  1. I predict between 550-600K. There is still a possibility it will sell over 600K but I think around 590K is more realistic. It won't beat Oasis but will beat Coldplay as the second fastest seller ever. And yes, sales for Saturday count. It's usually, especially at this time of year, the biggest sales day after Monday. It will sell over 100K tomorrow imo.
  2. I have come across very few Robbie fans who dislike the album. The few that do either A) hated Rudebox and electro songs on RKTVS or B) will say they hate the album just because it is with TT regardless of the music. The overall response appears to be a mix between shock (in a good way) that it sounds the way it does and relief.
  3. Latest Itunes updates The Flood is - #3, #31 & #88 Never Forget - #68 Those performance will have a very good effect on albums sales tomorrow for Progress, TT's Ultimate Collection and Rob's GH too.

We? You are reminding me of of a certain Mr Walsh. The facts are Westlife's popularity has been on a sharp decline for the last number of albums. Their last album sold less than 1M copies globally which is a shocking result. So far this single looks set to be their worst ever chart performance for a lead single from an album. The album will probably sell less than their last. Best selling band of the century? Well yes, but TT are going to overtake them to that title very soon, possibly even with this album. And don't forget the #1 act of the century is Robbie himself. Westlife have not sold more albums or singles in the UK. Outside the UK yes Westlife have sold more but they have also released more albums - plus their global sales are constantly being inflated. They have sold around 40M records - TT have sold around 36M - it is only a matter of time before TT overtake them. The last time a Westlife album sold over 3M worldwide was their Greatest Hits back in 2002 - since then they have had several albums sell under 2M WW and a couple of others that barely passed that figure. TT are more popular in the UK than Westlife are in the entire world. What do you predict Westlife's first week sales will be next week for the album? Do you think they will manage half of what 'Progress' sold in it's first day? :smoke:
  5. Speaking of world domination that did you hear Terry saying they were the biggest band on the planet. :o  I do think they are all mates again but the real work hasn't even begun (the tour) so it will only be then really when their friendship is tested. -_- I am sure the new single will be announced soon and be on radio next month. The Flood has been around for ages now so a new single would be good soon. Kidz is the best choice imo - gives a good taster of the sound of the album as a whole and it's Mark Owen on lead with Rob on the chorus. That or SOS. Wait is good but I don't think it is suitable for a second single or single at all - they voted for it during the documentary though. <_<
  6. Yeah the new year is the most likely date. Just before the BRITS would make sense! Although I would look to see a second XF performance on the final of the second single - which is hopefully Kidz. :D
  7. Robbie had his pop star hair style. He could do with his fringe being cut a little but it's far better than that HORRID comb over he had been sporting. :puke2: His hair at last years CIN suited him too. All slicked back. -_- Anyway - no-one answered my question - when is the next TV performance? Surely they are doing a TV special on ITV at some stage before Xmas?
  8. Yeah Gary's hair was a bit daft looking all slicked back like that. It was fine looking on the XF but odd looking tonight
  9. Apart from little Mark (who I doubt would be capable of growing one), Rob is the only member without a beard :o Considering his love of facial hair why doesn't he grow his back. Infact let it grow back to the way it was in this pic. It would be fantastic :smoke: http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00480/SNF0326D_380_480325a.jpg

The entire country is bloody furious. You should just hear the anger on radio shows over the past week - it is unreal. People are in utter shock at the loss of sovereignty due to the IMF coming in to fix the mess our incompetent Govt created. The FF politicians have been lying and mis-leading the public all week with constant denials about the bail-out - and Brian Cowen should be shot. Their arrogance and refusal to accept any responsibility is just insane. As someone said the other day - they are living in alice in wonderland. And one of the main culprits Bertie Ahern is nowhere to be seen. Infact the last time he was seen was in a cupboard in an advert to promote the News Of The World. At least now the IMF are here the lies will stop and it will be sorted out by competent people. They will no doubt cut everything and anything but at least there will be a clear plan. The next step is getting rid of the current show of bast*rds with a General Election. It's only a matter of months now. B)
  11. Really enjoyed it all too. :D Robbie was so much more relaxed tonight - from the wink at the very start to the end - there was no comparison to the XF in terms of how comfortable he looked performing. But that is to be expected. XF was the first performance in 15 years with nearly 20M people watching and waiting for him and them to slip up. Although in many ways those very nerves added to the XF performance as it was so intense. Once he performed it once the second time was always going to be much smoother. I only had two issues with the performance though. Was it just me or was there some sort of echo effect on Rob's vocals at the big 'todaaaaaaaaaaay' note? It did sound good on the track but it sort of annoyed me. Not that there is anything wrong with it. Bono uses it a lot on U2' tour and it's still a live vocal but I just found it a bit odd. The other thing that annoyed me was that the 'performance' itself was a carbon copy of the XF - the movements, the moving away from the mics at the final bridge etc etc - that predictability kind of annoys me a little but I can understand why it is done this way as it wouldn't look right if all five of them were just doing their own thing on stage. Speaking of that anyone else find Jason's hand movements odd? I noticed it before but never bothered mentioning it. Never Forget was fantastic. Howard sang it well. It was very odd to see Rob singing backing vocals again in that way. You could see he wanted to burst out and sing the whole thing  He was even singing the main lyrics at one point away from the microphone :P It was great to finally see it sung by the five of them though, and it was a polished performance. ^_^ Very enjoyable overall. Once again on a totally different level to Blandlife and JLS. :D What is the next TV performance anyone know? Graham Norton? Paul O'Grady? Surely they need to have the first live TV interview soon?

Yes but things are twice the price here plus you get free heath care in the UK. :smoke: Have a look at this. The former leader of the Irish Labour Party Pat Rabbitte blowing his top at a member of the Govt last night :D zqx4E5tq1Bo
  13. FINALLY - Great news :D What did Rob say on it? When you say a disc do you just mean a regular CD or a proper Vinyl? Platinum awards are usually in Vinyl I think. Looking forward to the pic :D
  14. 353K now :P It will sell at least 500K this week and it is still possible it will pass 600K with Saturday sales which will be massive, even more so considering CIN the previous night. It won't beat the Oasis record but the second fastest selling album ever and the fastest seller of the century (can't see that being beaten at any stage considering the decrease in album sales, constant increase in illegal downloading and this being a unique situation where two fanbases have combined) - they should be delighted.
  15. This is seriously ridiculous. Is it just this person from the OS you have contacted? What about IE Music? Perhaps emailing or phoning them will move things along quicker. Anyone associated with the OS seem to be totally incompetent so maybe try a different approach? Is there even a number to call to contact the OS Management? Have any of the mods on the OS contacted the Admin on your behalf?
  16. Will be good to hear them do Never Forget for the first time as a five piece live. Kind have preferred it to have been on the tour though in a massive stadium with all the Queen-like clapping from the crowd as oppose to in a tiny BBC studio.
  17. He pretty much said a while ago that they were working in the studio again so I am sure they will have another album out this time next year unless they all fall out again during the tour. Either that or a third GH with a few new tracks will be released next Xmas I am sure. No contract has been signed though - Rob is still on loan from EMI who he is still signed to until (i think) the end of this year when he finishes promo for IAOOC abroud (ie. singing Feel on Wetten Das  ) TT's contract must be up now anyway so I suspect if a new one is signed it will be far far bigger than the £3M 3 studio album deal they are completing with 'Progress'. Considering their love for touring (the others - not Rob) a deal with Live Nation would be ideal- although it all depends how long they want to be around for.
  18. Rob and Gaz are over in Germany to promote 'Shame' Odd I know at this late stage but it is from 'Popstars'. Here is the performance. They seem to be having a good laugh - Rob is always a million times more relaxed outside the UK without all the pressure ^_^ FgfWv2Ftmfg

For starters - the album will likely sell at least 100K on Saturday alone - so even if it does sell 50K today and 50K tomorrow - sales will still be WELL over 500K. It is very much following in the trend of The Circus - actually doing better in terms of day by day decreases. It remains highly likely sales will exceed 600K. Btw Charis - you never did get around to telling us your thoughts on these insanely huge sales? In all likely hood it will end up selling not twice but three times the amount you predicted. :D

Thanks. I got the sales from a poster on Ukmix but obviously it was inflated. Still fantastic sales - barely any dip in sales compared to Tue :D

TT now on 370,000 apparently. 65k sold yesterday - I expected it to dip a good bit more compared to Tuesday so this is great. :D
  22. Was just looking at the official midweek chart on Radio 1's site and 'The Ultimate Collection' is back in the top 40 albums. 'Shame' has also made a big jump up as high as #31 (it was 43 last Sunday). Plus of course Robbie's GH is back up at #9. Leaving the unprecedented sales of 'Progress' aside - the hype has certainly more than paid off  http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/update/albums
  23. No wonder 8 Letters sounds like Vienna - it is a sample and Midge Ure and the other members are credited as songwriters of the song  That is shocking really. Why were Lennon/Macca not credited on 'Shame? :o
  24. I'm surprised actually - he did say in an interview a few months ago that 'Morning Glory' is probably his fave album ever. :o
