  1. No that is the standart U2 set - 23/24 songs - around 2 hours. What do you think they will play? Willie Williams has confirmed that the new leg of the tour will have a new opener so I think it's pretty much a given they won't open Glasto with 'Breathe'.
  2. There is a 32 page Bono magazine in todays Irish Star with loads of pics and an interview as well. Nothing new revealed regarding the new album though - he gives really long answers for questions that hold little interest and then one word answeres when it comes to what we really want to know
  3. Yeah it's a good tune alright - but tbh he has written loads of similar type of songs over the years that have never been singles - most noteably 'A Place To Crash' - which is far superior imo and should have been the 4th single from IC -it was actually planned as the 4th along with Ghosts as a double A-Side but than he changed his mind and released Rudebox. :P
  4. Very impressive line-up it has to be said - Rob must be delighted.. I look forward to watching it :cheer:
  5. Morning Sun 19 Bodies 27 Blasphemy 11 Last Days Of Disco 27+ Deceptacon 5- Difficult For Weirdos 21 Superblind 19
  6. And here it is - with Rob and Russel Brand on vocals and Trevor Horn producing (plus the opera singer from Starstruck at the start and end (her name escapes me). It's up on the official site and will be on radio tomorrow. It's sounds pretty much the same as the original tbh - they could';ve done more tbh - I am sure it will go to #1 though. xVM4aKPN7a8
  7. Dreadful Cowell-like clothes  I assume it is for the video? If not than he must be dressing in the dark  Wonder if Rob and Gary are doing a duets album? Where are the rest of the lads? Seems odd tbh.
  8. I have to say i am very suprised he is bothering with another single after Morning Sun flopping. Although having said that Do You Mind is very upbeat and perfect for the summer and with the World Cup etc. Infact I bet it will be the theme tune for Soccer Aid as it was used for some Footie event a while back if I recall. I can't see him doing any promo for it as he hasnt performed it at any of the promo gigs last year but I think it will be a great single and should get alot of airplay as it is very catchy. He's written loads of similar but far better songs over the years that were not singles so in a way I wish he had've just left it at Mornign Sun but this way the album will at least have a better chance of passing the 1 million mark in the UK. :D
  9. Shockingly it appears Rob is set to release a 4th single from RKTVS - Do You Mind. Well according to the Daily Mail anyway. I assume this pic is from the video - if not than why on earth is he dressed so bad? http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/article-1278838-099A2187000005DC-15.jpg TRWS

What a BRILLIANT episode :o   :w00t: :o I am so glad 24 will go out on a high now after what started off as a pretty average season. :yahoo:
  12. Not too long until Glasto :cheer: Was just looking around U2 forums at what people reckon the band will play and there was a quote from Willie Williams that indicated it would be a one-off setlist designed in a 'once in a lifetime' type of way, so not the standard 360 set :cheer: It needs to be packed with hits and upbeat rockier tunes - perfect for some of the older material to make a welcome return. I hope they do not open with 4 NLOTH songs as it would be madness - alot of the crowd won't be U2 fans and will want anthems that they can sing along to. Having said that I don't think opening with some very well know like 'Vertigo' would be ideal either - too obvious. Something from the 90's would be brilliant such as 'Even Better Than The Real Thing' I hope the setlist is something along these lines - not my dream setlist but a realistic one. 1. Even Better Than The Real Thing 2. Get On Your Boots 3. I Will Follow 3. Magnificent 4. Beautiful Day 5. New Years Day 6. Until The End Of The World 7. I Still Havent Found What I'm Looking For (Stand By Me) 8 Stuck In A Moment 9 Desire 10 Elevation 11. No Line On The Horizon 12. Out Of Control 13. The Unforgettable Fire 13. City of Blinding Lights 15. Vertigo 16. Sunday Bloody Sunday 17. Pride (In The Name Of Love) 18. Walk On 19. Mysterious Ways 20. One 21. Where The Streets Have No Name 22. With Or Without You 23. Bad 24. 40 I also hope for the return of the UK #1 singles 'The Fly' and 'Discotheque' and Hold Me, Kiss Me, Thril Me, Kill Me' would be EPIC at Glasto :D
  13. :birthday: Bono - the big 5-0 for the greatest frontman on the planet by a country mile :cheer: I thought he was only 47 or 48 - bad fan

  16. Shocking news. The man was an Irish institution and a radio icon. He had an enormous impact and had such a unique way of broadcasting both on the radio and on his TV shows. I used to listen to him on a regular basis on my way to work - a controversial figure to put it mildly but one that will never be replaced. My thoughts are with his family and friends. R.I.P Gerry.
  17. Well internal flights in the rest of Ireland outside Dublin seem to be fine but Ryan Air have said there won't be any flights in or out of Ireland till Monday at least  Whitney Houston is playing the O2 tomorrow night in Dublin and actually hired an entire Ferry over from the UK  Loads of people were hoping it would be cancelled considering how appauling her UK and Aussie gigs were
  18. So have you put all you DVD's in it yet? You should arrange them by actor :smoke: I did that a while back - I have an insane amount of Bob DeNiro films  Btw did you watch the amazing vids I piosted in the U2 Rock In Roll HOF thread? Seriously brilliant

  20. Morning :drink: Which DVD unit did you get in the end? I am annoyed. I hate when I waste time watching rubbish on Friday nights. The LLS show was appauling and Wossy was crap apart fromt he legend that is Keifer Sutherland. I should just Sky Plused him and watched a film.
  21. The European certificate fig is certificates per country added up, many of the certs are from when the album came out so are likely out of date. If you add up certs for any album per country it always comes much lower than the actual overall shipent. The album has shipped near 1m in the UK alone, and at least between 400,000-600,000 in Germany. So it is fair to say around 1.5m between the UK and Germany alone. Overall I think it is highly likely it has passed 2m in Europe and will be awarded 2xplat shortly. Global sales were at least 2.3m as of the end of last year afterall, so it has easily done at least 2.5m globally.

RobbieWilliams.com This is wrong...we need to put it right, says Robbie Williams By VIRGINIA WHEELER Published: Today The Sun 14th April http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture3-12.png Take heart ... Robbie Williams meets quake victims Denise and her brother EMOTIONAL Robbie Williams shakes the hands of some of the thousands of children left homeless after the Haiti earthquake. The singer was visibly moved as he toured a tented city full of quake refugees. Unshaven Robbie, wearing a baseball cap with the message God Bless, looked shocked as he walked through the squalor left by the disaster. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture5-5.png Moved ... Robbie visits quake refugees in tented city Robbie travelled to the devastated country in his position as an ambassador for UNICEF, the United Nations International Children's Fund. His arrival earlier this week coincided with the 90-day anniversary of the disaster. And his first port of call was the vast tent city known as Pinchinat, set up on football pitches in the southern Haitian city of Jacmel and now home to 3,000. Big-hearted Robbie, 36, was taken to meet some of the hundreds of children who are now forced to make this place their home. He shook hands with Denise Emurielle, nine, and her brother, who lost their home and are now living in temporary shelters. oth youngsters are now going back to school thanks to a UNICEF programme. And the former Take That superstar yesterday told how he was "humbled" by the children's plight. Robbie said: "I met children who were injured, who had been separated from their parents and were living in temporary shelters or in the streets. "This earthquake hit children the hardest. The children are so vulnerable. They're living day-to-day without the basic things they need and at risk of violence and abuse. "I don't know about you, but I think this is wrong and we need to put it right." Denise's school building was destroyed during the quake. But she is now back in the lessons that she loves thanks to the work of UNICEF and their partners, who have set up temporary buildings. Stoke star Robbie has been a UNICEF ambassador for nine years. He is taking part in a Soccer Aid event at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground on June 6, where a team of footballing legends and celebrities from England will face a team of legends and celebrities from the Rest of the World. Robbie was the mastermind behind the children's charity's Soccer Aid programme, raising cash through football games and events. He is also now looking to raise millions through a nationwide sponsored football keepy-uppy challenge. Robbie said yesterday: "Everyone knows I'm a massive football fan and now I'm asking everyone to join me and Keep It Up For Soccer Aid. "It's really simple: do as many sponsored keepy-uppys as you can to make a real difference to the lives of children. "In Haiti, UNICEF took immediate action and have already made an enormous difference to the lives of the children affected by the earthquake. They have set up feeding centres, provided clean water and helped children to get back to school. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/therobbiewilliamssiteukau/Picture8-2.png Ambassador ... Robbie "But much more needs to be done in Haiti - and in many other countries where children need our help. "That's why this year's Soccer Aid is more important than ever." A host of footballing icons and fellow UNICEF goodwill ambassadors joined Robbie in encouraging Brits to take part in the Soccer Aid campaign. Barcelona hero Lionel Messi, Portsmouth's Nwankwo Kanu - the most decorated African player in history - and Icelandic national legend Eidur Gudjohnsen, now at Tottenham, all threw their support behind the campaign. Messi said: "Football has given me so much joy and so many opportunities and I would like to see a world where all children have a chance to learn, play and have fun. Your support will help UNICEF's work for children's rights worldwide. Keep it up for Soccer Aid!" The 7.0 magnitude Haiti earthquake on January 12 destroyed the Caribbean country, killing nearly 250,000 people and leaving more than a million homeless. A further million children were also believed to be orphaned by the disaster. A spokesman for UNICEF said: "Ambassador Robbie Williams visited Haiti to meet children who had been affected by the devastating earthquake - and to see the work that UNICEF is doing to help those children and their families. "During the visit he made a short film which will be shown during Soccer Aid 2010 on June 6 on ITV1. "On his return from Haiti, Robbie is launching a special Soccer Aid challenge to raise money for children all over the world, called Keep It Up For Soccer Aid."
