans to hear. Heart and I would have made a much better single from Rob's GH.
  18. I agree - the new song with Nadine is not good at all. He had that #1 with Brian McFadden after he left Westlife - it was a decent enough tune. One of those forgotten #1's. One of the other new songs - Long Walk Home is now up on youtube - really like this one. Fantastic lyrics and he is sounding great :D Expand Info section for a download link. PCpKZURITKU
  19. HQ version now on Youtube with a download link also if you expand the info section :D xNcW_TfYQBQ
  20. Enjoyed the interview but sorry didnt like Rob's 'Shine' cover. Firstly he didnt even know the words properly and was reading them off a sheet the entire time, and you could see he wasnt sure what way to sing certain parts  Had he been more prepared he could have done a great cover of it but it was a bit half arsed tbh although I suppose it was a bit of a laugh and prob last minute thing. I did laugh though when he was doing the screechy 'Shiiiiiiiiiine' parts and ended up having a coughing fit - and Gaz started laughing in the corner  Smoking 60 cigs a day has affected the screaming type of vocals on songs a lot - LMEY at HFH being a recent example as well. He should have done those parts in a deeper voice. It was fun to watch though but nowhere near as good as it could have been and nowhere near as good as his brilliant cover of Human last year on the LL. I still listen to that all the time - just love it so much. They are on Radio 2 at 5PM tonight as well.
  21. Rob and Gaz were on Live Lounge this morning chatting and singing Shame. Rob also did a cover of Shine. eJBAX7NISXo Shine QeWRuA8sS0U http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/5846/22751492.jpg http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/7199/22751498.jpg http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/3016/22752569.jpg Source: http://picture.belga.be/belgapicture/edito...rch.html?page=1 via Assie at TRWS
  22. Video interview with MSN. Part two also available on here plus a Quiz http://music.uk.msn.com/xclusives/robbie-w...s?ocid=topstory Really good interview here - some different answers too - said his career highlights are Promises getting to 38, Swing gig, Knebworth and playing gigs in South America and how great it is to be able to sell out stadiums so far away. Mentions the gigs at the River Plate in Argentina in particular. Also talks about how he came up with the idea of the Shame video. His biggest regret being when he said he was rich beyond his wildest dreams because he dreams higher these days.
  23. I have heard him say that dozens of times over the years. It is no bombshell as the Metro suggests. He has indicated in several interviews recently that his solo career is over for the moment and isnt saying anything different here. I have no doubt Rob will release many more solo albums during his career - after the TT album/tour I think he will take another lengthly break to start a family, but he is too creative to just stop making his own records, especially the type of music he loves. I feel with RKTVS has was forced to make a certain type of album and it seemed to annoy him as he said before, however now he is out of the contract I reckon when he wants to make another album he will make the type of album HE wants to make and won't allow himself to be under pressure by record companies etc to make the type of album they want. As he said RKTVS was half and half but I think it is likely he will release something similar to Rudebox again at some point unless of course being back with TT gives him his competitive streak back in which case he will likely get back with Guy Chambers as he said in December at some point in the next 5 years. Btw I heard that in the new book there is a part that mentions new solo songs he has put aside for after TT - for those who have the book is there much details given as to what type of tracks they are? Just listened to the Kyle and Jackie O interview in full. Very amusing in parts. Interesting when asked if TT will promote in Australia he said he hoped so and then went on to explain that the situation with TT is different in the UK and how popular they are there. He did say he will be back in Oz at some point himself doing something. He also said in that interview "I don't want to do anything solo for a while - I'm dried up". It is sad however they he feels he is tired with the solo career considering he has already taken a 3year break from it. I think yet again it points back to the Rudebox backlash. Around that time he was talking about releasing 3 albums a year and was very excited about it, then Rudebox backlash and he takes 3 years off and lost a huge amount of confidence both on stage (although that is coming back recently) and creatively - so I hope getting back with TT and playing to big crowds on tour again will give him that confidence back and then he will feel able to release whatever type of album he wants whenever he wants.

  25. Unless my eyes are deceiving me on my Itunes 'Fuck You' is about to overtake Shame to #1 - infact the whole top 5 is catching up so Shame is losing momentum. Looks as though it is game up. Such a Shame, real Shame. -_- The GH better be #1 though - he Script did it with only 34K last week, and Tinie's sales will be a fraction of what they are by next week so it is likely with little obvious competition in the new releases. With so many having the first GH and 'Shame' aside none of the other 20 tracks featuring that were not on the first one are being sung anywhere as promotion. He should have done a one off TV special. It is still possible it will get to #1 though even with average sales. At this stage I am getting a bit sick of him being #2. Btw Shame has flopped overall accross Europe - it is #92 this week on the Hot 100 - the UK #1 will bring it up but it isnt top 10 anywhere else apart from Ireland on Itunes. German promotion will help but it is disappointing.
