iTunes Chart: October 2010
Can someone post up a chart with the pop bars? I just looked on my Itunes and f*** You is about to overtake Shame to claim back the top spot. The top 5 has become very close. If FU knocks 'Shame' off #1 there is little chance Rob and Gary will be able to outsell out even with Live Lounge and Paul O'Grady.

New album in 2010 and tour to end in Dublin
It is impressive alright. Some complaints about sound at the Michael Buble gigs last week though - those up high could not hear well. Other than that it is meant to be a fantastic stadium. Ideal for 360 unlike Croker.

Lillywhite says NLOTH was a flop!
Steve has angrily denied this on Twitter and said the media twisted him comments. He said he never said flop or failure. U2 misjudged things by releasing GOYB as the lead - Magnificent is an amazing song that should have been lead single and would have done much better. NLOTH is a bit like Pop in terms of dividing fans and critics and lesser sales etc - I still love both albums though. But I do hope the next album has a big huge lead single - Mercy better be on it

Achtung Baby next to be re-mastered and re-issued?
Can't wait for this. We better get loads of demos and unreleased tracks - and more importantly another DVD from Zoo TV. Washington was broadcast on TV I recall so that would be fine. Bruce has a truly epic boxset coming out soon for 'Darkness' - 3 cds and 3 dvds - loads of never heard before tracks plus 3 unreleased gigs on DVD.

U2 @ Glastonbury 2010 - Cancelled
Yep even U2.com said they are free on the date so it is pretty much a given they are headlining this year pending any more health problems. :P I would have loved to go but tickets are too expensive tbh and I am hoping rumours are true about the Aviva dates.

In And Out Of Consciousness: 1990-2010
Just saw this. Some interesting points. I am finding myself getting more and more annoyed re- Guy Chambers recently. Rob seems to be speaking about it more now than in all those years after which is odd tbh seeing as they made up. It's not like Guy said something recently in an interview that would have annoyed him is there? It is outrageous that Guy didnt want Coffee, Team & Sympathy on Escapology. Who did he think he was? That is one of Rob's best ever songs and it deserved to be heard by the wider public. To think we nearly didnt have Come Undone due to that same arrogance of Guy. I sincerely hope Guy has changed in these years and his distinct lack of similar success without Rob has brought him back down to reality a bit. I would like them to work together again unless of course Chambers would still dismiss any songs he did not write and was still on an ego trip.

In And Out Of Consciousness: 1990-2010
Robbie Williams: The ego has flown The Northern Advocate 5th October 2010 http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/robbie-2.jpg My life has finally fallen into place. Everything is going brilliantly personally and professionally, I never thought this would happen. It appears by the box set and the CDs and all my memories and wrinkles that I've been and done an awful lot in 20 years. I haven't really given myself permission to pat myself on the back and go: "Well done". But I'm just happy with what's going on in my life now. I've got married, I'm reunited with the guys (from Take That) it seems that there are some exciting things happening and other chapters are blossoming in my life. Mine is a career that happened by chance. I've been a singer for 20 years. Amazing. The irony is all I ever wanted to be as a kid was an actor. Something went very wrong or very right. I did loads of amateur operatic society stuff. I was the Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist and I was one of the king's sons in the King And I and the fiddler in Fiddler On The Roof . One night when I was 13, while we were watching Tight Fit on Top of the Pops my mum said: "Do you want to do that when you're older?", I grimaced at the thought. But then I messed up my GCSEs, my mum heard on Signal Radio of this audition to be in a British version of New Kids On The Block. I had some photos taken, put together a CV, lied on it of course and the timing was impeccable so that's how it started. At 16 my greatest talent was for showing off ... Back then I was this kid with ambition, a dream, a desire and a real appetite for bettering myself in whatever way that may be. I wasn't very academic at all. The highest mark I got in my GCSEs was a D. I was good at showing off and I needed to turn that into a profession. My biggest regret in 20 years is saying: 'I'm rich beyond my wildest dreams" when I signed my record contract with EMI. That was just embarrassing. I was jet-lagged coming from Los Angeles, there were loads of people and a big contract to be signed, I kind of felt dwarfed by it. How do you perform like you're worth that much? It felt like a lottery win. Meant to quote Viv Nicholson (Littlewoods Pools winner) and say: "I'm going to spend, spend, spend." But in my jet-lagged delirium it came out as I'm rich beyond my wildest dreams. Angels is the song that defines me. It's my greatest achievement so far. I do love that song. It touches people. It's played at births, deaths and marriages and that's very, very special. It's a hatch, a match, dispatch song and my biggest bona fide gold plated biggest hit. I'm still searching for, you know, the one that transcends everything and hits people's hearts, I'm still searching for another one like that. There is a track called Coffee, Tea and Sympathy that I'm very proud of on my B-sides and rarities compilation. It should of made it on to one of the albums but Guy Chambers didn't like it, at that time I thought he owned music. Life has definitely turned a corner for me. There have been downs - all well-documented - there has been rehab, a lot of issues. But at 36, my life is changing for the good. With a bit more maturity and a bit more love for myself, I recognise that and I'm getting there, it's happening but slowly, slowly catch a monkey. I'm proud to say Robbie Williams now has a few grey hairs. Maturity-wise I feel about 20, but I've definitely been marked by the old passage of time. Up until my late-20s I was constantly dying my hair all different colours and then at 35, 36, I noticed a couple of grey hairs and you know what, I liked it. I like looking at the mirror and seeing those hairs on my head, it's a testament to my time on the planet. I think ultimately I'm just glad to be growing up at last. source: northernadvocate.co.nz via TRWS

Robbie writes about Give It Sum
Cheers - it is great to see this reported. I have always admired the huge amount of charity work Rob has done over the years but also how he rarely makes it public likes most celebs do in order to improve his image. It is often there for people to see (generally on the Sentinal's website) but hardly ever in mainstream media to an extent where I doubt most people realize the amount of work he has done over the years.

Heart & I - full song
No confirmation it is the next single. Sparkle said Rob said it won't be so who knows? I don't see the point in releasing it if there will be no time for promo. It is a potential hit though. Given an XF slot to sing it it would easily go top 10 but that won't happen if he is back with TT then. Better off just using it as a promo single on radio.

Robbie's Q&A
That is outrageous that your still havent recieved it. Further proof how incompetent his management are. What on earth was the point in doing the competition if they were not going to bother with the prize? I think something similar happens a few years ago when a fan won the prize of meeting Rob - not sure it ever happened but I recall it going on for years.

Waffling Out Of Consciousness
I only noticed this now :P I adore Mrs Brown. Have seen it live 5 times and am always in tears laughing. Which show was it? The last one I saw she took horse steroids by mistake instead of sleeping tablets and went insane and jumped through the kitchen window  There are about half a dozen DVDs available. It has now been turned into a sitcom by the BBC as well. ^_^ Not sure when the first episode will air but it has already been on RTE a few weeks back. It was hilarious  How is everyone? :smoke:

In And Out Of Consciousness: 1990-2010
I know - how I wish I was his manager  Singing 'Feel' aint going to shift any extra albums FFS - the strategy should be to showcase songs that did not feature on the first GH - I'd love to hear Tripping again too but Heart and I should be sung. It is very annoying tbh - he is in the fortunate position of having two slots on prime time TV yet chooses to sing the same song he sings all the time. As I've said many times it is insane that there was not a one off TV special to be screened this Saturday after the XF on ITV. Instead he is wasting time and energy on secret bloody gigs where only a few hundred people can see - most of whom will already be getting the album anyway. I am sick of such ridiculous decisions constantly. At least when he goes back with TT Gary will be proper promo planned - promo that makes sense no doubt

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
Midweeks are in and 1 Cee-Lo Green [40k] 2 Robbie Williams & Gary Barlow [27k] With both verions added together of both songs on Itunes Cee-Lo is still way ahead. Actually after listening to Cee-Lo's song it deserves to beat the dreary Shame. It is very catchy and different and possibly a future classic. At least it is not like last year with a great song (imo) like Bodies being beaten by utter tosh like Bad Boys. It is still possible that Gobbie will get to #1, Paul O'Grady will have a big effect but I wouldnt put money on it.

In And Out Of Consciousness: 1990-2010
Thanks. He performed Feel? He is doing that on Daybreak on Monday as well. How I wish he would change things up - there are 39 tracks on the GH that should be showcased - everyone and their dog knows Feel. I'd personally love to here either some of the older singles or the more recent. He never performed the Rudebox singles live on TV - Lovelight would be great on SCD ^_^ He should be singing 'Heart & I' though to attract more people to buy the album. People will hardly be rushing out to buy it once they hear 'Feel' live for the 900th time - he might as well sing Angels - it would be equally as pointless.

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
   Btw here is the Itunes pop bar - with physicals (whcih are usually feck all but I think they will do quite well for Rob and Gary) added I think Shame is #2 but Cee Lo with both versions combined on downloads alone are easily #1. http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/2010/ukpopbars1010041647.jpg

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
ROBBIE WILLIAMS AND GARY BARLOW 'TOO GAY' FOR STRICTLY The Star Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have come under attack for being “too gay’’ on Strictly Come Dancing. And 10million viewers saw the former feuding singers perform a “bromantic’’ duet on Saturday. The track called Shame marks the end of their long- running spats which started when Robbie walked out of Take That some 15 years ago Dressed in matching black suits, Robbie, 36, and Gary, 39, kept gazing into one another’s eyes like lovers while sitting on stools. Then they got on their feet and did a few dance moves before hugging one another. One mum posted a message on the BBC Strictly forum: “I’m not certain how appropriate Robbie and Gary making googly eyes and singing a love song at each other may be. “A lot of young boys were switching on at 6.55pm to watch Merlin afterwards.”Another viewer added: “I almost expected tongues.” There were also protests about former EastEnders star Kara Tointon, 27, and her kinky S&M style outfit. After taking a tumble, she said: “It was the dominatrix look I was going for and then I fell over! How embarrassing.” One viewer blasted: “My 80-year-old mum does not want someone telling her about being a dominatrix. “She just wants some family entertainment.” http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/15670...y-for-Strictly/

Heart & I - full song
I kinda hope that is true Sparkle. No point in releasing another single if he isnt going to promote it. What show were they on on the radio?

Heart & I - full song
Really like 'Heart & I' - it is miles better than 'Shame' and sounds much more like a Robbie track. A very IC-era sound to the melody and a mixture between 'Ghosts' and 'Don't Stop Talking' - obviously unlike 'Shame' he didnt just write the lyrics to this one and that is something that is obvious. Gaz's music suits the track well and I assume it was produced by Stuart Price considering it has a Killer type of vibe to it with a hint of U2 as well? Some great lyrics on this track as well I have to say - classic Rob. I too assume it is about going back to rehab. Overall the music, melody and lyrics are all vastly superior to Shame so well done to Rob and Gaz for proving they don't just come up with bland tosh. I am however shocked that it is being released as a single though considering he will be well underway promoting the TT single and album by the time it is released is I assume late November/Early December. Is he planning on promoting it at the same time? I kind of hope it is not released if he is going to do little to no promo due to being busy with TT and this track just like Morning Sun does not deserve to reach a low position in the charts.

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
I doubt Shame will be #1 now. A song called 'f*** You' by someone by the name of Cee Lo Green is likely to beat them  It is currently #4 on Itunes and climbing (apperently #1 when combined) where as Shame is #7. Also F.U is #1 on Airplay and Shame is #3 - and more significant on TV Airplay last week 'Shame was #38 but this song was #4. Rob and Gaz should've waited to release it next week and perform on the XF. SCD wasnt good enough promo as I doubt it main viewer ship download singles much :P Btw apparently TT and Rob are going to be on the XF this coming Saturday or Sunday to sing the Flood and an old track. Seems very odd tbh - why waste an XF slot when the single isnt out till November? And it will only have had it's first play on radio? Also annoying as Rob should be promoting his GH out the following day. He should be doing a one off gig on ITV after the XF on Saturday to promote it but instead will be singing with TT when their single and album won't be out till the following month? Also Rob will be on Daybreak tomorrow for the whole show and will be singing Shame with Gaz as well.

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
Shame on SCD last night. Never did I think Rob would be on SCD sitting on a stool to such an old fashioned sounding track and standing up at the key change. :( It was vocally a very strong performance from both though - and I did think it was amsuing how eager Rob was to get up and move and interact with the crowd but Gaz had to tip him on the shoulder and then later suggested they sit back down on the stools. PurXoUMNPZM

'Shame' - Robbie and Gary duet
I agree - to promote it for the first time at this event was perhaps not the best move. But I suppose Gary wouldve wanted to be apart of it and there would be little point in doing an old TT song with just the two of them when they actually have a duet now. I still find it very odd that the song is still not out yet - what is it another two weeks to go? Far too long a gap but I am sure between them Gaz and Rob's management know what they are doing

Robbie - Twickenham SEPT 12th 2010
I really enjoyed it I have to say. I was delighted to see a vintage Robbie performance in a huge venue with him performing in a very energetic manner. LOVED LMEY  I have to say though his voice was strained due to him running around so much for the firs time live in years - he didnt even perform like that at the BRITS - and it shows these days. Back in the days of his touring constantly he could run around for 2 hours and still sound very like he does on the CD's but that is not the case anymore. If he stood still or at least didnt run around like for example at the Proms he wouldnt have to worry about it but for a big gig like this - this sort of performance was exactly what was needed and I am delighted he chose to perform this way and not tone things down like he has been doing. Even though I adore it 'Come Undone' prob shouldve been replaced by Millenium or Rock DJ as it is more of a fans fave and not one of the 'big' songs to the general public. Not sure Rob recognizes the difference though :P Strained voice aside it was fantastic to see the Robster back performing in a huge venue again and working the crowd. :cheer: :cheer: Oh and the performance of 'Shame' was ok I suppose - wasnt as cheesy as I had feared. I was actually surprised Rob sounded well singing it after running around for the previous 10 minutes - I'll look forward to seeing it sung in a smaller venue as it aint exactly a stadium anthem is it? I wonder when the next performance of it will be? First X Factor live show I suppose? Not much else to promote on really these days

Robbie - Twickenham SEPT 12th 2010
Tom Jones is defiantly performing - he has been quoted and everything. Plus it's on Rob's OS which as we all know is the home of factual info. :D Rob apparently said in an interview he will be doing 5 songs. As long as (Shame aside) the rest of Rob songs and not TT songs I will be happy. This will be the last big solo gig Rob does for a long time so I want no duets of BFG with Gaz  Tickets are nearly sold out according to an article I read the other day - pretty expensive tbh. Not for here in Ireland but for the UK.

EastEnders ·
I have to admit that was pretty phenomenal stuff. It was one of those very rare times when a soap is in the same league of great US thrillers/dramas and many great films in terms of being on the edge of the seat totally glued to the TV. It was fan-bloody-tastic tbh. Babs acting was totally OTT but Steve McFadden was amazing and if he doesnt recieve best actor next year it will be outrageous (to even mention Scott Malson is the same sentence would be ridiculous). And I was sure Stacey was going to die at the end but I am glad she didnt. So will Peggy be in tomorrows episode now she isnt dead or is that it?
