it's ok... picked up the album a couple weeks ago. Not as good as their last so I don't recommend it to anyone...

oh - didn't realize that. I was in the US at the time and would buy them occasiionally from Tower (too expensive to buy weekly).... early 90's though it was good

i miss melody maker! Used to much like it, and it kept NME in line as well (tho NME still played 2nd fiddle). anyways...i made my point... i'll leave yoiu to this thread ;)

sorry - Keane is no example of a good music group either! what do you mean, 'i would rather have this in the times than Keane'. When did our society decide we were ok with being told about ****wits that make uninteresting music?! I admit to never reading mainstream music press, as it's just that, mainstream c**p!

sorry... but there are SO many better bands and role-models out there. All of Pete's fans need to grow up and move on...

got this many months ago from the label and had on high rotation since. Nice to see a song I like a lot getting some commercial success for once ;)

but no one knows who the Faint are so who cares... EVERY Band rips off another... the one that gets the sales is the one that gets the credit. The Killers were a manufactured band tho - must certainly...

touche! They had ONE good song. The rest was utter c**p, wannabe Killers rip-off... I don't expect much from this band at all and unless there is a lot of (good) buzz about the album I doubt I'll even listen to it...

i'd love to see some sales to prove that... No one i know (in the UK) gives a **** about them... except for some of my older friends (er.. .my age (30ish)) who USED to listen to them... They were HUGE in the US tho.. used to sell out arena's...

i have 2-3... listen to them once and then they collect dust... unless i'm a huge fan, i'll be passing on this series for now on. Nothing against Air mind.

i even saw them live on the 12 memories tour... was pretty bland. Keane opened and they were even more bland :(

i usually pick these cd's up but I think I'll pass on that one...

they were always much bigger outside of the UK. Sad but true. Anyways - I just saw them in Benicassim for the first time! Been a fan for over 15 years and what a treat to finally see them. The best part was... they were GREAT! I danced myself silly (so yes tigerboy, you can dance to DM ;)) and had a great time over all - and so did the others I was with (only 1 other big fan in the group). I wasn't expecting that much (New Order, a similar group of similar age/ilk bored me to tears at Glasto for instance) so it was great. They changed a lot of the versions/intro's to keep it interesting (but I still knew what song it was by the second bar ;))

most those remixes are pretty old... will check this out though (am a sucker for remixes)

i think they are learning another guitar chord (to get them to 5!) and how to move their capo off the 2nd fret. It's a long tedious process but I'm sure they'll get through it and come out with another album soon. :)

bored me to tears recently - an electro edge will make me want to hear the new stuff for sure!
